The bloody-and very nude-conclusion of True Blood season 5 is only two weeks away. Most of the subplot lines have ended. Now all the focus is on Sookie’s parent’s death and the vampire revolution. These two plot points are finally merging together, and on tomorrow night’s episode of True Blood season 5 they should completely overlap. There is much speculation about who will die, whether Bill is going to save the day, or lost forever, who is the vampire that killed Sookie’s parents, and, of course, the most pressing question: what male character is going full-frontal nude?

Who Will Die?
Before last week’s episode of True Blood season 5, Hoyt seemed primed and ready to die. But after, one of the best scenes of True Blood season 5, it’s clear Hoyt is gone and gone for good. Since this is a supernatural drama, deaths will occur and probably multiple ones. Of course some of Sookie’s faerie friends are likely to die. But other likely candidates are Holly, Russell, Steve, and Jason.
Holly is kind of a pointless character and I, often, forget about her, but last week there was a random placement of Andy and her that was “too happy” and screamed foreshadowing. It also looks like Andy got the faerie woman pregnant, so the Holly and Andy happy union should come to an end soon. Just to trim some dead weight, I think Holly won’t make it to True Blood season 6.
Russell’s crazy reign has to come to an end sometime and now seems likely. His character is increasingly becoming reckless. He’s turned his back on the authority and now he’s focusing on the faeries. As the trailer (below) for this week’s True Blood season 5 suggests, Sookie’s not taking Russell’s crap anymore. So looks like Sookie is going to finally stake Russell, but will he manage to escape once again?
Plus as the clip (above) shows, the U.S government also wants Russell dead. So Russell has too many enemies to survive on his own.
Rev. Steve has actually become my favorite character this season and I’m loving the romance between Russell and him. But as the vampire spokesman, it seems highly likely he’ll die. Plus his obsession with Jason can only harm him in the end.
Jason is least likely to die, but the clip below and image of Jason lying in the grave suggests he may just become a vampire. Jason has really evolved this season and him becoming a vampire seems pointless on so many levels. Tara becoming a vampire actually caused her evolution and redeemed her character a lot. Jason becoming one seems like a backtrack, but it could happen, but do the fans want it?
Bill: Faking Crazy or Real Crazy?
Bill has easily been influenced in the past, but for him to completely support killing humans, seems completely out of character. And if this is Bill’s new identity, it’s highly unlikely he’ll survive this season. It would be a complete shock for True Blood to kill off one of it’s leading men, so Bill must be faking crazy.
He did seem to buy the Lilith craziness, until his sexy time with Salome. This seems like the moment Bill realized things are not so holy and great. After that he became over the top crazy, which seems like he’s really putting on an act. He also hesitated when killing Molly (hardest death for me all season! She had potential to become a great character!).
I’m team Bill is fake crazy, especially because if he’s not, everyone is going to die, and though it would actually be good for the show to get rid of some human dead weight, I don’t see that happening anytime soon. So how is fake crazy Bill going to save the day on True Blood season 5?
Sookie’s Parent’s Death
This mystery is least likely to reach a conclusion on True Blood season 5. If anything, the cliffhanger for the end of the season will probably be Sookie discovering just who he is and what this means for her future. Next season will probably explore this storyline more.
Nude, nude, and more nude
On tomorrow night’s episode of True Blood season 5 there is the much talked about full-frontal male nudity scene. Since everyone else seems fully clothed in the trailer and the trailer shows Luna as a prisoner nude, I don’t think it’s hard to predict Sam is going to be shown full-frontal.
Excited to see Sam nude, or do you wish it was someone else?
Though, True Blood season 5 has had more misses than hits, I think the final two episodes are going to redeem the season. Agree or disagree?

Could Bill have been replaced with a vampire shapeshifter who goes by the name Warlow? The real bill could still be locked up from when they were first captured. This is one of the few ways to bring Warlow into the story and have some other connection besides the baby Sookie episode. Warlow being locked up all this time would explain why he never came for Sookie over the past 20 or so years.
I did not think about that, that’s a good theory. I guess we’ll see on the finale.
I sure think it is being redeemed. This season was not my favorite, but it is getting really good in the end. It feels more like the normal TB that we all fell in love with.
I, too, feel that Bill is faking it. I know that is kind of predictable – but I just do not think they could kill Bill off. It would make absolutely no sense, at all. Those are the stars of the show!
But, he might be really off his rocker right now and realize it at some point. I wonder if he is for real right now and will come to his senses once he realizes Snookie is in trouble. If Bill turned Snookie away in such a big manner…that would be like the biggest slap in the face. Ever.
It’s “Sookie,” not “Snookie.”
