As stated, the final three artists standing on The Voice 2013 Finale Monday night were Michelle Chamuel, The Swon Brothers and Danielle Bradbery. The majority of the predictions on various fan sites from bloggers and in viewer polls gave strong odds for a Danielle Bradbery win tonight.

After the final votes were counted and the official results were announced, who won The Voice 2013 Season 4? Did Blake Shelton get his third victory in a row and have even more to celebrate tonight on his birthday? Or did Usher take home the crown as a winner during his first season as a coach? Here are the final results from the The Voice Finale results show for Season 4!

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!************

We start this episode of Pretty Little Lairs at Rear Window Brew where the four ladies are discussing Hanna’s mom and the mysterious black figure at Detective Wilden’s funeral. Come to think of it, where is Melissa Hastings? Out of town. Likely story! Spencer constructs food to see if the mysterious plane passenger had enough time to rescue the girls from the fire. Mona shows up late but the girls still aren’t buying she’s one of them. She dares them to search the RV if they still don’t believe her. But WE know that the RV is missing—and soon they will too! Ok, waiting, waiting—and…NOW they know. Dun dun dun! Mona gets in her car, frustrated, only to realize…she’s not alone. A masked figure grabs her from the backseat. She manages to escape…and loses the car in the process. It almost runs over Mona, Aria, and Emily, who lands on a big old rock! Well, THAT was a crazy beginning.

Cut to Hanna’s house, where she gets a text Mona found her car dumped behind the school. Hanna’s Mom Ashley is back and they discuss the recently deceased Wilden. Hanna tells her mom that she found her mom’s phone in the mailbox and Mom looks a little surprised that Hanna has it and makes a quick cover up.

On to Spencer’s house, where she opens a letter from the University of Pennsylvania, which she unfortunately did not get into. Back to Hanna, who’s walking with Aria, still debating who put Ashley’s phone in the coffin. They spot Shauna and Hanna decides to play detective by confronting her. Love Hanna! Shauna plays dumb, of course.

Emily meets up with Paige at school where they dream big about Stanford, where you apparently can design your own dorm room online. When I was in college you lived in like a glorified closet but whatev. Paige notices that Emily is injured from her fall but Emily covers up with a lie and we all know how THAT is going to end.

Spencer hides the letter in her room when Toby comes over, acting nervous, especially when his phone rings. Spencer tells him about the RV and reminds him that there were supposed to be no more secrets when he keeps acting suspicious, but he blows her off and leaves.

Off to school where the girls prepare to leave class. Spencer is slow to follow and ends up having a chat with Ezra. She tells him the dismal college news and reveals that she will be the first one in her fam to not attend the U of Penn. He encourages her to apply for other schools and offers to help with her essay. Oh, Ez!

Hanna and Emily are chatting on the phone while Emily looks for a heating pad. Yeah, cause those always fix majorly bruised shoulders. Hanna finds some odd laundry. Her mom apparently tried to clean off an expensive pair of shoes with a toothbrush. Meawhile Emily pops some pills. Oh, Emily. This is about to become an after school special.

Aria goes off in search of Holden at that old karate dojo or whatever they’re called. Remember him? She finds a cutie named Jake instead and asks for some self defense lessons. Um, OK. Hanna confronts her mom about the high heels and Ashley becomes quite defensive. Go figure! (“I’ve come to the conclusion that everybody is a bitch on this show!” –my fiancé during the commercial break.)

Hanna is on the move and Alison’s mom stops her. She’s doing some outdoor home improvement and wants to chat and appears to really love brining up Hanna’s plus size days. Hanna looks up at a window and seems intrigued, then think she hears something. It’s…a bird. Super. Named Tippi. (Hitchcock ref, no doubt.) Tippi sounds like Alison. Bizarre!

Spencer approaches Ezra for help with her essay, which was well written and moving! But is it something she wants to SHARE? I think he’s concerned she’ll come off as cray if she tells potential colleges that her friend was murdered and she ended up in a mental hospital. What about HONESTY, huh?!

