Hug your sestras, Clone Club! BBC America announced today that Orphan Black season 4 is a go! As quoted in the BBC America press release, check out what co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson had to say on the renewal:
We’re thrilled to be moving forward with season four of the Orphan Black saga. Huge thanks to our partners Temple Street Productions, and to BBC AMERICA and Space. We’re extremely excited about where our story lines are going, and look forward to riding the rollercoaster with our amazing fans #CloneClub.
Even if we’re all still reeling from last week’s big revelation about the Project Castor clones, we can rest easy knowing that Tatiana Maslany will be back as Sarah Manning (and Alison Hendrix, and Cosima Niehaus, and Helena, Rachel Duncan, and whoever else they come up with) for another season of mind-blowing twists and turns. There’s no word yet on whether or not Ari Millen’s boy clones will return for season 4, especially considering the rate at which they’re dropping like flies in season 3. But one thing’s for certain: Whatever happens, it will be sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats — and in a social media frenzy.
Via BBC America’s press release:
“Orphan Black” continues to show tremendous social media engagement, ranking as the #1 basic cable drama on Twitter and Tumblr in its premiere week, and continuing to rank among the Top 10 cable dramas on both platforms each week thereafter.
That’s right: The Clone Club is number one on social media! Was there ever any doubt?1 of 1
