On last Thursday’s episode of Big Brother 14, the houseguests learned a big twist. A twist, many saw coming. For the following week, America had been voting on whether or not the veteran coaches: Janelle Pierzina, Mike “Boogie” Malin, Britney Haynes, and Dan Gheesling, would have the chance to return to the game. The results of that vote would change Big Brother 14 forever.

Host Julie Chen read the results and America voted for the coaches to enter the game as players. After this announcement was read, each coachwent to the diary room and was given the opportunity to push a reset button and return to the game. If one player pushed the button all the coaches had to enter the game.
Britney was the first to enter into the diary room. She struggled with her decision, but eventually pressed the button. Mike had no conflict and chose not to press it. Then Dan and Janelle both eagerly pressed the button. This meant all coaches, including Mike, had to begin getting their game hats on.
The other twist with this was that the game would reset and there would be no teams, no coaches, and no one would leave that night. This meant Joe Arvin and Frank Eudy were saved from eviction. This also meant outgoing HOH, Shane Meaney also had a chance to play for the HOH.
The way Thursday’s Big Brother 14 left off all the houseguests, including veterans, were holding on for their lives in the HOH competition. So who won this coveted HOH competition? Was it a vet or newbie? And who did they target? Read on in our Big Brother 14 HOH and nominations show recap!

This Big Brother 14 episode started by showing how the houseguests felt about the coaches entering the competition. Then talked about why each coach pressed the button or didn’t press it.
Dan decided to tell Mike that they were planning on voting out Frank. Janelle also decided to lie and say she didn’t push the button.
Mike yelled he hated Dan for pressing the button during the HOH competition. Britney talked about how painful the competition was and how Shane and her were the main targets.
Mike was the first to drop out the competition. Then Jenn and Joe fell next.
Joe and Mike talked about him being safe and everyone knowing but not telling him.
Ashley and Dan both fell off. Wil commented in the DR how Dan was making it obvious he was throwing competitions like on Big Brother 10.
Frank fell next and Mike told him that everyone was planning to vote him out.
Wil asked Danielle if she’d keep him safe. Then Shane and him decided to jump off together. Janelle walked off next.
The final three were Ian, Danielle, and Brittney.
Ian began trying to make a deal with Danielle and Britney. But Dan interrupted and started to make a speech to get Danielle to stay in the game.
Mike was still mad about learning people were going to vote Frank out. Mike began telling Frank that their alliance was solid. Ian made a deal that Brit and Dani would keep him safe. Then Britney asked Danielle too. And Britney fell off. Danielle is the new HOH.
Dan ran and grabbed her off. Then Shane kissed her as she was lying on the ground.
Dan continued to try to gain Mike’s trust, but Mike was too angry to listen. Shane and Danielle talked about his HOH and if she should target Janelle. Britney came in the room with Mike and Frank. Brit tried to lie about knowing that Frank was the main target. Both Frank and Mike didn’t believe it.
Dan told Danielle and Britney he was the one that told Mike.
HOH room time!
Danielle got a letter from her mom and apparently her parents did not know she was coming in the Big Brother 14 house. Her mom wrote encouraging words.
Shane, Britney, Danielle, and Dan discussed getting Frank out and putting up Wil as a pawn. Dan didn’t want a coach to go up because it could make his target bigger, despite her shock.
In the storage room, Wil reminds Danielle she promised him safety so she questioned her original plan.
Ian talked about trying to flirt with Ashley but Shane’s shirtless workout messing it up.
Mike was still angry about learning Frank was going to leave the house. He also didn’t like that Danielle won the HOH competition.
Dan tried to make sure Danielle put up Wil and Frank. Danielle questioned it because she didn’t want to make an enemy with Wil.
During the nomination ceremony, Danielle put Wil and Frank up for eviction.
