Although glam rocker Adam Lambert still stands behind his sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards, he does admit he “maybe went a little too far.” Appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, Lambert said even his dad was a bit taken aback by his racy show at the AMAs.
“My dad was like, ‘Maybe you should apologize, Adam,’” Lambert told Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday’s show. “I was like, ‘You know, dad, I don’t feel like I did anything wrong. It just wasn’t maybe the right judgment call. It’s a taste thing more than an obscenity thing. I think it’s just a taste level.’”
Lambert said after seeing Lady Gaga “tear it apart on stage” that something just came over him and he “got caught up in the moment and maybe went a little too far.”
