This week on FYI’s series, Seven Year Switch, the couples spend their first full day together! Although one spouse goes back on a promise they made, the couples seem to be hitting it off well! Which couples will sleep in the same bed and who will land on the couch?
Read last week’s recap first so you’ll know what’s going on! Seven Year Switch 2015 Recap: S1 E1 – Switch Therapy.
CW and Danielle
We caught this Seven Year Switch 2015 couple out grocery shopping at the beginning of the episode. Even something as simple as this made them look back at their original spouses and notice a difference that was pleasant for them both. One interesting thing was that CW suggested they buy a bottle of wine, even though his wife told the cameras last week that neither one of them would share a glass of wine with their new spouse. Later on as they talked, Danielle expressed how she appreciated how important CW’s faith was to him, because Eric isn’t really religious. They decided to have a nice dinner at home.
Eric and Rachel
Speaking of CW’s wife, we get to see how things were going for her and Eric next! They sat and talked about their spouses, appreciating the fact that they were able to bond over how hard it is to have workaholic spouses. Later Rachel wound up letting Eric listen to one of her songs, which is something that CW usually doesn’t have time to do. Although it wasn’t really Eric’s kind of music, he knew how important and personal it was to Rachel and told her he liked it anyway. That night, Eric took the couch and Rachel took the bedroom.
Houston and Leah
On the first night of the switch, this couple decided to head out on the town and check out a bar. While there, they discussed his and Aleshia’s issue with spending quality time together. Although Houston didn’t see anything wrong with him having to schedule time with his wife, Leah completely got it, and so do I – that obviously means that she’s not a big priority in your life. To further solidify her point, she told him about the situation with her husband and confessed about the affair. They wound up sleeping in the same bed.
The next morning, Leah, who typically doesn’t really cook, attempted to cook eggs for her new “husband” – didn’t go so well, but Houston appreciated the thought.
Neal and Aleshia
This Seven Year Switch couple went out for dinner their first official night as a “married” couple. At the restaurant, Aleshia began talking to Neal about how she sometimes wonders if Houston wants to be away from her and is happy about the experiment. Even though Neal looks like he’s slick lusting over Aleshia a little bit, he did try to listen and give his honest opinion which was that Houston could possibly just be so driven to provide for her that he loses sight of her feelings sometimes. To further solidify his point, he brought up the situation with his wife, but wasn’t ready to discuss the affair. Although he didn’t mention it, Aleshia could feel that he was holding back.
When they got home, Aleshia talked about how she is afraid that, if Houston keep depriving her of what makes her feel loved, she may begin to look outside the marriage, which kind of reminded Neal of the affair – he kept a poker face though. They also wound up sleeping in the same bed.
The next morning, they were up talking about Neal – Aleshia was armed with questions. Eventually he was comfortable enough to tell her about the affairs – yes, affairs. According to him, Leah had two. But didn’t Leah say that he stepped out a little bit too? Neal doesn’t seem like he’s telling the whole truth.
