American Idol 2012 is down to its last three contestants, so the audience was gifted with cheesy footage of hometown visits and knockout performances during Wednesday’s semifinals round. The American Idol 2012 top 3, Philip Philips, Joshua Ledet, and Jessica Sanchez all had stellar moments in their performances this week, but only two can move forward to the finale next week.

Making American Idol 2012 predictions for the elimination results show Thursday night is especially difficult this week, but Wednesday night’s performances will set in motion who will take home the idol crown in the American Idol 2012 finale. The person who does the best during this round usually wins.

This was a big night for the final 3 and figuring out who got voted off this week on American Idol 2012 will not be an easy task.  Still, we can’t help but reflect on our American Idol 2012 predictions for the elimination results show this week and hope you’ll share yours with us!

Going into Wednesday’s performances, three key things would determine who will probably win the night and who will be eliminated in the American Idol results show this week:

Who got the pimp final spot?

What was the standout performance?

And who made you cry the most as you watch their journey home?

The Performances

The American Idol 2012 top 3 were given, by the judges, lesser known songs to start the show. They all sang on pitch and poured their heart into the performances, but the round one winner is Philip Phillip Phillips with “Beggin” by Madcon (although The Voice UK contestants Max Milner and Bill Downs performed it better in their battle round).  Philip Phillips, who is the weakest vocally, stood out the most because he gave the best performance of the night.  It is clear they can all sing, but at this stage it comes down to who can perform best.

In the second round, which featured songs chosen by the contestants, Joshua Ledet was the winner singing “Imagine” by John Lennon. Jessica Sanchez’s vocals were really good, but her final notes were shaky. Joshua Ledet picking a legendary emotional song like “Imagine” gave him the tear-jerker factor.  Philip Phillips’ performance in this round was completely underwhelming and he got one of the few negative criticisms EVER by Jennifer Lopez on American Idol 2012.

And the most important round, the final one, featuring songs chosen by Jimmy Iovine, goes to….

Philip Phillips with “We’ve Got Tonight”, but was anything else really expected? The whole night the stage was set for a big Philip Phillips moment, and any American Idol 2012 addict knows how to see when they’re going to be manipulated into rooting for “the underdog.”

Idol-Analyzing

The splashes of the American Idol 2012 top 3 home visits, per usual, made the audience go “aww” and maybe shed tears. Unlike previous years, this year there was no sense of triumph as the idols returned home. The contestants were equal on the heart tug factor. Philip Phillips got the slight edge for his moment with his father, and continuously breaking down crying. The other two held their composure more.

When did the American Idol 2012 executive producers become so team Philip? Was it when he managed to repeatedly escape the bottom over clearly better vocalist? Or maybe his Southern twang also made the producers melt like it does Ryan Seacrest’s girlfriend?

Did anyone else kind of miss that Ryan did not mention Julianne Hough on this episode? It was kind of adorable him using his show to pimp her career.

Also, can the American Idol 2012 judges broaden their vocab? How many times can Steven Tyler use “over the top” to describe Joshua’s performances?

Who Will Be The Champion?

For the American Idol 2012 predictions for the elimination results show this week, here is the breakdown.

By giving Philip Phillips the pimp spot, and showing his emotional moment with his dad, it is likely he will win the whole thing.

Based on Joshua’s talent, he deserves to win the most, but he has not gained the support of the American public like the other two.

Jessica Sanchez being the only female gives her some female votes that Philip has not won yet.

If Twitter’s trending topics are Magic 8 Balls into the future then, the final two is going to be Jessica Sanchez and Philip Phillips.

So will this season just be a repeat of the last four and the guy with the most heart-throb appeal taking the whole thing home? Does Joshua Ledet even stand a chance? Does Jessica Sanchez?  We’ll see tomorrow, I can only hope that talent outweighs hormonal girls.

On Dancing With the Stars 2012 Tuesday night, the remaining DWTS 2012 cast celebrities will be cut down to the finale three. The scores between the top 4 are so tight, and the performances last night so good, it is extremely difficult to make a Dancing With the Stars 2012 prediction about who will be eliminated this week.

All of the DWTS 2012 top 4 contestants have proven they have the chops on the dance floor to deserve being in the finale. However, only 3 can move on to next week and that means someone has to go home on the Dancing With the Stars 2012 results show Tuesday night.

