The lavish circus of the Kim Kardashian wedding wasn’t the only celebrity marriage ceremony held this weekend. Country singer Chely Wright also got married on Saturday to longtime girlfriend Lauren Blitzer.

Chely Wright and Lauren Blitzer were married on Saturday at a country estate in Connecticut belonging to Blitzer’s aunt in a much smaller ceremony than Kim Kardashian’s enormous Hollywood affair. Same sex marriage has been legal in Connecticut since 2008.

About 200 guests were in attendence and both ladies wore white gowns from designer Jose Dias. Neither wore veils because, as Wright told People jokingly, “we like our hair too much.” Blitzer posted a photo of the two lovely brides on her Twitter feed.

The “Single White Female” singer came out publicly as a lesbian in May of 2010. Her public admission she was gay resulted in death threats and Wright admitted she had suicidal thoughts while going through the coming out process.

Wright, 40, and Blitzer, 30, became engaged in April. Wright met Blitzter, a GLBT activist, just two weeks after coming out. The wedding ceremony was held by both a rabbi and a minister to cover both women’s religious beliefs.

Finalist Paul McDonald may have lost on the top spot on American Idol, but what he took home from the show is better than any reality show title — true love! McDonald and Twilight star Nikki Reed, whom he was lucky to meet during an American Idol excursion, are reportedly engaged to be married only a few months after they started dating!

Rumors the couple were engaged reached a flash point at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards when Nikki Reed was seen wearing what looked suspiciously like an engagement ring. When questioned by E! News, Reed was so excited about her new love that she repeated herself, saying: “He’s the one. He’s the one.”

E! News reports that Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are indeed engaged, according to an unidentified source. Reed says her new fiancé has been writing a slew of songs about her and says “he’s going to release a Nikki Reed EP.”

Reed told People in May that she didn’t care how people perceived her whirlwind romance with McDonald. “I’ve never met anyone who has such a good solid heart and comes from such a good solid family and is just a genuine person,” Reed said. “We have the exact same sense of humor. I’ve never laughed so much with anyone as I do with him.”

Former NFL star Plaxico Burress has finally been released from jail, but it still may be a while before he finds out if anyone wants him back on the football field. Burress pleaded guilty to firearms charges after accidently shooting himself in the leg with an illegal gun at a nightclub in 2009. He served 22 months in prison as part of his plea agreement with prosecutors

After his release, Burress told reporters the first thing he wanted to do was “be reunited with my family. I want to go home and spend some quality time with them.” He also thanked his fans around the world “for their unwavering support.”

Returning to the NFL, however, is something Burress will be thinking about. “If and when everything gets settled, when they get back on the field, I’ll be ready,” Burress said.

“To miss two NFL seasons in the prime of your career, to not be with your family, most importantly, to lose out on millions and millions of dollars – these are things that have forced him certainly to evaluate his life,” Burress’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said in a press statement.

Still, even after missing two seasons and with his criminal record, Rosenhaus expects Jacobs will have “multiple teams interested in signing him.” Rosenhaus said he absolutely expects Jacobs to be playing for some NFL team soon — even his old tea, the New York Giants. “I wouldn’t rule out the Giants, I wouldn’t rule out any club,” Rosenhaus said.

Reese Witherspoon,  well-known for her Legally Blonde movies, became ’legally married’ this past weekend. Reese tied the knot with Jim Toth. The wedding was a private, 20-minute ceremony at Reese’s ranch in Ojai, CA on Saturday. Hollywood’s Elite were on hand to celebrate the joining of these two lives.

The 35-year-old actress included her son and daughter in her ceremony. Her two kids from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillipe are 11-year old Ava and  7-year old Deacon. Reese’s wedding gown was designed by Monique Lhuillier. The wedding was a private, 20-minute ceremony at Reese’s ranch in Ojai, CA this past Saturday. Guests visited while attending the pre-wedding cocktail party.

Hollywood faces in attendance included Alyssa Milano, Tobey Maguire, Robert Downey Jr. and Renee Zellweger. Most likely the second most talked about couple at the wedding were Scarlett Johansson and her date, Sean Penn.  Scarlett is Jim’s client, but no one knew she was arriving with Sean Penn, not even Reese Witherspoon. The couple’s entrance was the second biggest occurrence of the day.

A friend of Scarlett’s reports: “Turning up at a wedding with your boyfriend is definitely a huge statement, especially that wedding. What it’s doing is announcing to the whole of Hollywood that they are serious.  Scarlett is head over heels in love with Sean. She normally tries to hide away from public attention, but when she’s with Sean she doesn’t care.”

 Sean, 50, and Scarlett, 26, have been spotted out and about various times before Reese’s wedding. The first spotting was earlier this year, while attending a party in Los Angeles that celebrated Black Swan. Another time, the two were spotted having a meal, and most recently, earlier this month, the two took a daylong trip to Mexico.

What is in store for the now seemingly committed pair? Rumors are flying that the “S-Squared” are planning an upcoming trip to Haiti.

As for Reese and Jim, the two left her kids with the nanny, and headed off for their honeymoon.

