Seriously, why would they even consider splitting it into two films? What would the first half be about? Bella getting married and banged up and Jacob angsting everywhere. Then the second half: Bella having this child - whose existence is illogical - and Bella getting turned into a vampire before 500 pages of nothing happening whatsoever and then the Cullens and Volturi having a social meeting before Bella pulls a deus ex machina.
