With boys bands seeming to be cool again thanks to One Direction and The Wanted, the old boy bands are coming out of the woodworks. Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block have been out and about touring and now 98 Degrees is making their way into the limelight. The boys were reunited for their 98 Degrees Today Show reunion yesterday and it was kind of amazing!
It has been ten years since they have performed together, but not going to lie…the 98 Degrees Today Show reunion made me feel old! I remember listening to them when I was “young” and it’s been ten years already? Ugh!!! The members of 98 Degrees: Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre say they have transformed from a “boy band” into a “man band.” I guess they have, but don’t they look good as men? In 1997, 98 Degrees released their first album, which produced the first huge hit “Because Of You,” which you can check out at the end of this article!
During the 98 Degrees Today Show reunion, the boys sang some of their most memorable hits: “Because of You,” “Hardest Thing,” “I Do (Cherish You)” and “Invisible Man.” The band is set to play the Mixtape Festival in Hershey, PA, today, which will also feature New Kids On The Block, Kelly Clarkson, The Fray and LL Cool J.
While on The Today Show, Nick Lachey said: “We view this opportunity as a chance to kind of test it out and see if it was still fun, and I think we’re all very happy to say we’re having a great time. I think you can expect more from us down the line.” So, do you want to see more of 98 Degrees?
