On Sunday’s episode of Big Brother 14, the finale three contestants, Danielle Murphree, Dan Gheesling, and Ian Terry recapped the entire Big Brother 14 highlights and most memorable moments. For this preview we’ll recap some of the best moves by the Big Brother 14 final contestants.
Danielle Murphree
Her Game: So far Danielle on Big Brother 14 has pretty much hid behind her former coach, Dan, and let him make all her decisions. She’s basically laid low and let Dan and other players cause drama. She also got herself heavily involved in a showmance with Shane Meaney. Though, Shane told her repeatedly he did not want a showmance, Danielle became really attached to Shane. She basically made it to Big Brother 14 final three, because all the houseguests liked her and she didn’t seem like a big threat.
Her Best Game Moves: Danielle was one of the only girls in Big Brother 14 to actually win Big Brother 14 head of household competitions and POVS. This allowed her to actually make game decisions. Even though, Dan was usually the mastermind behind her decisions, she managed to show she could make big game moves. Danielle backdooring Janelle Pierzna was probably one of the best Big Brother 14 decisions. Janelle probably would have been one of the biggest physical threats and eventually gotten rid of Danielle when she had the chance. Danielle alligning herself with Dan all Big Brother 14 and never betraying him, allowed herself to seem weak in comparison. This made it easy for her to glide into the final three of Big Brother 14.
Odds of Winning: It’s highly unlikely that if Danielle makes it into the Big Brother 14 final two she’ll win. Ian and Dan have both made bigger game moves and Danielle’s biggest Big Brother 14 game move was being Dan’s puppet and having a showmance with a strong physical competitor. Though, most of the Big Brother 14 jury may hate Dan, they won’t reward Danielle for being nicer than him.
Ian Terry
His Game: Before the coaches reset, Ian just followed his coach, Mike “Boogie” Malin‘s instructions. He was really socially awkward and many Big Brother 14 contestants did not even know if they should talk to him. Once the Big Brother 14 coaches reset, Ian emerged as a strong player. He was not only a good social and mental player, but a physical threat. Ian managed to play his former coach and teammate for awhile and be one of the biggest forces in the “Quack Pack” alliance. Ian has played a really good Big Brother 14 game and is really deserving of being in the Big Brother 14 final three.
His Best Game Moves: Betraying Mike and Frank Eudy was a really smart decision. Frank and Mike were going to have big targets on their backs until the left. If he continued his alliance with them he would have been out early too. Ian helping form the “Quack Pack” alliance was also brilliant, because all the members have great game attributes. From being good social players to great physical ones, the “Quack Pack”" was almost unbeatable. They even managed to make the Big Brother 14 final four. Ian probably wouldn’t have gotten this far without the “Quack Pack.” Ian also was the only one to finally get rid of Frank. Ian has made really good decisions and big moves in Big Brother 14.
Odds of Winning: He probably has the best odds of winning Big Brother 14. In the Big Brother 14 jury house, he only has one really big enemy and many other Big Brother 14 players love him. The only reason he may not win is because the Big Brother 14 players may not hold their grudge against Dan and vote based on how he basically controlled the Big Brother 14 game. But Ian winning more competitions may tilt the odds back in his favor.
His Game: The first half of Big Brother 14, he played a pretty similar game to his Big Brother 10 game. He made friends and earned trust. He was loyal to his team and tried to lay low and not make any enemies. After Dan realized that game was not going to save him this time around, he basically became ruthless. He did not care who he hurt as long as he made it to the end of Big Brother 14. This game may cost him the title, but it looks like it has worked and he is one of the Big Brother 14 final three.
His Best Game Moves: Dan has so many great Big Brother 14 game moves, but by far his best was telling Frank about the “Quack Pack” alliance. This saved Dan from eviction and gained Frank’s trust. He used this trust to get rid of Frank and ultimately guarantee his spot in the final four of Big Brother 14. A close second for Dan on Big Brother 14 was convincing Dani to take him off the block and put up Shane. Then voting out Shane. Dan was right about Shane being too big of a threat, and if won the final HOH he would have taken Danielle to the final two. As the game stands now, Dan is almost guaranteed a final two spot.
Odds of winning: Dan by far should win Big Brother 14. He has played the best game and controlled the Big Brother 14 house like he was born to win Big Brother. Though he deserves to win, I’m not sure he will. More so than previous Big Brother seasons, the contestants seem to take things personal. If Dan is sitting next to Ian in the final two of Big Brother it could be the end of Dan, and if he’s not sitting next to Danielle, it could be the end of Dan’s chances of winning.
