Big Brother 14 Recap: Week 6 Episode 17 – The HoH & Nominations

The Big Brother 14 house still has  ten houseguests. Only one more houseguest needs to leave before the rest go to the jury house. Many are desperate to make it at least into the jury stage, because they become eligible for the fan favorite prize money. Some just want a chance to decide who gets the money, and maybe more airtime. So who’s sent home this week can make or break someone’s game plan.

Last Thursday on Big Brother 14, Wil Heuser was evicted from the house.  This plan was set in motion by Mike “Boogie” Malin and Frank Eudy. Frank debated backdooring Dan Gheesling and going after a strong player, instead of a relatively weak one. However, Boogie convinced Frank it was too early to turn on their alliance.

Though last week, “The Silent Six” alliance formed, none of the four other members trusted Mike and Frank. Their suspicions proved right as Frank constantly wanted to backdoor Dan. These actions made it pretty clear Frank and Mike couldn’t be trusted. However, Frank decided to not go through with his plan. He hoped this would create some trust among his alliance and himself.’

But will it? On Big Brother 14, even the hint of a betrayal can cause a downward spiral. And as Big Brother 14 history has shown, either Danielle Murphree or Shane Meaney are most likely to win this HOH. Of the newbies, them, along with Frank are the biggest physical threat. Both Danielle and Shane are in an alliance with Frank and Mike, but both are more loyal to their “Quack Pack” alliance. This alliance consists of Dan, Danielle, Shane, Britney Haynes, and Ian Terry.

The real power and control lies in their hands.  So will the “Quack Pack” stay true to “The Silent Six” alliance on Big Brother 14? Or will they use this opportunity to get rid of Frank or Mike?

Read our full recap below to find out who won HOH and who was put on the block on tonight’s  Big Brother 14 nominations show recap!

During the HOH competition, houseguest slip and slid to go for safety, $10,000, and HOH title.

Ashley, Dan, Joe, Jenn and Britney aimed for safety.

Boogie aimed to get $10,000 for his son.

The rest went for the HOH title.

Danielle fell the most. Frank was upset Mike didn’t even try for the HOH title. Ashley said she had to fight for herself because she did’t have anyone looking out for her safety.

Dan and Britney were neck and neck for safety, but ultimately won safety.

Mike won the money.

After Brit won safety, the rest of the contestants  focused on the HOH title.

Dan managed to pick up his pace after losing safety and shot up to the third place for HOH. Shane and Danielle were first and second place.

Finally Shane took the HOH title (shocker!).

HOH Room Time!

In Shane’s room was a picture of Shane’s dog, Doozer. Also, he got a letter from his sister.

Jenn finally got some airtime as she was depressed about Wil leaving and missing her family.  Poor Jenn.

The “Quack Pack” member Ian decided to tell Britney that Mike tried to make sure he put up Britney and Shane for eviction. Britney then told the other “Quack Pack” members and they agreed Frank and Mike needed to go up for eviction.

There was a segment on Joe’s crazy stories, that no one believes (Ugh, Joe)

Ian decided to ask Ashley on a date to compete with Frank.

Ian decided to let Brit shave his armpits for his date. Ashley and Danielle decided to  help them do it. His armpits started to burn but he was hairless.

He made Ashley a pizza for their date and there was general silence. They also have pointless small talk (worst flirtmance).

While Dan, Boogie, and Ian were playing pool, Ian discussed the possibility of next season being good vs evil( I support that idea!). Ian also said he should be on   the evil team and he’s more evil than Dan. Mike or Dan didn’t believe it. But Ian, in the DR, suggested he earned it by being in the “Quack Pack.” I don’t know if that’s evil or just a smart game move.

The players found a box with a question mark. Britney began speculating and discussed it with Shane in order to ensure he stuck to their plan.

Mike and Frank were feeling confident about them not going up on the block. But Shane decided ultimately to stick to the original plan and place Mike and Frank up for eviction.

So who will win the POV on Big Brother 14? And  will someone else go up as a replacement nominee? And what does the question mark box mean?