Making my Dancing With the Stars 2012 predictions about Tuesday night’s elimination results show was not easy this week. While last week it seemed an obvious choice for the voters to send home Roshon Fegan and Melissa Gilbert, this week there is no couple I find less deserving than the others of making it to the finale.

If we just went by who received the lowest scores on Dancing With the Stars last night, the couple leaving us in 4th place would be Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas. However, I think the only reason Katherine Jenkins placed 4th last night was because of that unfortunate back injury/spasm she had right at the end of her samba. If she’d manage to nail that ending without almost collapsing, she might not have ended up in the bottom with the judges scores. I think she might actually receive a bit of sympathy in the votes because of that too.

Honestly, overall I believe Katherine Jenkins should be destined to make the Dancing With the Stars 2012 finale, despite being ranked last this week. Unfortunately, I think her relative obscurity to American viewers could weigh against her in comparison to the other remaining female contestant, Maria Menounos. Still, I think that Katherine Jenkins will be saved by the voters this week. Actually, I think both women will probably end up moving on in my Dancing With the Stars predictions for this round.

So that leaves who is going home tonight down to the men: NFL player Donald Driver and Latin heart-throb William Levy. I really don’t want to have to say it quite this way, but I just don’t feel Donald Driver can compete with William Levy’s hot factor. Even if William Levy was not arguably the better dancer of the two, his fans just cannot stop drooling over him while they obsessively dial in their votes.

In the end, I have to make the call in my Dancing With the Stars 2012 predictions for the elimination results this week that it will be Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd going home. If I had a choice, I would probably personally choose to eliminate Maria Menounous instead as I just don’t appreciate her style quite as much, but I doubt the voters will agree with him.

In the first ten minutes of Sunday night’s The Celebrity Apprentice 2012 finale part one, Donald Trump will fire one of the last three remaining contestants. If you’ve watched the previews for the episode, they kind of seem to hint at who it will be who gets fired based on where people are seated and where Donald Trump is looking when he says who is fired and who is in the final two, but according to The Celebrity Apprentice 2012 spoilers we’ve heard, the hint is misleading.

According to the sources we’ve scouted out, The Celebrity Apprentice 2012 spoilers indicate that the person who will be fired in the first ten minutes of Sunday’s episode will be Aubrey O’Day — although the preview video above kind of hints it will be Clay Aiken. That will leave Clay Aiken and Arsenio Hall to duke it out in the final challenge (and my money is on Clay Aiken for the win if that is so).

In The Celebrity Apprentice spoilers on the final challenge, we hear that the final two competitors will have to face off in producing a “big show” with a fundraising component. The challenge will supposedly be titled the “Naughty and Nice Show.”

Clay Aiken will allegedly be on the “nice” side and do a carnival theme backed up on his team by Aubrey O’Day, Debbie Gibson, Penn Gillette and Dee Snider. His show benefit will reportedly have fundraising for the National Inclusion Project.

Arsenio Hall will allegedly be on the “naughty” side and will have Lisa Lampanelli, Adam Carolla, Teresa Guidice, and Paul Teutul, Sr. on his team. I just can’t wait to see what kind of drama and vileness will come out of Lisa Lampanelli’s mouth during the challenge. We do hear that Lisa Lampanelli allegedly betrays her own team and directly donates $10,000 of her own money to Clay Aiken’s fundraising effort. Ouch!

On the American Idol 2012 elimination results show Thursday night, we’ll finally find out who will make the top 3 and be only one step away from the American Idol 2012 finale. We have our American Idol predictions for the elimination results show this week for you. Read on to find who got voted off American Idol this week in our opinion, and share your predictions with us!

To start off our American Idol 2012 predictions for this week, let’s consider who is probably safe from elimination in this round. I’m going to place what I consider is a safe bet on Jessica Sanchez not being in the bottom two this week. Jessica Sanchez did well last night but was not as highly praised as Joshua Ledet, who seemed to have the judges about to faint yet again last night. Too much praise sometimes leads to voter backlash. With her track record, her performances last night and a legion of rabid fans who are still freaked out she almost got eliminated once, I don’t see Jessica Sanchez falling into the bottom this time around.