It has absolutely been Charlie Sheen‘s year. The tweets, articles and news interviews began around February and not a week goes by that there isn’t some new story about Charlie Sheen and his crazy life. While the most interesting topics may have been sucked dry, no worries. Charlie will continue to find the most petty things to argue and complain about.

Case in point…. Charlie and ex-wife Denise Richards had two dogs together when they were a couple. Upon divorcing the self-proclaimed ‘warlock’, Denise left the two pugs in his care. She did so for her girls, so they could play with the pugs while at Charlie’s house. Things were fine, and there was no complaints about this arrangement.

According to Denise, she was informed by several people that the dogs were not being properly cared for, and were both very malnourished. This was during the time of the hotel room break-down earlier this year. Denise went to Charlie, and asked for the dogs back, and he gave them to her. Sadly, one was not able to be nursed back to health and died a short period after being rescued by Denise.

Today, there is a problem. Earlier this morning, Charlie went to his twitter account, now holding the attention of over three million followers. He blasted Denise for stealing the dogs.  This was the post on his Twitter account: “We must bombard with Warlock Napalm, that traitor and loser whore #DUH-neese POOR-ards. a vile kidnapper and now dog thief.”

Denise was quick to defend herself, and is standing firm. She won’t return the dogs, as it is clear to her, and the sane portion of America, that Charlie Sheen “can’t even take care of himself.”

Charlie is still gearing up for his tour. A stage, a chair and Charlie. That is the upshot of the “concert.” Charlie will sit and rant about all who have done him wrong. Could be a long night for ticket holders. Conan O’Brien also went to Twitter, expressing his thoughts of Charlie’s concerts. “Charlie Sheen is doing a 21-city comedy tour. Being a mentally unstable out of work TV star on tour was my idea.”

It is hard to predict just when the craziness and the “winning” will end, but for now, continue to see many more headlines with Charlie Sheen as the subject. His followers, and his hijinks aren’t going to slow down anytime soon.

If you think that Charlie Sheen is going to come out loser after being fired from the hit show, Two and a Half Men, you might want to think again. Turns out Charlie really is winning. His upcoming one-man show/concert – whatever the heck you want to call it - Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth, is selling out as soon as the tickets go on sale. His first show set at New York’s 6,000 seat Radio City Music Hall, sold out in under 30 minutes. When a second concert was set for the same venue, it too quickly sold out.

So, what are folks willing to fork over in order to see the ranting mad man? Anywhere from $79.50 to $519. In order to do a meet and greet with him, audience members can plan on spending $750. It is for a good cause, I suppose, as $1 per ticket is being donated to the Red Cross Japanese Earthquake Fund.

The Radio City show wasn’t the only venue to sell out. Another show sold out in just mere minutes, partly due to Charlie’s tweets. On Saturday, he posted one of his catch phrases, “Winning”.More shows have gone on sale, in places such as Cleveland, Columbus, NYC, Connecticut and Boston. All sold out, naturally.

 Sheen promises on Ticketmaster’s Web site. “This IS where you will hear the REAL story from the Warlock. Bring it. I dare you to keep up with me.”

What do all the sold tickets mean for Charlie? Revenue, revenue and even more outrageous amounts of revenue. It has been reported that Charlie will make $7 million dollars during the run of his tour. Each show is estimated to bring him anywhere from $250,000 to $275,000. That isn’t counting the merchandise that will be sold. Crazy.  

 $7 million. For ranting. What messages can be spoken, to allow him to earn such an unworldly amount of dough? Well, I am sure that messages like he is special, with tiger blood pumping through his veins, and other phrases that have been overly stated. It is unreal that such a frenzy has encircled this man.

Of course he is going to feel like a winner, America is providing him the funds and the ego, to continue feeling like he is invincible. It is very safe to say that he will in no way be missing the stage of Two and a Half Men. Ever.

Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper have broken up, after being a couple for two years. Renee, 41, and Cooper, 36, moved in together last fall.

 They met during the filming of “Case 39” but didn’t begin dating until 2009.  The two never officially confirmed their relationship, they were often seen out together. In addition, Bradley has been public about his feelings.

 It was just earlier this week that Bradley was a guest on the Howard Stern’s radio show. It was there that he discussed his marriage to Jennifer Esposito and his general feelings of marriage. “It was just something that happened,” Bradley said about his quick marriage [via UsMagazine.com]. “The good thing is, we both realized it … Sometimes you just realize it. It just wasn’t right. It’s interesting … things happen!”

 When Howard asked if he was turned off from marriage on a permanent basis, Bradley said that he was not. “Making any declarative statement [like that] is a joke,” he said with a chuckle. 

Although the pair never officially confirmed their relationship, they were frequently spotted out together and Cooper has been vocal about his feelings. “I can’t say enough about her,” he said  while promoting the couple’s film Case 39. “I just love her. I [loved] coming to work. I love acting with her. I can learn so much from her.”

In January of this year, Renee didn’t attend the Golden Globes. Instead, she went to be with Bradley, to help him through the loss of his father.One short month later, there were rumors about trouble in paradise. The pair attended a pre-Oscar party but didn’t hang out together.

