Big Brother 14 Recap: Week 5 Episode 16- Live Eviction & HOH Competition

On tonight’s Big Brother 14 another Big Brother newbie will get sent home. After surviving over a month in the Big Brother 14 house, his time will come to an end. Both contestants up for eviction are about evenly matched tonight and anyone can go home on this episode of Big Brother 14. And with one of the most unpredictable seasons in Big Brother history, who will win the HOH title? And will Big Brother 14 send the houseguests another twist?

On last night’s episode of Big Brother 14, HOH, Frank Eudy chose not to use his POV power. This leaves Wil Heuser and Joe Arvin still on the block, and up for eviction. Though, Mike “Boogie” Malin and Frank both want Wil to go home, whether he will is still yet to be determined.

Wil managed to cause Mike and Frank to worry about if they could align themselves with him in the future. Instead of making promises and lying to their faces, Wil chose honesty. Honesty, never really gets Big Brother contestants too far. Wil seems like a genuine person so it’ll be sad to see him go, but it’s a smarter move for Frank and Mike to send Wil out the door than getting rid of Joe.

Joe is, in my opinion, the most annoying houseguests of Big Brother 14. He causes trouble, always stirring the drama. He also annoys the housemates by being selfish and inconsiderate. And his diary room screams are cringy worthy to watch. So if the houseguests make it personal, Joe should leave on tonight’s Big Brother 14.

Both contestants have friends and allies in the house. And though, this season, so far, contestants are following the HOH’s orders, a shake up can always happen.

So who went home on tonight’s Big Brother 14? And who won the HOH title? Read our full recap of the Big Brother 14 live eviction recap to find out!

Frank decided to admit he thought about backdooring Dan. Frank thought it would be a good move to build trust. Dan took it as a sign Frank can’t be trusted (Frank just messed up on so many levels.)

Ashley decided to ask Frank on an ice cream date to get info on where the house is voting and because she wanted a date with Frank. Ian was a little jealous. Frank asked her to make out and they did (surprising new showmance or a one-time thing?)

Joe and Wil both talked to Britney, Shane, and Danielle, and tried to secure their votes.

Host  Julie  Chen announced that tonight’s HOH would be an endurance competition. She also announced America could vote on what to tempt the houseguest with a “Have Not” pass, or ten-thousand dollars (This one is an easy vote).

There was a segment on Joe’s wife and kids (insert shock at how hot his wife is!) . His kids and wife were both funny and seemed more annoy by Joe then me (I’d rather see them in the house than Joe)

Then  Julie Chen talked to fan favorite Jeff Schroeder. She asked him about Jordan Lloyd and hosting the online Big Brother show. She also asked who he thought could win and he said probably Ian (Ian is becoming a pretty popular choice).

She also let him interview her for a little bit. He asked her “what type of player would she be if she was in the Big Brother house?” She said she go big and be like Boogie or Janelle. No floating for Julie (I vote if Big Brother USA does a celebrity version they include Julie as a player).

She then finally went to the houseguests and made them answer questions on current events. This must be waste time day on Big Brother 14. Then Joe and Wil gave their speeches. Joe gave one of the worst speeches in Big Brother history. Then voting began.

Ashley voted to evict  Joe

Mike voted  to evict Wil

Danielle voted to evict Wil

Jenn voted to evict Joe

Dan voted to evict Wil

Britney voted to evict Wil

Shane voted to evict Wil

Ian voted to evict Wil

Wil is evicted from the Big Brother 14 house. Ugh Joe is still there.

Julie asked him about talking to Mike and Frank and how that was probably the reason he’s sitting there. He said he didn’t want to kiss butt or push someone under the bus. All his goodbye messages basically said that was the reason he left.

Now HOH Competition Time

The competition involved walking down a slippery lane carrying liquid and the first person to fill their bowl wins HOH. But the contestants also had two other temptations, safety and $10,000. The first person to fill either of those wins safety or the money.

Before the show ended Julie announced that next Thursday will be a double eviction show (finally!).

So who will win the HOH title on Big Brother 14?  And who will win safety? Win 10,000 and be put up for eviction? Come back here Sunday and find out on our live nomination episode recap!