Speaking of Joshua Ledet, my American Idol prediction would be that he is also going to be safe this week but he could possibly wind up in the bottom two. Despite some possible viewer backlash directed against the judges’ alleged current favorite, I think his performances last night were very strong and his fans are almost as frenzied as those supporting Jessica Sanchez. Joshua’s fans want him in that American Idol 2012 finale and they are going to vote in droves this week to get him there. However, Joshua’s haters are also a strong group and they may vote for one of the other contestants they view is weaker just to force him into the bottom. Yes, people do that, they really do. I’d rather vote for the person I like than against a person I dislike, but that’s just me.

Next up we have Phillip Phillips, who I think in my American Idol 2012 predictions is right on the edge of either being safe or falling into the bottom two this week. One of his performances on American Idol last night was mediocre, but his duet was decent and his closing song was actually very well done. Phillip Phillips still has the tween vote, which could possibly push him above Joshua Ledet. However, he also has a lot of people, including the pundits over at VotefortheWorst.com, who think he is a hack.

Lastly we have Hollie Cavanagh, who has been in the bottom two so many times now it really isn’t even funny anymore. The girl has pipes, but she has the emotive quality of Janice Dickinson after a heavy Botox session. On American Idol 2012 last night, Hollie Cavanagh did have one good performance, but her duet with Jessica Sanchez fell flat and her second song was just an abject fail.

All things considered, my American Idol prediction this week is a combo of Phillip Phillips and Hollie Cavanagh in the bottom two, although I think it is possible Joshua Ledet may actually be the one down there with Hollie. Either way, I just cannot see Hollie escaping from the fate that has been hounding her all season long this week and I believe she will finally be sent packing.

UPDATE: American Idol 2012 Elimination Results: Top 5 Live Recap

On the American Idol 2012 elimination results show Thursday night, fans will finally find out who will make it into the top 4 on the way to the finals in just a few short weeks. Who will get voted off American Idol 2012 this week? Will it be someone easy to predict or will the voters surprise us again with a surprise elimination?

This week it is quite difficult to make an American Idol prediction for who will be sent home on the elimination results show. Even figuring out which two contestants will be safe from this round is a serious chore. In one way or another, all of the American Idol 2012 top 5 singers could be in danger.

Jessica Sancez — In my personal opinion, I think jessica Sanchez will be in the top two this week. However, there are some bloggers out there who are actually predicting she might be eliminated this week. Seriously, with the way the viewers have been voting this season, anything at all could happen.

Joshua Ledet — This is a tough one. My head tells me that Joshua Ledet should be safe on American Idol 2012 this week after really great performances last night and overwhelming praise from the judges. However, the voters have a tendency to get pissy when the judges show someone too much love — especially when some people think the judges are trying to keep Jessica safe by distracting the voters with pimping up Joshua. Even though I think Joshua could possibly suffer from voter backlash, I’m still going to call him safe this week and not in the bottom two.

Hollie Cavanagh — I keep expecting Hollie Cavanagh to go home week after week, but she keeps trucking along. Last night I actually really enjoyed her second performance and she’s had a rise in rank thanks to her rabid voters in recent weeks. I think Hollie might find herself in the bottom two this week, but amazingly enough, I don’t think she’ll get voted off American Idol 2012 quite yet.

Phillip Phillips — Although I kind of like his quiry persona, I admit that I am a bit bored with Phillip Phillips. I don’t think he has stretched his range enough and the past few weeks he just has not been picking the right songs. Even though he’s still the ‘cute boy’ of the competition, which often meant a pass to the final three in past seasons, I think the voters might be tired of him too.

So, my American Idol 2012 predictions for this week are: Hollie and Phillip in the final two, with Phillip going home.

On the American Idol 2012 elimination results show Thursday night, viewers will at last find out who will make the top 5. Who will get voted off American Idol 2012 this week? Well, we have our American Idol prediction for the elimination this week. Read on to find out who we think will get voted off and let us know which contestant you think will be getting sent home.

First up, let’s tackle who I think will be riding through with a safe card this week. The obvious choice for being totally safe without question is Jessica Sanchez. Despite almost being eliminated once, Jessica Sanchez is still considered a primary frontrunner for the American Idol 2012 finals.

Jessica Sanchez fans are not about to let her fall into the bottom two again after the judges had to leap onto the stage to save her in that oh so dramatic rescue scene two weeks ago. Plus, although her choice to do “Bohemian Rhapsody” last night was verging on insane, she had everyone wrapped around her pinky finger with that whole “Dance With My Father” sappy second song choice — and that is the one the voters will remember.

