Tonight’s the penultimate (next to last!) episode of Parenthood 2015 as Parenthood Season 6 closes its final season very soon. Been paying attention to Parenthood 2015 spoilers? Is a Braverman really going to die? I sure hope not! Zeek wants to walk Sarah down the aisle when she marries Hank. The preview shows Joel and Julia talking to their kids–about reconciling on Parenthood 2015? Let’s get on with it. See the Parenthood 2015 recap of tonight’s show below.
Last week’s episode of Parenthood Season 6 was heartwarming with Joel and Julia kissing in front of their kids, and Sarah accepting Hank’s proposal. We’re still waiting to see what Zeek and Camille decide on his surgery and also if Amber will have a healthy baby. Let’s find out!
WARNING: Parenthood 2015 SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
This post contains Parenthood Season 6 spoilers for tonight’s show. Please do not read any further if you do not want to know what happened on tonight’s show of Parenthood the farewell season.
Tonight Parenthood 2015 starts out with Adam and Crosby helping out with hanging a sign for career week at Chambers Academy, while arguing about spending too much money on The Luncheonette. Adam gets asked to be a student’s (Edgar) mentor on French cooking. Yeah, Crosby, I’m wondering, too, how that will happen.
Sydney is thrilled that her dad is moving back in at home. Victor is skeptical. How do they know this will work? They just know. They always loved each other even when they had their problems. But what happens the next time they fight, asks Victor?
Sarah and Hank discuss wedding plans with Amber. Hank thinks at a volcano would be cool. Ha! Or a cave. Amber looks uncomfortable. Mom! She’s having contractions. Sarah runs to get her bag, while Hank asks if she wants ice chips and Air Supply music put on. Heehee.
Zeek and Camille take a walk, with Zeek looking pretty tired. Time for a breather. Zeek doesn’t want the operation, he shares. He just wants to enjoy the time he has left. Teary-eyed Camille listens as he tells her he doesn’t want to go into surgery again. He thinks it’s the best thing. Millie says, “Okay.” “You with me?” he asks. Of course! “I’m always with you.” Dang. I’m teary-eyed already watching the penultimate episode of the farewell season of Parenthood Season 6.
Hank drives Sarah and Amber to the hospital, with Hank stressed out about driving, with Amber yelling . . . . Crosby and Jasmine, Adam and Kristina, meet them there. Julia gets the phone call at home–no rush, she says to Joel, who wonders about the sexy underwear in her dresser drawer. Oh, don’t tell me there will be trouble in paradise already!
Hank and the Braverman brothers look in the hospital gift shop for gifts. Hank admits he almost killed Amber in the car with his driving.
Kristina seems upset with Jasmine in the lobby that she “guilted” Adam into going back into the recording studio business. Kristina says it was failing, and he wanted out. The hubbies walk in to see the arguing. Crosby didn’t even know that his wife had gone to talk to Adam about changing his mind. Dang. Dad tries to step in. Then everybody is yelling. Crosby says he quits The Luncheonette now.
Sarah and Amber come out to say the whole thing was a false alarm–gas, no less!
Crosby and Jasmine leave, with him upset with Jasmine for interfering. He doesn’t want to be in business with Adam if he doesn’t want to. It’s over. It’s no longer special. Aww . . . .
Back at Joel and Julia’s, parents are making pancakes. Joel’s are better, it seems. I guess they worked things out with the kids. Then Julia gets a call from work. The ex? Yep. Joel wants to enjoy breakfast with the kids. She is sorry that she has to go. She slept with people, and he did, and they just have to deal with it. He says, how many? He says he didn’t sleep with “people.” Oops. Will have to have this conversation later–as the kids look sadly on at their talking/arguing out on the patio. Dang.
Sarah and Hank, in the darkroom, continue to discuss their wedding plans. Sarah doesn’t see it practical to go far away. Hank mentions how it must be with her dad. He’s glad she has had him this long. He must be good because she is–a beautiful person. She thanks him and hugs him.
Camille is painting Zeek outside. She’s pretty good! He’s tired of posing and says they should tell the kids about not having surgery. They should tell the four kids–no grandkids or spouses to distract, just the original six of the Braverman family together for dinner.