Aria stars her kick boxing defense lessons or whatever they are and we all know that she’s going to hook with this guy. She’s coming off as pretty over eager to fend off someone! He asks her the classic “Do you trust me?” question. Yes, because girls should ALWAYS trust strange men they met YESTERDAY. She gets a little worked up over the query and admits she doesn’t feel safe in general.

Hanna quizzes Alison’s mom about Alison’s remains. Flashback to Alison and her mom having a pleasant lunch, sarcasm intended. Alison begs her mom to allow her a group sleepover at their Cape House and mentions that the group is falling apart and needs this. Alison does this weird thing where she looks like her head is going to explode by holding her breath. It works and her mom caves in. Trouble is, Hanna tells her mom that the girls were never invited. And the bird does a weird whistle.

Back to Aria and Jake. Feel the sexual tension! She does and goes in for a quick kiss, then apologizes and gets the heck outta dodge. Well, she DOES want to see other people! While waiting at a stop sign she spies Mona talking to a cop. Aria pulls over and insists Mona get in the car. Aria quizzes her as to her motives. Mona claims she’s scoping out the sitch and that she overheard that the south shore of the lake is a crime scene and they found Wilden’s foot prints as well as some high heeled footprints. High heels…like ones that were being cleaned with a toothbrush? Dun dun dun!

Spencer tears up her essay in a rage and asks Toby what his damage is, and he admits he moved the RV. In return he got a transcript from Radley that his mom wrote on the night that she killed herself.

Emily prepares to swim and takes MORE PILLS. THAT NEVER ENDS WELL FOR ANYONE. Shauna stops by and casually mentions that she too is out for the open spot at Stanford. And Emily TAKES MORE PILLS. Augh.

Spencer reads the hospital transcript, which makes it sound like Toby’s mom was not in a suicidal state of mind. So…murder? A cover-up? Speaking of cover-ups Toby makes her swear to keep this between them.

At the meet Emily prepares to race. She’s not looking too hot! In the pool we see that her vision is failing her and she hits the wall. Head first. And there’s blood! I hate to say I told you so but WHAT DID I TELL YOU! Emily gets stretchered out and the paramedics ask how she hurt her shoulder. She lies AGAIN. Sheesh.

Aria visits Emily and is quite hyper. She admits to kissing Jake, who smells like cinnamon, apparently. Hanna shows up with Tippi the bird, convinced it is the missing link to Alison. Aria tells Hanna about the lake crime scene and Hanna immediately fears the heels were her mom’s. The bird whistles the song again. A clue?!

Hanna goes home and confronts her mom about her trip to New York and asks about Wilden. Ashley tells her she did not kill him.

The bird is whistling again. Apparently Spencer got stuck with old Tippi! Spencer is researching Toby’s mom on line and obsessively calling Hanna, then realizes Tippi’s whistling…a phone number! Dun dun dun!

Aria is playing on her phone and spies someone lurking outside her house. Ding dong! It’s…Jake. He smells like cinnamon, you know! Also, how does he know where lives? He’s in the midst of asking her out when Spencer calls. She offers to take him up on the coffee and he smiles. Pretty cute.

At Emily’s home Paige comforts Emily and Emily admits how her shoulder REALLY got hurt and that she lied to Paige to protect her.

Hanna, Aria, and Spencer are trying to figure out the number. They go to record the bird…but the bird is gone! Someone came in through the window and took Tippi! They have pet stores for this type of thing, people.

Cut to Hanna’s mom Ashley acting creepy and dumping out the suspicious laundry bag. She rolls up the high heels in paper and is clearly getting rid of them. She heads toward outside and the light bulb on the porch bursts and I jump. Over the credits someone with black gloves is eating dinner…and it looks bird shaped. Very “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.”

We start off with a look at last night’s episode of The Voice season 4 and the final performances by our top 3 on The Voice 2013! Every finalist made it into the top 10 on the iTunes chart, in fact, half of the top 10 singles were that of our finalists! We are now watching a performance from Christina Aguilera and Pitbull of his song, featuring her “Feel This Moment”. Amazing performance and you can tell that everyone there is extremely happy to see her on The Voice 2013 stage!

