John Mayer Says You Haven’t Danced Until You’ve Been to a Gay Bar

We have to give kudos to the awesome John Mayer for gifting us with one of the best quotes we’ve found in the last few weeks. Appearing on The 7PM Project for an interview about his new album, Battle Studies, John Mayer explains a recent post on his Twitter feed about going to a “gay bar in Palm Springs.”

Speaking about his jaunt out with the gays, John Mayer dismissed rumors he lip-locked with any guys, but did say he had a “great time” dancing without all the bullshit of a typical straight bar outing.

“If you are a man in life and you haven’t gone to a gay bar, you haven’t really danced. Because you’re talking about a bar full of men without that dumb, alpha-male ego, pushing, shouldering… you can actually have a great time without worrying.”

Love it John! And we have to say it’s true. There is nothing more fun than dancing in a room full of gay men. Those boys know how to party like nobody’s business.
