This week’s episode of Agent Carter season two opens with Peggy Carter joining Daniel Sousa at Jason Wilkes‘ house, where they’re investigating. When they find evidence that Wilkes is a Communist spy, Peggy says that she believes Isodyne is trying to frame him.
Peggy and Edwin Jarvis join Howard Stark on a movie set. She shows him the footage of zero matter. Howard says this kind of power doesn’t exist in the natural world.
Peggy and Daniel return to the offices and find Jack Thompson. He’s altered Peggy’s crime report to confirm that Wilkes was a Communist and responsible for the explosion. He doesn’t listen when Peggy says that Isodyne is setting Wilkes up.
Peggy meets Howard at his house. She tells him that she needs to find more about the Arena Club, which Wilkes was a member of.
Peggy gets into the Arena Club, where she sees a newspaper that’s been tampered with and plants a recording device under a table. The device starts admitting a loud sound, so she has to destroy it. Before she can leave, a man enters the room.
Peggy sees that the man has a gun out. While the man calls security, she sneaks out of that room and into a hallway.
Back at Howard’s house, the guys notice that objects around Peggy are floating. Stark has a theory and starts making a formula. He and Jarvis explain that the formula will make invisible wavelengths visible. Stark sprays the area near Peggy and reveals Wilkes. When Peggy tries to touch him, her hand goes through him.
Wilkes asks if he’s dead. Peggy says, “We thought so, but apparently not.” Wilkes says he’s been trying to get Peggy to notice him since the night before.
Vernon Masters meets with Jack. Jack hands him a film. He assures him that he didn’t watch it before handing it over. Vernon tells him, “You’re doing the right thing, Jack.”
Peggy finds Wilkes in Howard’s lab, helping him with his work. Wilkes says that he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to fix what happened to him and regain his corporeal form.
Peggy fights a punching bag by Howard’s pool. After Jarvis says good night to her, a masksed figure comes up behind her and grabs her. She fights him off and Jarvis returns to help fight him. Peggy shoots him and he runs away.
The next morning, Peggy greets Jarvis, who tells her that Howard has increased security to prevent future incidents.
Daniel tells Peggy that Whitney Frost is actually brilliant scientist Agnes Cully, the brains behind Isodyne Energy.
Whitney speaks to Kenneth, the director of the movie she’s in. He’s about to kiss her when he notices a mark on her face. She panics, grabs him and turns him into zero matter, which she absorbs. She sobs over what she’s done and the mark on her face grows.