Shakira thinks that the stand out moment throughout the show has been the amazing talent in all the artists! Adam thinks that this is really a close race and even though he called for Danielle Bradbery to win it all last night. Usher is thanking everyone for their tremendous support for Michelle Chamuel throughout the season. Blake admits that he doesn’t care about the 3 peat, he is more concerned about this year and he thinks that everyone should be commended for their hard work.

For their bring back performance the Swon Brothers are going to be performing with Holly Tucker, Justin Rivers and Amber Carrington to perform “Stars Tonight” by Lady Antebellum! Such an amazing group of talent and they do a great job with this song and they get the crowd going with them, just outstanding!

We are now taking some time to listen to what everyone thinks about the bromance between Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. This is pretty funny watching all the outtakes all over again! Apparently their bromance is going through some turmoil with this season of The Voice.

We now get to watch Michelle Chamuel perform with One Republic and they are singing “Counting Stars”! Just amazing, she totally belongs on tour with them! I really do love seeing her with her on stage, her high energy always gets the crowd going!

We are now taking a look at Usher’s unconventional coaching methods, however, it got him this far! Now we have Blake and his team mocking him, haha! This is hilarious, they all have a very good relationship and you can tell they have become quite the family.

We now have Florida Georgia Line performing with Nelly their smash country hit “Cruise”! Love this song and as odd as the duet with Nelly is, it sounds awesome! Haven’t seen Nelly perform anything in quite sometime, is he making a comeback?

We are now getting a performance from Vedo, Josiah Hawley, Kris Thomas and Garrett Gardner of “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” by The Temptations. They do an amazing job with this song and it makes me wonder why they didn’t make it further in the competition! They harmonize very well together, maybe they should consider making a group together?! I think so!

Danielle Bradbery asked Caroline Glaser, Sarah Simmons and Amber Carrington do come back and perform “All American Girl” by Carrie Underwood. I love this performance and this would have to go onto my list of favorite group performances for the season! Just awesome!

We are now looking at some of the best clips from The Voice season 4 confessionals, this is hilarious, some of them are repeats from the season and some are never seen before!

Our next performance is by Bruno Mars and he is singing his newest single “Treasure”. This is a pretty electrifying performance by him, not that any of them have ever been boring. This is a pretty catchy song too, I might have to download this later!

We are now getting a performance from the Swon Brothers and the legendary Bob Seger with “Night Moves”. This is a great performance and what better way to celebrate how far this country and classic rock loving duo has come then to perform with Bob Seger!

We are now talking about Shakira and her English, how she knows very little of it but the words that she uses…no one knows what they mean! Haha! We are now watching as the native English speaking coaches try to spell the words that Shakira has used. Pretty hilarious!

Cathia, Karina Iglesias, Judith Hill and Sasha Allen are now performing “No You’re Never Gonna Get It” by En Vogue. All I can say is WOW! Such a powerhouse of voices and they all sound amazing together, another group that should collaborate!

We are getting a look at some behind the scenes footage of the artists getting ready for the shows, Michelle is hilarious “Are you straightening my hair???” EPIC! Carson Daly just surprised them all with brand new cars, they all thought they were going in for a photo shoot with him! Danielle just got her first car, she doesn’t even have a license yet!

We now have Danielle Bradbery singing with one of her favorite country singers Hunter Hayes, they are performing “I Want Crazy”. They are epic together and they just rock this duet performance!

Michelle is bringing back all the Team Usher back, Josiah Hawley, Vedo and Cathia for a performance of Stevie Wonder’s version of “We Can Work It Out”! This is an awesome performance just because it’s the original members of Team Usher. Adam is singing along with them and every one in the crowd is up on their feet. Michelle better win this! I absolutely lover her as a performer!

The final confession is the final three talking about what would winning The Voice season 4 would mean to them and their coaches. This is probably the most emotional part of the show tonight just because up until now, I’m sure that it hasn’t really sunk in that they have made it this far.

