If you happened to catch last night’s episode of The X Factor 2012, besides seeing the crazy queen steal the microphone and get arrested, you also may have seen Britney Spears sing Happy Birthday to fellow X Factor mentor L.A. Reid. You can watch the video below, but let me rant about it a little first. The X Factor Season 2 has been great, but it is always all about Britney and we seem to forget Demi Lovato, right?
Here is where I get ticked off with X Factor 2012. Demi Lovato is the one who told Britney Spears that it was L.A. Reid’s birthday and they should do something for it. Demi suggested getting the cake for L.A. on The X Factor Season 2, but then Britney steals the limelight! Last night’s episode did put some focus on Simon Cowell and him being mean to the contestants, but for the most part it has been all about Britney. I get it, she is the big star on X Factor 2012, but come on now. Demi is funny and sarcastic and a hoot to watch…show her some more FOX!
So, after Demi suggested getting a cake for L.A. for his birthday, Britney than says she can sing Happy Birthday to him and makes this big hoopla about it, as seen in the video below. Did Britney forget that Demi is a singer too??? I would have been pissed if I was Demi and I would have stole the cake and started singing over Britney on The X Factor 2012! Britney is so drugged up she wouldn’t have known what hit her!
Now to the video, Britney does sing very good and I like hearing that the voice is still somewhere inside of her! I’m just ticked about Demi being thrown to the side to make even more room for Britney on The X Factor Season 2. She makes way more money than Demi, so can’t she throw her a bone? I love Britney, and it was kind of cool to see her singing. I do think Demi should have gotten more credit since the whole thing appeared to be her idea, but I’m skeptical about any of the backstage interactions between the judges are actually genuine. It feels really staged and forced at times. I’m taking everything they show us with a grain of salt at this point. I’m still really enjoying this season, though.
