WARNING: Face Off 2015 SPOILERS AHEAD!
Don’t want to know what happened on Face Off season 9 tonight? Then don’t read ahead!
The 100th episode starts off with the artists meeting McKenzie in a mausoleum to find out their challenge for tonight! McKenzie tells them that they will be working in teams of two and their models are real life couples, not the models they are used to. She then tells them that the couples will be getting married on the reveal stage and McKenzie will be officiating them! The teams are:
- Libby & Brittany
- Ben & Jasmine
- Ricky & Jordan
- Missy & Jason
- Scott & Stevie
- Meg & Nora
- Kevon & Evan
Each team is given a short message from the couples and in the videos, they tell the artists what they are into and how they got engaged. Off these short videos each of the teams come up with a concept and start sketching. They get back to the work room and start sculpting, that’s when McKenzie and Michael Westmore walk in. Michael gives his critiques,
He loved most of the ideas, however, some of the teams are freaking out a little bit. Stevie wants to use foam for their molds, but their sculpts are too thin for foam. They decide to switch it up and use silicon instead and lucky for her, Scott has more experience with silicone than with foam anyways. As day one winds down, the artists push to get as much of their sculpts done so that day two goes smoother.
Day two starts off with the artists finishing their sculpting and Ricky has decided that because his face piece isn’t as strong as he would like it, so he is going to add something. He is adding a chest piece that consists of a ribcage and a beating heart. It sounds great, just hope it works out for them. Meanwhile, Brittany and Libby are having issues with their molds not opening. No matter how hard she tries, Brittany can’t get it open so she asks Missy for help and they instantly open.
Day three is application day! While applying their makeup, Kevon rips the prosthetic that he is using on the bride’s face. He has to use latex to try and re-sculpt the pieces that he had to take off. After their time is up and they move on to last looks, some of the teams are not happy with where they are with their applications. Some of the teams are pretty well off with their applications and getting their paint started, but others have barely gotten their paint started.
Last looks comes and goes and it is time for them to head to the reveal stage and get these couples married! After the big reveal, my favorite makeup this week is from Ben and Jasmine, the one I would have to put in the bottom would have to be from Brittany and Libby, it wasn’t dark enough. Before we find out who is the winner and who will be going home, these seven couples are getting married!
The best and the worst this week are Ben & Jasmine, Jason & Missy, Ricky & Jordan, Nora & Meg. Judging by what the judges said, Missy & Jason and Nora & Meg are in the bottom. Ben & Jasmine and Ricky & Jordan are in the top and both of those teams deserve to be there.
The winning team this week is Ben & Jasmine, but only one person can be named the winner this week. The winner this week is Jasmine! We end this episode with a celebration of the 100th episode and the marriage of all the couples, no one is eliminated tonight, but it will be coming next week!