Finally we have Cher on stage with her new single “Woman’s World”! I have been waiting for this performance all night, she is absolutely amazing! Love her!

It’s the moment of truth, who won The Voice season 4??? We are about to find out right now!!!

We seemed to focus on more of the singing talent last week on AGT Season 8, as some great singers took the stage and moved on to Las Vegas, including Jonathan Allen, Paul Thomas Mitchell and Travis Pratt. We were also treated to an amazing magic trick from Collins Key, so it looks like AGT 2013 is bringing us some young talent this season, which could be a good thing.

Tonight that could change, as one of the previews for tonight’s auditions on America’s Got Talent 2013 showed an elderly gentleman lifting some major weights. Good for him! Watch with us in our Live Recap that follows!

WARNING: AMERICA’S GOT TALENT 2013 SPOILERS AHEAD!

We start with a look back at some of the highlights of the auditions from the first two weeks and what can we expect still to come! The judges are in their seats and now we can get to the auditions!

Up first is Omega Force Strength Team and they have the world’s oldest weightlifter, who is 75 years old! They are entertaining and the old man does his thing with the weights. Howard Stern said they are inspirational. Mel B said they are entertaining and definitely a family show and this is what they did. It didn’t do it for Howie Mandel, so he is a no. The other judges are all a yes, so they are going to Vegas!

The crazy strength acts continue, as Team Rock takes the stage and does some tae kwon do and Howard loved it and they are going to Vegas. They did some amazing tricks and were entertaining!

Now we get to see the cutest little girl take the stage, as five-year-old Darby takes the stage with her coach and he flings her all around and she does some amazing tricks for a little girl. The judges love her and four yeses for her!

Time for the dance portion of America’s Got Talent 2013, as Kenichi Ebina takes the stage and he has a dance-ish performance. He started out doing the running man and that’s where he discovered his love for dancing. He does some amazing moves and how he can move his body like that is amazing! The audience is loving him and the judges give him a standing ovation! Mel B said that was off the chain. Howard said it was The Matrix movie all in 90 seconds. Needless to say, the judges all say yes! Howard said he is the best dancer they have seen this season!

Kenichi Ebina, 38 ~ AGT 2013 Chicago Auditions by HumanSlinky

We have an emotional audition, as Deanna DellaCioppa takes the stage. She has been told her whole life that she needs to lose weight to make it in the business. She has lacked the confidence and now at 39 years old she feels this is her last chance. She comes out and gives me chills! This is Jennifer Hudson ground she is stepping on and holding herself strong. Such a great audition! Howie said she has a great sound and heart and that song is going to change her life. Four yes votes and she is going to Vegas!

Deanna DellaCioppa, 39 ~ AGT 2013 Chicago Auditions by HumanSlinky

We have now entered the weird science portion of the auditions and up first is Sprice, who builds a machine that I don’t even know what it is. He builds these things that are a chain reaction to make it all tumble down. He has been working on it for the past three days in the lobby. They head out there and Nick Cannon gets things started with the first domino. This is beyond awesome, as the whole contraption goes down and he is a genius. Howard said he loves it and congratulations on that working out. Mel B found it very unique and creative. The judges want to see more and he is going to Vegas on America’s Got Talent 2013!

Sprice, 19 ~ AGT 2013 Chicago Auditions by HumanSlinky

Rong Niu was originally from China, but now living in San Francisco. She comes off as a goofy lady, but she is going to attempt to fling some bowls around and catch them on her head while riding a unicycle! She gets on her TALL unicycle and Nick brings out the bowls and here we go. She starts with one and then moves it up to three and gets it. Mel B is afraid she is going to fall and break her neck and so am I!!!! She moves it to five bowls and nails it! Mel B said she was amazing. Howie said that was the most amazing, no way that can happen and thanks her for being there. Howard said she is fearless and the best thing he has seen in Chicago. They definitely want to see more from her, so she is going to Vegas!

