America’s Got Talent 2012 Live Recap: YouTube Winners Revealed!

Tonight on America’s Got Talent 2012, the winners of the YouTube quarterfinalists show moving on to the America’s Got Talent season 7 semifinals will be revealed. Join us for our America’s Got Talent 2012 recap as we bring you the winners from last night’s show live!

Who were your favorites from last night’s America’s Got Talent 2012 live performance show? Did you have one? Or did you think — like many critics out there — that pretty much all of the acts last night were a bust and should have stayed in obscurity on YouTube where they belong?

This post contains America’s Got Talent 2012 spoilers from the reveal of the final four acts in the quarterfinals. Please do not keep reading if you do not want to know what happened!

To be honest, I think all of the America’s Got Talent 2012 YouTube quarterfinalists were extremely weak and there was pretty much no one I felt was better than quite a few previously eliminated acts from the regular show that were far more deserving. If I had the choice, I’d send all of the America’s Got Talent 2012 YouTube acts home and replace them with better performers who were cut earlier on the show.

Alas, I don’t get to make that decision (which you may violently disagree with anyway), so tonight America’s votes will decide which of the YouTube quarterfinalists will move on to the next round of America’s Got Talent 2012. So let’s just skip right past my less than important opinion anyway and get right on with our America’s Got Talent recap of the results show right now!

To kick off the show tonight we have a special guest star straight from the 2012 London Olympics, gold medal winner in gymnastics, Gabby Douglas!

First up to find out their fate for the results show tonight are Cast in Bronze, Academy of Villains, and Reverse Order. America has voted and the act going through from these three is… Academy of Villains!

Justin Bieber fans were gifted with a preview of his new song, “As Long As You Love Me,” while I just wanted to tape up my ears and hum to myself. This is followed by a performance by duo Carmin of Internet fame.

The next three acts to find out if they will be moving forward are Bria Kelly, Rudy Coby, and 7 in Unison. Thankfully, America votes through the best of the three (although that isn’t saying a huge amount)… Bria Kelly.

The Magic of Puck, Eric Buss, and Melinda Hill are next up and from this group we will be seeing… The Magic of Puck once again in the semifinals.

Now we have more time-filler as we watch a day in the life of Howard Stern. Yeah, fun.

Finally we have the last results. Only one more act will be going through from the YouTube quarterfinalists. Will it be Clint Carvahlo and his parrots? Romeo Dance Cheetah? Or Drew Erwin? Well, apparently America thinks there is way more going on with Clint and his birds than I do and they ahve voted the parrots through to the next round.

  1. Wasn’t it the judges that voted Clint and his parrots through? I don’t know about you, but I thought it was pretty impressive to see Kitten fly that length. I actually think they made a great decision between him and Drew in the long run. Drew will be magnificent in the future though, I’m sure of it! I am definitely not surprised about the acts America voted through. I wasn’t at all impressed with the performances the other night, and honestly don’t see any of them going on for much longer. My coworker and I were talking about it earlier today, and could maybe see The Magic of Puck being pretty cool if he goes big next time. If he’s been doing magic as long as he says he had then he really shouldn’t have a problem doing something to amaze America! :)
