American Idol judge Randy Jackson, the only original judge still left on the show, says he will always love departing cast mates Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Randy Jackson has still not confirmed whether or not he will return as one of the future American Idol 2013 judges.
“I was friends with them before we hopped on this crazy journey together and I have no doubt our friendships will continue long after. I will love them for life,” American Idol judge Randy Jackson said in a press statement to E!.
American Idol 2012 judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez both officially announced their exit from the show over the past few days. Tyler made his announcement on Thursday, saying he had “strayed too far” from his music and his band, Aerosmith. Lopez said it was just time for her to get back “to doing the other things that you do.”
Jackson said working with American Idol 2012 judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez was a true pleasure. “Steven and Jennifer are truly two of the most talented and consummate professionals I’ve worked with.”
