Today was the premiere of Gordon Ramsey’s MasterChef 2012. The show began by reminding viewers what the MasterChef 2012 could win. Some of the prizes this year included a $250,000 grand prize, and their own cookbook. After touring around the country, they narrowed it down to some of the best home chefs around the country. These chefs had to present their best dish to judges Gordon Ramsey, Joe Bastianich, and Graham Elliot.

Not all the contestants were knockout finalist, and only a few made it to the next round. Tonight views were treated with some hilarious misfires, tear-worthy triumphs, and standout dishes and contestants. So what happened on tonight’s premiere of MasterChef 2012?