Their reps have no comment.

Renee has also been in movies such as “Chicago” and “Jerry Maguire” and at one time was in a very short-term marriage with Kenny Chesney, which she received an annulment for.

Gilbert Gottfried has also had a unique style within the comedy ring. Over the years, he has spoken on topics that were taboo. He has made very inappropriate jokes, and this time he lost a job over it.

It was reported today that Gilbert posted very inappropriate jokes about Japan on his Twitter account. One statement announced that he broke up with his girlfriend, but that it was okay; like in Japan, another one would be floating by any minute. These were just tacky, uncalled for statements in a time where Japan has been hit with a full-blown catastrophe. It shows a lot about his makeup, his personality. To have such lack of compassion, to sound like such a jerk. This is why Aflac has decided to let him go. As of yesterday, he was the voice of the Aflac duck. The gig had been his for awhile but the bigwigs at Aflac pulled the plug after the series of out-of-line “jokes.”

The company’s statement follows: “Gilbert’s recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac … Aflac will immediately set plans in motion to conduct a nationwide casting call to find a new voice of the iconic Aflac Duck.”

Gottfried is often on hand when Comedy Central roasts various celebrities. He was participating in the roast of Bob Saget. In addition, he has done voice work, in the Disney movie series, “Aladdin.”

I understand that comedians are a bit different, that they usually try to turn everything into a joke. I get that, but isn’t there a line that shouldn’t be crossed? Just sayin.

Currently, there have been no more twitter postings from the fired employee. It will be interesting to see if he at least posts a semi-heartfelt apology for his insensitive words.

There must be something in the “tiger blood” that is causing hardcore fans of the trouble actor to act just as crazy as he is. From tats of the actor, to sneaking in his house, fans are really going crazy over Charlie.

Yes, it is true. “Sheen Fever” seems to have taken over America, shooting him straight to the top of the gossip mills for over two weeks now. Life in “Sheenville” is crazy right now, to say the least. What is even crazier is some of his fans. The photo, from tmz.com, shows tiger blood, charlie sheen and the newest catch phrase “winning.” The identity of this man is unknown, but chances are he will be regretting his crazy antic in a month, or less!

Also in Sheen news, a 26 year old man jumped the large privacy fence of Charlie’s backyard. Apparently, someone in the house called 9-1-1 a little after 11:30 pm. The Kansas City man was detained in the yard until police showed up and arrested him. He was later booked on suspicion of trespassing and bail was set at $1000. No word yet as to how he got through the heavily secured, gated community.

Another comical part of Charlie’s rants is his sold out concerts. He is taking his Internet rants and turning them into a money maker. Two shows were set, and sold out in a mere 18 minutes. Crazy? Yes, I am afraid so. It is amazing how so many people will spend their hard earned money to sit and listen to a disturb actor rant and rave about how terrible his situation is.

He also made live his own website, that also features some rants. T-shirts can be purchased from the site, featuring some of the more popular “Sheenisms.” Also, this is where tickets can be purchased, when more locations are added to the “tour.”

There are many folks who are sick of hearing about Charlie Sheen. They might feel the large amount of attention won’t help him. He seems to be thriving from it, however. Maybe a new celebrity will step up to the plate and take some attention away from the man. Until that happens, Charlie will leave this writer, as well as many others, with a good story!

A lot has been going on in the life of Charlie Sheen these days. Other celebrities have been speaking out about his unique situation, and agree that he needs some sort of help. Alec Baldwin publicly gave Charlie some good advice.

The thought out words by Alec were made with good intentions, but they also are too late to help. Charlie’s trailer was removed for the Warner Bros set last week. That is just another sign that the execs really have moved on. At this point, I feel that Charlie doesn’t stand a chance in regaining his role on “Two and a Half Men.”

The advice from Alec is this: “Take a nap. Get a shower. Call Chuck. Go on Letterman and make an apology. Write a huge check to the B’Nai Brith. And then beg for your job back. Your fans demand it.” The letter went on to state the obvious, something Charlie probably doesn’t want to hear. “You can’t win. You can’t.” One last piece of advice from Alec, ” Buy Cryer a new car.”

While Charlie is giving the appearance that he is moving onward and upward, close sources reveal the truth. They are worried about the situation escalating to suicide. Charlie revealed to UsWeekly that his lawyer wanted to remove the bullets from his gun. He has lost his job, his kids, and possibly touch with reality.

Sheen’s coworker,his TV mom is in full support of Charlie, and so far is the only member of the crew that has spoken publicly about Charlie. She states that he was always on time, delivered his lines perfectly, and that his personal life wasn’t an issue when at work.

Father of 5, Charlie has four young children, and their moms are smart to keep their babies out of harm’s way. Until Charlie gets control again, the children are safer not to be in that environment. Denise Richards, mom of Charlie’s two girls, has had primary physical custody for a few years now, while Brooke Mueller is just now going through her divorce. Brooke has twin boys with Charlie.

Other celebrities have voiced their opinion on the bizarre case. Donald Trump claims Charlie as a friend, but also says that he indeed does need help. Here’s hoping he finds the help that he apparently needs.
