America’s Got Talent 2012 Wild Card Predictions: Who Will Make the Top 24?

On the America’s Got Talent  2012 Wild Card live performances show Tuesday night, twelve previously rejected acts will battle it out one more time for the chance to make it into the Top 24 semifinalists. While a few of the acts, such as goth singer Andrew De Leon and young Mariachi singer Sebastian El Charro are already favorites to move on, making America’s Got Talent  2012 Wild Card predicitions for the rest of the acts is a bit more difficult.

For my America’s Got Talent 2012 Wild Card predictions, it was relatively easy for me to dismiss a few of the acts as not even worthy of being seen again. It is unfortunately that acts like Cristin Sandu, Todd Oliver & Irving, Jerrett & Raja, Jake Wesley Rogers, and Horse were allowed to return and take up valuable real estate that could have been occupied by better acts.

Okay, so I know there are plenty of teenage boys out there who think Horse is awesomely cool for getting racked in the balls repeatedly over and over, but really? A million dollars for not throwing up when you get cracked in the nuts? I don’t think so.

There are a few other America’s Got Talent 2012 Wild Card acts that have some grade of talent, but I just don’t think are good enough to make it through to the Top 24.

For example, there is archery expert daredevil Ben Blaque. There is no denying his act will keep you on the edge of your seat… but it’s the same thing over and over again, just with slightly different targets. Even though it is exciting, it is also boring at the same time.

Another America’s Got Talent 2012 Wild Card act that really is very cool, but lacks enough diversity of elements to be worth that million dollar prize is the Bandbaz Brothers. I love watching this act, but there just isn’t enough, you know? Ditto for the all male cloggers All That! — fun to watch, somewhat entertaining, but at the end of the day, they are cloggers. If someone gives a group of cloggers a million bucks, I will be sorely pissed.

Two acts that I actually am really fond of and believe will make it through the America’s Got Talent 2012 Wild Card round are dancer/gymnast Lindsey Norton, and 10-year-old Mariachi singer Sebastien El Charro. Lindsey is just fabulous and beautiful to watch, even if she doesn’t have the huge production value of a Vegas act. Little Sebastien is not only good, but he’s got the ‘cute factor’ in spades.

The final two acts of the night are the two I think really have the best chance of making it through to the America’s Got Talent 2012 Top 24: opera singer Andrew De Leon and escape artist/illusionist Spencer Horsman.

Both of these America’s Got Talent 2012 Wild Card acts were eliminated after major flubs. Andrew De Leon choked during his last performance and it wasn’t pretty. Spencer Horsman mucked up his illusion and let the audience see something they shouldn’t have. Regardless, however, they are both extremely talented and both deserve a place in the Top 24 — especially considering some of the dreck that made it through from the YouTube round.

So there are my America’s Got Talent 2012 Wild Card predictions for this week. Who are your favorites to make it through to the Top 24?

I have to agree that some of the acts returning could be taken by better acts and that’s one thing I’ve come to dislike about America’s Got Talent. Then again, perhaps Howie, Sharon, and Howard didn’t have a choice. What happens when they can’t agree on the people to come back to the show? Do the producers choose who fills the spots? Anyway, I’m definitely rooting for the Mariachi band in this pool of contestants along with William Close. Tonight’s episode will be interesting and I’ll probably end up staying up late to watch it.