Also safe this week in my American Idol predictions is Phillip Phillips. Not to be implying anything, um, rude here, but Phillip Phillips is the last cute white boy on the show. He no longer has to compete for ‘I love cute white boy’ votes with Colton Dixon. Regardless of how he performed on American Idol 2012 last night, I think he’s got a pass from the voters for at least one more week.

Questionable for me this week in regard to the bottom three are Joshua Ledet, Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine. All three have had their taste of being in the bottom three and I think any of them could end up there again depending on the mood of the voters this week.

Hollie Cavanagh is especially difficult to make an American Idol 2012 prediction about this week. She has been in the bottom over and over, but the voters keep saving her. Plus, last night she had the ‘pimp’ spot of singing last, which almost always gives the singer a boost and the person who sings last is almost never eliminated the next day. Hollie could boost up to the top three, or she could find herself going home this week in the American Idol 2012 elimination results show. It’s a tough one to call! It would be kind of humorously ironic if she went home the night after singing “Save Me” but somehow I think she won’t.

The judges really do seem to be pimping for Joshua Ledet (sorry about the word choice, but really!) and this can both garner support from the voters and cause a negative backlash from them. So it is hard to tell if he’ll end up in the bottom three this week. His performances on American Idol last night really were very good though, so I really don’t see him going home no matter what.

With Skylar Laine, my American Idol predictions this week are that she might fall into the bottom two, but she will not be going home. Although she keeps riding near the bottom, Skylar Laine has that whole country niche thing going for her and her performances last night were quite good, especially the first one. Some are predicting that Skylar will be the one to go home this week, but I disagree.

That leaves us with the contestant I do think will be going home this week in my American Idol 2012 predictions for who will make the top 5, even though I hate that she will probably get sent packing by the voters — Elise Testone. Elise Testone is not a perfect singer or performer. What she is, however, is a pop/rock star in the making.

Else has the pipes, she just needs to work on the control. She has the passion, she just needs to channel it better. She has the ‘it’ factor, but has to work on the look to go with it. Elise has all the components to make it work, but she needs the right coaches, opportunities and record label for it to happen. I think the voters have trouble seeing the potential superstar buried under Elise’s rough edges and I think that is why they will be sending her home this week.

On the Dancing With the Stars 2012 elimination results show Tuesday night, the remaining DWTS 2012 cast celebrities will find out who will be going home this week after the nationwide vote is combined with the judges’ scores. Making a Dancing With the Stars 2012 prediction for elimination results night is always tricky, even when it seems like it should be obvious who will go home.

Will there be another surprise in the Dancing With the Stars elimination results this week or will this be the week the voters agree with the judges and send the lowest ranked couple packing?

Adding to the suspense for this week’s Dancing With the Stars 2012 elimination results is the rumor that there could possibly be a double elimination on Tuesday night. This is still just a rumor, but it is always fun to speculate in our Dancing With the Stars 2012 prediction what would happen if there are two couples going home in this round.

If I were just going to base my Dancing With the Stars elimination results prediction for Tuesday on the judges’ overall scores and the performances from Motown night his week, the answer should seem obvious about who will go home. The lowest ranked couple overall on the DWTS 2012 leaderboard is clearly Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus. Plus, their performance on Dancing With the Stars last night was one of the weakest by far.

However, there could be several wrenches thrown into the gears here. First of all, Dancing With the Stars 2012 last night was all about Motown and Gladys Knight could get a small boost from being in the spotlight from that. In addition, Roshon Fagen and Chelsie Hightower did not have a good score at all and they are proven to be unpopular with the voters. If Roshon and Gladys end up in the bottom two together for the Dance Dual dance-off, the judges might just decide to give Gladys a pass because of the theme this week.

In my opinion, however, they won’t. I think that despite her legendary status and it being Motown week, Gladys Knight will be the one who gets eliminated on Dancing With the Stars 2012 this week if there is a single elimination.

If there is a double elimination on Dancing With the Stars 2012 Tuesday night, I believe it will probably be Gladys Knight and Roshon Fagan, despite my preference that it should actually be Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy who get sent packing from DWTS 2012 before Roshon Fagan and Chelsie Hightower. For some reason though, Melissa Gilbert seems to be able to garner more fan support for herself to counteract the judges’ scores than Roshon can.
