Gospel is about the what being sung and the style a song is sung in, not it's origins. The Grammy Awards have NINE different styles of gospel music that they recognize: gospel, soul gospel, pop gospel, R&B gospel, Traditional gospel, Rock gospel, Contemporary Soul, Contemporary R&B, Contemporary Christian... Yolanda Adams does a version of How Great Thou Art, as does the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. For more on genres and the history of gospel music, a basic discussion and breakdown can be found on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_music

For what it's worth,I think Blake made a smart song choice. It very well may have been enough of a breakout to keep Holly from going home, which she was poised to do coming into this week's competition. God and country music go together. She's probably going to pull a good number of votes in.

#3 --Beckett's, 'I agree' may mean that she believes he deserves more and she does too. If we factor in her question of how many years should a person sacrifice for someone else's future. She at that point probably thought he was giving up on the relationship and agreed that he shouldn't be asked to sacrifice his future for her.
#2 -- When talking to Alexis maybe he had given the situation some serious thought after talking to Martha and he seemed resigned to the fact that he wanted Beckett whatever the circumstances might include. Martha talk made him look beyond what he wanted and consider Beckett for what she is and what she wanted.
#1 -- Castle's mood probably involved relief. I do not think he was mad but was experiencing deep feelings (something new for him). He truly loves Kate. I think it took him years because he feared Beckett's love was not as deep as his. Remember Martha asked him if deep down he was afraid the relationship would not work and maybe he was ready to run. Before the Martha insight he feared he had lost her. He was frustrated. He had no answers because he knew she was strongly interested in this job opportunity. Something that big in her life and she had not included him in on the decision making process. That, and she may also be leaving. At this point he is secretly questioning her love and her commitment. But he loves her enough to take what he can get rather than a life without her.
At this point I don't know where Kate stands. Too much is up for speculation. She loves 'her home' ( i.e. Station #12); her family (i.e. Expo,Ryan, Lanie, Gates etc.) and she loves Castle. But she really expressed strong feelings for that job

you are so right. I am an avid reader and I have found it funny right along as many fans get angry because Beckett or Castle do this or that and they never consider that we are seeing the whole story play out, while C&B only get less then half of what is going on. they say they care about each other to others, Lainey, Martha etc. but seldom to each other. This is such a well written tv show that it is interesting how very close we have to follow all the goings on to be able to see why the two leads still don't communicate to each other as completely as they do to the rest of those around them.

No. You're not being stupid, not at all. Everyone is going to have different thoughts about things - it doesn't me the person is stupid. :) In general the television audience has been conditioned to think that something horrible will happen to a TV relationship that's going well. Marlowe doesn't fit our experience. Personally, I'm 100% sure it's going to be good. It doesn't mean that I'm right - it's my prediction, based on the story evidence, what Marlowe has said in the past, the kind of research he's done on the Moonlighting curse, and his comments leading up to the finale.

I know some people prefer to think the worse and be pleasantly surprised when they're wrong. I myself don't think it's worth expending that kind of energy - especially, when the actual evidence doesn't point in a negative direction. Now, if this was a different show like say, Scandal , I have no problem making predictions that aren't going to make people happy. My job is to do the analysis and call it like I see it. I don't see any evidence in the story of Castle season six being about a breakup or having Richard Castle sulking around. I put out the opinion and the logic - the rest is up to how readers want to take what I write. :)

Vince...here's another perspective (Beckett's). Remember, we've gotten to see a lot more of Castle's feelings for her than what he actually showed her. As Martha said, and he also actually said, he did a lot of waiting - never declaring until her shooting forced his hand.

Season 1 - she meets this cute but arrogant man with a reputation as a playboy, which, by his behavior seems accurate as he's signing women's chests and hits on her immediately. Hot, but come on, what an ass! Still sleeps with ex-wife whenever she's in town. calls her a "Deep Fried Twinkie." Just, no.

Season two: The guy is starting to grow on her, She meets his former ex, whom seems like a really nice, normal girl, and allows herself to open up more to him. She starts to think maybe it the playboy thing was just a phase...especially after saving her when her apartment blows up. However, right after that, he goes and sleeps with that actress trying to get a part in his movie! Ummm....yeah. Best to stick with the normal everyday kind of guy like Demming. Javier seems to think Castle has a thing for her - more than just a quick role in the hay. That would be...amazing. There are things, times, where she really, really thinks...she could love him.... She decides to give it a shot, but obviously Javier was wrong. He's already moved on to his second ex-wife.

Season three - He didn't call all summer, but has the nerve to want to come back and work with her again! The think is, she still...likes him - but he's still with Gina and really, what's the point of being with a guy who has such a short attention span. That doesn't mean they can't be friends and work together. Then she meets Dr. Motorcycle man. Whoa, a really nice and ATTRACTIVE guy! He's a doctor and donates time to doctor's without borders - how selfless, how noble...and he's REALLY hot. He's not Castle though...but after the last time she let herself go there...better keep it safe...OMG that kiss! Josh is never around...Castle's there, was there the night Roy died, really, really there, and BOOM shot by a sniper and nearly dies...the last thing she hears before losing consciousness is that Castle loves her...

Season four: Wakes up after nearly dying, DYING! She's in pain, she having nightmares - she can't DEAL with anything else right now. Not Castle, and Not Josh either, dumps him. What the hell is wrong with her, anyway? Why can't it just be simple - he says he loves her why can't she just open to that. The mandatory therapy makes her realize it's her mom. This thing with her mom has her blocked. If she can just solve it and have it be done....and pretend this PTSD thing isn't going on...but she can't. Not if she wants a relationship with Castle. Sends herself BACK to therapy. Hopes Castle will wait for her, but the therapist is right, she's got to get better first. Therapy, shows her the PTSD isn't just the shooting, it's her mom's murder also...she wants to let it go, to be more than who she is, but isn't sure how. Therapist says he can help her with this. Always she nearly dies AGAIN. This time, with a year of therapy under her belt, she can't brush aside that Castle's all she could think about, all that matters - even more than her mom's murder....

Season five, she and Castle are dating. It's the first time she's been in a relationship this long, first time she's allowed herself to imagine a life beyond solving her mom's murder - which is why she became a detective in the first place. Castle loves her, but he never wants to talk long-term...she wants long-term, but what if he doesn't? Job offer comes in, an amazing one. It's an opportunity to do what she's come to love to do on a much larger scale. But...if she thought, if she knew Castle was thinking long-term she wouldn't even think of moving to D.C....life five years from now... Her biggest fantasy is married to Castle and they're raising their son or daughter...but she doesn't know if he wants that. Well, until his marriage proposal.

I don't BLAME either of them - other than the fact that communication and vulnerability have not be either's strong suit. LOL! Each of them only have HALF the story. As viewers we get all the information which creates a different picture of what's going on. However, neither character should be expected to react based on the picture we have, it can only be based on the info that character has.

I will even go as far as to suggest he probably asked Ivanka and Joan to pick Trace when he asked them their opinion. I am actually surprised Trump brought up the disrespect from the previous season in which Penn competed. I say this because that gives everyone a reason to suspect this was the reason Penn did not win. They also mentioned that Trace had competed 3 times ... that's when I started thinking, "Oh no -- don't give it to Trace because he's been on 3 times and hasn't won!!" Penn clearly won the last challenge and that's what it is supposed to be about. The ice cream produced more sales, the video ad was a CLEAR winner over Trace's silly ad with Gary dancing, and the party Penn threw was better. Penn's creativity far outweighed Trace's over the entire season and his work ethic was beyond reproach. I think it is a travesty that Trace won.