The day is coming to an end and the last act of the day is The American Military Spouses Choir, who is a singing group af Army wives and they call themselves a sisterhood. They provide support for each other and depend on each other. They say they have to come together or they wouldn’t survive. It truly puts the life of an Army wife in perspective. Their story is so good and their performance is pretty good. They make you want to like them and the services they provide to soldiers. Standing ovation from the crowd and judges! Howie said he was just overjoyed to sit there and listen to them. Heidi loved it and wants them to go on and sing more. Howard said they remind him of how lucky we are to live in this country. The judges loved them and they are headed to Vegas!

Last week we had to say goodbye to some of our favorites who did not make it past Vegas week onto the “Green Mile”. Who will be left after the Top 20 are revealed for SYTYCD Season 10? After they are announced, the contestants will get to perform, free of any judgement, so the nation can get to know each of the dancer’s and their unique talents. This will help as the season continues to determine who should go and who should ultimately win SYTYCD 2013.

Thousands of dancers auditioned to get us to our Top 20 So You Think You Can Dance 2013 contestants which are revealed in front of the studio audience in Hollywood tonight. Joining Lythgoe and Murphy at the judges table is Adam Shankman. First to find out his fate, is “Fik-Shun“, who has been a fan favorite from the beginning, who made it into the Top 20.

Martin Shields who had made it to the Green Mile on a previous season, was extremely nervous to find out his fate. He unfortunately did not make it on to be a part of the Top 20. Amelio, however did. The last hip-hop dancer to find out if she would make it through was Mariah, who was the first female to join the Top 20. These three would have been the only three hip-hop dancers this season, but Amelio had to withdraw from the competition after becoming injured shortly after finding out he had made it through.

“Fik-Shun” and Mariah performed the first group dance of the evening and definitely brought the attitude and personality to the stage. The judges loved their performance. Lythgoe and Murphy both did critique “Fik-Shun” a bit more telling him that he will need to step it up a bit and that he can’t always rely on just his personality. However, they all still loved him. Mariah got nothing but praise from the judges for her performance.

Next, we find out which contemporary dancers make it into the Top 20. First to find out is Mackenzie, who is the second female of the night to make it to the Top 20. Joining her will be Jasmine Harper. Ryan Johnson was the first male contemporary dancer to go before the judges, and he unfortunately did not make it on. Tucker and Nico went before the judges together, and after both receiving praise from the judges, they made it through. They will round out the first four contemporary dancers for this season and took the stage together for their performance, where the judges were impressed by their connectedness.

Our tap dancers were the next group to find out their fate. Alexis, who is the only female tapper, made her way back to the judges and after tWitch went on about her competition to draw out the suspense and make her nervous, but he finally announces that she made it through. Curtis, who had an emotional moment during Vegas week, will be joining her in the Top 20. Aaron was the last tapper to make it back, and had a feeling of deja vu after making it to this exact same point last year before getting sent home. Aaron’s luck hadn’t turned around because he was sent home again, but not before Murphy tells him that he needs to come back next year. However, things changed for him when Amelio had to drop out of the competition, and Aaron, who was ranked 11th of the guys, was able to squeeze into the Top 20.

This season gave us two animators who were talented enough to make it through Vegas, Jade and Blueprint. Will one or both be able to make it into the Top 20? The two dancers went back before the judges together to find out who would make it on. The judges surprised us all by sending both into the Top 20. If their performance together tonight is indication, we can see many great things from these two in SYTYCD Season 10.

In the second half of the episode, we find out if any of the remaining contemporary dancers made it into the Top 20. Carlos was the first to go in front of the judges, and to find out that he will be moving forward in the competition. The next contestant to find out was Haley, who had to face down nerves leading into Vegas week. She will be joining the rest of the contemporary dancers in the Top 20. Waiting to find out was Malese Miller who dealt with not only a tumultuous childhood, but also being dropped on her head in Vegas. Despite a shaky ending to Vegas week, she also made it into the Top 20.

The ballroom dancers were the next to find out. Brittany and Serg, who had auditioned together in LA, were the first to stand in front of the judges. The duo will be split up as Brittany made it to the Top 20, and Serg did not. Jenna Johnson followed her sisters’ footsteps in making it to the Green Mile, and hoped that she could take it a step forward than they did. She will be joining Brittany in the Top 20. Rounding out the ballroom dancers will be Alan and Paul.

