How can a show be on for 25 seasons and still have people excited for the premiere? Survivor and CBS have a keen ability for it and here we are looking at the Survivor Philippines premiere tonight and season 25 of Survivor! Jeff Probst is back for the Survivor season 25 premiere and it looks like things could get quite interesting in the Philippines. Not only will the contestants be split into three tribes, but we will also see returning players and some celebrities making their way onto the tribes!
The Survivor Philippines cast contestants will be divided into three tribes this season. Each tribe will have one returning player: Jonathan Penner (appeared on Survivor Cook Islands and Survivor Micronesia, but his time was cut short due to a knee injury), Mike Skupin (appeared on Survivor Australian Outback and was medically evacuated when he fell into a fire after inhaling smoke) and Russell Shaw (appeared on Survivor Samoa and was medically evacuated when his heart rate plunged and he almost died on the island). These three players are out for blood on Survivor Philippines, so expect some drama from them.
Also appearing on the Survivor season 25 cast is Lisa Whelchel. Name sound familiar? Well, if you grew up in the 1980s it should! Lisa played Blair on the hit TV show The Facts of Life! You will also be able to watch Jeff Kent, an former MVP baseball player with the San Francisco Giants. Besides the returning players and these two better-known players, you can also see the mix of players as well, like a bartender, student, sex therapist and track coach.