So Adam is helping student Edgar with making a French omelet during career week. Max takes a picture, but hates the fake pictures. Edgar wants to make a souffle. Challenging, says Adam, as Max snaps random photos. Max says statistics show that Edgar and the other students will eventually be unemployed, anyway. Adam says they’re making the souffle!
Sarah shows up at Amber’s apartment. Amber is playing the guitar–“our song,” according to Sarah. Mom just wanted to check on her. Amber wants her to hang out for a bit. She says she felt relieved that she didn’t have the baby the other day because she doesn’t know how to even take care of herself. Sarah says she will figure it out. What if it’s a mistake, asks Amber? Mom tells her that when she holds the baby, she won’t feel that way. There’s a “shift.” Sarah takes the guitar to play and sing. Daughter joins in. Sweet.
Then it’s dinner time for the four Braverman kids with Mom and Dad. Lots of good conversation and food to start out. The kids are then arguing about old times over a knife fight, and Dad walks out. He can’t take it, I guess. He lies down in his room. Sarah walks in. He’s coming back, he says. Too much yelling. He has to rest. Hank proposed, says Sarah. She’s tearful as he says he can’t wait to walk her down the aisle. But will he? He’s so proud of her. More tears. Dang it.
Julia comes home to Joel saying she’s home late. How was the “sibling only dinner”? She shares that Zeek isn’t having the surgery. She doesn’t think he will change his mind. Julia takes Joel’s hand; they have to talk about her job and Chris. Joel doesn’t want the kids to hear them argue. But they have to talk, says Julia. He’s scared to argue; she’s scared not to. So they go out into the car to argue! Joel thinks she needs to look for another job; she wants to keep a job. He’s freaked out that several men have been in their bed. So they’re re-evaluating. Scary stuff.
Adam and Kristina, at home, talk to Max about the 85% unemployment statistic. Mom tells him that they have watched him grow, and he’s smart and talented. Passionate about photography. They think he will be successful. “A superstar,” they say. Without much expression, he asks if he can return to reading now. Mom is teary-eyed, “I love you.” Max doesn’t like the emotion, but Mom tells him to suck it up. Perhaps there’s a slightly pleased look on his face when the parents leave.
Sarah watches Hank working on his photo lenses. Sarah tells him that she really just wants to get married “here.” Soon. Next week. She wants to make sure her dad is there. She breaks into tears. And so do I. Hank wants that, too. They’ll do it next week, then. And they’ll get pictures of everybody, says Hank. He doesn’t want her to cry.
Adam and Edgar continue their cooking. Edgar wonders about Max’s stats. No, says Adam, don’t worry about that. Just keep trying. “How did you find your passion?” asks Edgar. “I’ll let you know when it happens,” says Adam, as they wait for the souffle to cook.
Then we go to a student at Chambers Academy following her passion, singing Ave Maria, as Kristina looks on with tears. Career week is going well, as others are in an architect class, others in a dance class with Jasmine. Kristina is pleased. Dylan is in there, too! Max is watching, taking pictures under Hank’s watch. And the souffle is successful! Adam and Edgar are excited! Success! Max takes pics, and the school comes in to clap, including Kristina and Hank.
Amber, meanwhile, wakes up to call Sarah. She says it’s real this time. And Amber wants just her this time. Hank wants Sarah to send a picture of the baby. Amber waits for her mom.
In bed, Julia and Joel hug. I guess they have worked it out. Yay!
Adam packs up records, as Crosby looks on. I guess they are giving up on the recording studio dream. Too bad.
And Amber is in labor, with Mom at her side. There’s the newest Braverman baby! Then the grandparents show up to meet their great-grandson . . . named Zeek. Okay, Niagara Falls in my eyes right now. And everyone on the set, pretty much.
So next week’s previews: Sarah and Hank’s wedding, and Zeek’s goodbye? Are the Parenthood 2015 Season 6 spoilers right? Is Zeek going to die? Okay, gotta go. I’m stopped up with too many tears tonight. Hope you enjoyed the recap. See you next week for the series finale of Parenthood Season 6 as we say goodbye for good to the Bravermans.