Coming back from the commercial break, we are shown the six girls waiting to find out who will take the last two spots in the Top 20. The first girl to face the judges is Amy, who had wowed the judges from the very beginning. She easily moved on to take one of the remaining spots. Taking the last spot in SYTYCD 2013 is Jasmine. The two final girls rounding out the Top 20, give a very dramatic and strong performance reminding the judges why they made it as far as they did.

Now that we finally know who are Top 20 contestants are this season, we get to see them really perform. First up, the Top 10 boys take the stage to perform with sand. In this performance, you get to see not only the amazing visual effects of using the sand, but also it manages to showcase many different styles of dance to let them all shine in their own way. Christopher Scott really knew what he was doing when he choreographed that piece.

The Top 10 girls were next, and really needed to bring their A-Game if they were going to complete with the boys. Choreographer Ray Leeper was in charge of creating the Top 10 girls’  dance. Despite the challenge of so many different types of dancers in the group, Leeper did a great job of creating a dance that was fun and energetic, while still showing off the skills that SYTYCD Season 10 girls’ have.

The final performance of the night brings all Top 20 contestants together on one stage to perform a Sonya Tayeh routine. The dancers were interviewed describing the routine as “super hard and super physical.” The performance definitely pushed the dancers, and had so many different elements to it that really showed off the variety of talent that is a part of So You Think You Can Dance 2013.

Ben Nichols in Round One of “The Winner Is”

The job of a game show host isn’t easy.  Unlike most talent competition shows where the judges personalities are as much a part of the drama as the contestants,  a game show host is a strange cross between needing to be likable and bland at the same time.  While The Voice incorporated both elements by having the coaches, plus Carson Daly, The Winner Is works strictly like a game show – only the game is singing.  Nick Lachey is doing well as a host.  Maybe he’s the next  Pat Sajak.

The first contestants are Jesse Pringle and the Newman Twins.  The twins are cute and probably in their late twenties. They tell a typical twins story about doing everything together – including their jobs as waitresses.   Jess is a married with a kid and was laid off his job as a forklift operator.  He wants to be able to take care of his family.   At least it’s not about saving dying relatives – the violin factor on this show is something I could do with less of.

The twins sing “Rolling On The River.”  It’s not that they aren’t good, they are, but they’re entire performance is circa 1973. This is them.

See what I mean? An updated musical style and wardrobe would help them a lot.

Thus, when Jesse does the  Justin Bieber song,  ”As Long As You Love Me” with a more rock-type flair,  I was confident the twins were going home. This is Jesse:

The two performances are like the difference between a good karaoke bar performance and someone who’s a pro (even though he’s not).  The vote from the 101 is seventy to thirty-one.

Oh, look, it’s the  commercial break.  I mention this because after the break they recap everything that happened to where it left off.  It’s annoying, and they do it after every commercial.  I guess there isn’t really enough material to make this an hour show.  I mean think about it, how many game shows are an hour?   They would be better off giving the performers a bit more time to sing.

Anyway, neither Jesse nor the twins go for the ten thousand dollars, and then the twins are gone.

Next up is 40 year old Gina Wagner, who wants the money so that her near seventy-year old father can be taken care of and not work.  She’s also always wanted to be a country singer, but got gave up that dream for a regular nine to five job to pay the bills.  It strikes me that this is going to be a theme on this show.   I wonder if asked to choose between a record contract and the straight up million dollars, what people’s answers would be?  For instance if you want to be able to take care of your dad, a record contract – where the money is put more into the product and requires a lot of work afterwards – may not be what you want.  Even if you did once dream of being a singer.

She competes against Ben Nichols.  Ben wants to move his minister grandparents from out of their neighborhood and build them a new church in a nicer area.  He’s all teen-age swagger, despite being 21, and talks about his lucky red basketball shorts.  Sometimes these stories seem really forced…  Gina goes first and does a straight up country song – “I Want To Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheart” complete with yodeling.   It’s fine, but I’m a bit burnt out on country, so I can’t really judge.

