Rihanna ‘20/20′ Full Interview with Diane Sawyer – VIDEO
In her first televised interview since being assaulted and beaten by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna told 20/20’s Diane Sawyer she “was wrong” to go back to Brown after he attacked her.
“I stayed. I even went back after he beat me, which was wrong,” Rihanna told Sawyer in the 20/20 interview. “But again… I’m a human being and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal. And all these expectations, I’m not perfect.”
Rihanna’s interview on ABC’s 20/20 sent the show’s ratings through the roof, making it the top-rated show for the night among 18 to 49-year-olds. Watch the Rihanna 20/20 full interview with Diane Sawyer below.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown has responded to Rihanna’s interviews on Good Morning America and 20/20 by saying he wishes his ex would keep the details of the domestic violence incident private. “I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us,” he said in the statement to MTV.
