America’s Got Talent 2012 Live Recap: Results, Four More Chosen

It’s time for another set of results in tonight’s America’s Got Talent 2012 recap, and it will be interesting to see who goes through. With mixed reviews from the judges on most of the acts that hit the stage on America’s Got Talent 2012 last night, I’m not sure how the voting will go. We’ll be sharing the results live tonight, so check back for up-to-the-minute information on who gets through on tonight’s America’s Got Talent 2012 recap.

So far on America’s Got Talent 2012, the judges’ reactions have been a good indication of how America will vote. On last night’s episode of America’s Got Talent season 7, however, the judges didn’t agree on many of the acts. Even I was a bit ambivalent about the majority of the acts on the America’s Got Talent 2012 stage last night, so I don’t feel confident in my predictions.

We’ll just have to see how America was feeling last night and hope that the real talent of America’s Got Talent 2012 rises to the top. I hope to see some stronger performances from the acts that go through in the next round of eliminations.

*******************************************************************

Juggler Mike Price, comedian Jacob Williams, and balancing act Cristin Sandu are up first on the stage tonight. Of the three, I have little doubt that comedian Jacob Williams will be the pick. Sandu had a little snafu last night, and Mike Price’s act was rather lackluster and contrived.

As I predicted, it was the comedian who made it through, which makes this recapper very happy. I love this guy’s delivery and self-deprecating style of humor. He’s fabulous, as is his competition Tom Cotter, and I hope to see a comedy act take the show this year.

Judge Howie Mandel decided to sport a rather large sombrero during one of the talent acts tonight, which was the winner of Britain’s Got Talent, a dog and girl act named Ashley and Pudsey. I’m sorry, Britain, but I feel pretty bad for you if this is the example of the best talent you have. It was a girl and her dog. The girl did some basic dance moves, and the dog did a lot of walking around and jumping. They were joined onstage by a bunch of guys in suits, in a finish that… made about as much sense as the act itself. Don’t get me wrong, the dog was well-trained, but it was just that: a well-trained dog, and a girl who looks like she may have taken some dance lessons in grade school.

Requisite backstage footage ensued.

Next to discover their fate tonight is Lightwire Theate , Inspire the Fire, and All Beef Patty. My prediction for these three (and my hope) is the Lightwire Theater, especially since Inspire the Fire was cliche last night and All Beef Patty is growing stale.

Another plug about the Olympics from Howie Mandel squeezed its way in before we could find out the results. Come on, man, no one is going to forget about the Olympics. Enough already.

Lightwire Theater it is! I’m thrilled that the truly talented acts are making it through tonight. I’m impressed with your taste in entertainment this year, America! America’s Got Talent 2012 is really shaping up.

Breakdancer Elusive, dance group The Untouchables, and singer Jake Wesley Rogers take the stage together, and I’m truly not sure which of these are going through. They were all just “okay” for me and all had somewhat mixed reactions.

Oh, are we ready to find out now? Great. The Untouchables takes the place, and I have to say that I’m not very excited about that. I said it last night and I’ll say it again… they’re good for kids. They’re not good enough, in my opinion, to be a Vegas act.

The second entertainment act was someone I’d never heard of before tonight, Australian DJ and singer Havana Brown. Either that means I’ve been living under a rock, or America’s Got Talent 2012 was running short on ideas. The performance started out a tad slow for me, as the beautiful Havana messed around with a DJ turntable, but got much better once she came around the table in her skintight outfit, which was flattering, to say the least. It was an enjoyable performance and a catchy pop dance song.

Who should make it through out of All Wheel Sports, Wordspit and the Illest!, and Spencer Horsman? I’m not a huge fan of any of them, so I’m not really invested. I guess if I had to choose, I’d go with the rap group. At least they have something original going on.

Escape artist Spencer Horsman was the first of the three to leave the stage, leaving it between the music group and the athletic performance team, who both plead their case, eloquently and convincingly.

Just in case we haven’t already waited long enough, the producers decided to give us a preview of next week’s acts before revealing which of the two acts made it through. I have to admit that I’m excited for next week, though! There are quite a few acts that I remember from the previous rounds that I’ll be interested in seeing again.

Howard Stern voted for Wordspit, Howie Mandel voted for All Wheel Sports, and so it’s left up to Sharon Osbourne, who hemmed and hawed but in the end chose All Wheel Sports. I am a bit disappointed with her decision, but we’ll see how they fare in the semifinals.

  1. I thought the judges did great with there four picks to move on to the semi finals. There are a lot of talented people here but only the best can move forward. I think there have been several great episodes with amazing talent.

Wordspit should of gone throught. That was a talented original group. My 10 year old twin daughters can do everything that All Wheel Sports can do and better. Sharon and Howie don’t know true talent. I thought we were looking for talent and originality. I can’ believe a group of cheerleaders won. I would not pay to see a pep rally in Vegas. I hope Howard Stern who is the best judge will bring Wordspit back. The oher winners I thought were right on. I would pay to see a wonderful original show of Wordspit. Please bring them back.

  3. rick sunna says:

Howie and Sharon got it right, Stern was off in left field, Wordspit did just that, spit out an original song, but it wasn’t a great song, lame rap song, overly repetitive chorus, they should buy a song from a good writer. Just another rap band that needs a lot more practise and to boot they don;t have much stage presence, I don’t think they will be an opening act any time soon. Yaboy, All Wheel Sports beat them by miles.

  4. Wordspit should have gone through- they are original to the bone!! They need to be a wild card pick.

    • I really believe that wordspit should have made it through, because they sang an original song and it was a really good song! No disrespect to all wheel sports as i think that they too should have went through but it is really disappointing to see one of the TOP acts go home at this point.