The kid is more interesting to me, although his performance needs polishing.  He’s a definite candidate for American Idol, but  this is just a question of the better performance.  Neither performance totally impresses me.  Gina’s was more together – but I enjoyed Ben more.  Turns out to be a non-issue  because Ben cashes out.  Smart move,  because the 101 picked Gina – seventy-three to twenty-eight.

The last of the first round pairings are Legacy and Leah Grace.  Leah Grace catches my attention immediately as she talks about her strategy for winning the round.  She’s the first person to think in terms of winning the round, not the whole thing.  Smart move.  Oh, by the way, Leah Grace is ten and looks like Drew Barrymore in ET.  Clearly, the youth of today are smarter and more savvy than the adults.  First there was Ben, who assesses the situation and has no problem admitting he was probably beaten and takes the money.  There have been a few duels where it was painfully obvious, but the person couldn’t or wouldn’t admit it.  Now there’s Leah Grace who’s just focusing on the next step in front of her.  Of course, at ten, the concept of a million dollars probably doesn’t register in the same way as it does for adults.  She’s not looking to change her life, she just wants to be seen and heard. .

Legacy is a Asian R&B group.  Their hook is being Asian, because they love R&B and there aren’t any groups that showcase that.  They’ve dressed up in suits like an old Motown music group, but they’re doing “No One” by Alicia Keys - so even though they sound fine, there’s a disconnect in their stage presence.  They don’t really excite the crowd and there are dozens of groups that can do good group harmony.   Leah Grace is a charmer and can actually sing.  She does the classic tune “Who’s Loving You.”   She has a big voice , good control and range.  The crowd loves her, so I’m not surprised that she wins.  Legacy, just a note, never compete against a cute talented kid.  They will upstage your being Asian every time.

What happens next is interesting.  Gina and Leah Grace are tied for the fast track spot.  They both got seventy-three percent  of the 101′s vote, so now the 101 have to vote to decide who will get fast-tracked.  It’s a closer race, forty-two vs fifty-nine, but they choose Leah Grace.  I think some of it was just factoring in that she’s a kid and not wanting her to have to perform three times in the same night.

For round two Jesse does “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars.  He’s really good!  Gina then does the Bonnie Raitt classic, “Total Eclipse of the Heart” – which is a killer song – and she kills it!  I note that Gina is aware of how much time she has to sing and does a strong ending, while Jesse seemed to have run out of time, but really, they are both excellent.  The 101 reflect how good both were: the vote is 52-49 – which is the closest vote I’ve seen in either episode.  It actually gives me a bit of relief that a vote is close.  There hasn’t been a close vote before which just looks suspicious.

It looks like Jesse is tempted to take the money – it’s twenty-five thousand dollars.  He was a forklift operator who lost his job, twenty-five thousand dollars is probably half a year’s salary and he’s out of work.  He doesn’t though….  I wish he had because the 101 chose Gina.  It’s one of the few moments I feel badly for the loser because not only was he good, but twenty-five thousand dollars would have been a big help in his life.  It makes me think about agendas and strategies again.  If twenty-five thousand would fix your immediate situation, would you take the money and run, or go for more?  With most of these duels, the person’s stakes have been really high – so that the smaller amounts of money wouldn’t make a dent – or they don’t really have anything to lose.  Jesse’s the first person where I really wish he’d taken the money.  Oh well, maybe we’ll see him again on The Voice.

It’s time for the final round: Leah Grace against Gina Wagner.  Leah Grace does Lady Gaga – “Born This Way” and rocks it! Seriously!  I see a Disney or Nickelodeon show it this kid’s future.  She’s just too cute!  Take a look!
Gina does “These Boots Are Made for Walking” by Nancy Sinatra.  Again, she does a good job.  The vote is a big split – twenty to eighty-one.  This time, before they decide what to do, each check in with their support.  Gina’s dad says he thinks Gina won, but that Leah Grace is the crowd favorite.  Leah Grace’s parents tell her it’s her choice and whatever happens is fine.   So Leah Grace says, “I got this” – her catch phrase, and Gina, thinking about her dad’s words, takes the fifty thousand dollars.

Oh, but Gina shouldn’t have!  The 101 picked her!  That really strikes me as a lesson.  Ever wonder how talented people end up not pursuing their dreams.  Gina’s dad thought she’d won, but didn’t want her to risk the money.  Gina played it safe – even if she did think she was better.  Gina introduced herself as always wanting to a singer, but taking a desk job to pay the bills – like most people.  Here, she makes that same choice again – with the voice of her dad in her ear.

It wouldn’t have been as devastating to not take the money and lose – the way it was for Jesse.  To me, the risk factor was much lower.  Still, fifty thousand dollars is enough to start a small retirement fund for her dad.  Maybe that’s enough for her – especially since she was the actually choice.  It’s nice to know people thought you were good enough.  Maybe now she’ll pursue her music more.

I wish Gina good luck, but since I actually want to see more of Leah Grace,  I’m glad she’s still in.  Unfortunately, I won’t be able to see more her until  The Winner Is returns on July 11th at 9pm – that’s a Thursday.  Will you be tuning back in?  Let me know in the comments!

In the video, Julie Chen shows the new design of the Big Brother 15 house. Some of the highlights from the new design includes an all black and white Head of House room. Chen credits the color scheme with the fact that, that’s how the HOH must live in the house. They are either in or out.

The entire Big Brother 15 house has a 60s design aesthetic, which Chen says is to inspire the housemates to be their own architects to how they play the game.  The new design nicely correlates with the overall theme of Big Brother, and Julie Chen gives great explanations as to why certain elements of the new house fits with the show. How can you watch the sneak peek of the new BB15 house and not want to see it 24/7 with the Live Feeds discount being offered right now???

Two of the major changes with Big Brother 15 is that there will be no nomination chairs and the house will include sixteen people. As Julie teases, the reason there will be no nomination chairs is because America’s role in  Big Brother this season will affect the nominations.  If we are speculating, our guess is that America may be the ones picking the nominations each week. However, the only problem with this theory is that it eliminates all power from the HOH. Another theory is that the HOH still gets to nominate, but when the veto happens, America can pick the replacement nominee. A rumored theory is there will be three nominees each week, two chosen by the HOH and one by America. 

The final major teaser from Julie is that a familiar face will be one of the sixteen housemates, but it’s not what we think. Last season on Big Brother, fans were not too happy about returning houseguests, so we highly doubt that, that’s the familiar face she means. Could she mean that one of the Big Brother 15 faces is  someone famous? Or could it be someone from another reality show coming to play in the Big Brother 15 house?

Bruno Mars is also set to grace us with his presence with a performance of “Treasure” and a bizarre duet between the country group Florida Georgia Line and Nelly with their newest single “Cruise”. Another set of performances I am really looking forward to would have to be the Hunter Hayes with “I Want Crazy” and One Republic with “Counting Stars.”

I’m not going to lie, One Republic has grown on me over the past year and I love Hunter Hayes so these performances are top on my favorites list! I am going to assume that the top 3 on The Voice season 4 will have the chance to perform with these artists, but NBC is doing a great job at not leaking that information just yet, I can’t wait to find out! With routine after routine after routine to learn during Vegas Week, the dancers were a little tired and it showed last week on SYTYCD 2013. You can’t blame them though, because these judges and choreographers put them through hell! Their bodies are put to the test, but they have to perform if they want to move on.

We don’t see any singers in the preview below, which is a change from who took the stage last week on AGT 2013! One of the standouts of last week was Paul Thomas Mitchell, who came out and performed an original song and rocked the place. He may be the frontrunner in a season with some hits and misses so far. Who has been your favorites during the America’s Got Talent 2013 auditions so far?

It looks like we are going to see some old weightlifters, some magic, gymnastics and some wild dancing tonight on America’s Got Talent 8.
