WARNING: AMERICA’S GOT TALENT 2012 SPOILERS AHEAD!

This post contains America’s Got Talent 2012 spoilers and videos from the live performances on Monday night. Please stop here if you do not want to know what happened!

*******************************************************************

Last week on the first America’s Got Talent 2012 live performances show, some acts shined brightly under the new level of pressure, while others crashed and burned hard. The voters were none too gentle with the first twelve acts to perform live from the Top 48 and many good performers were sent home in tears.

The acts that did get through from the first America’s Got Talent 2012 live performances were all good acts, but I can’t help but think the voters might have put through a few of them primarily on the “cute” factor.

Who will join the America’s Got Talent 2012 winners from last week — The Scott Brothers, David Garibaldi & His CMYK’s, Edon, and Shanice and Maurice Hayes — and move on to the next round from tonight’s live performances? Read on in our America’s Got Talent 2012 recap and let us know who you think has the moves to make it to the Top 12!

LionsDanceMe
Vote: 1-866-602-4801

Judges: Howard Stern gives them congrats for not falling because that must be very hard, but he thinks they keep doing the same thing every week and need to change it up. He thinks America is going to get bored with them (if they haven’t already.) Sharon Osbourne is awed by their strength and amazing timing, but she also thinks they need to spice things up, maybe show off some more martial arts moves. Howie Mandel is basically just bored. He thinks it is the same as last time and they will be in trouble with the judges.

TURF
Vote: 1-866-602-4802

Judges: Sharon Osbourne thinks TURF has major guts and talent and she loves his act and how he uses the stage. He does want to see more of him dancing though. Howie Mandel just can’t figure out how this guy manages to do what he does and can see how much emotion there is in it. He thinks TURF really, really wants it bad. Howard loves TURF, but reminds him not to loose his head, keep it fresh, and watch out for the competition.

The All Ways
Vote: 1-866-602-4803

Judges: Howie Mandel really likes the band but he wants them to stick to more rock music, not be too poppy like their song tonight. He wants just rock and roll out of them. He thinks their song choice could put them in jeopardy. Sharon Osbourne loves their enthusiasm, their 80′s retro band look, and their sound but she is not a fan of the song choice either. She hopes they will get another chance. Howard says he does not want them to perform like a bar band.

Hawley Magic
Vote: 1-866-602-4804

Judges: Howard thinks the best magic act is actually getting out of their parents basement. He says they did a good job, which is an improvement, since he hated them in Vegas. Sharon is not totally thrilled, she wants them to be cooler and younger, not so old style. Howie thinks they are awesome, but agrees that they need to update their performance.

Lisa Clark Dancers
Vote: 1-866-602-4805

Judges: Howie says he was hoping they would dazzle tonight, but it was more like a high school recital than anything else. He thinks it is just not a million dollar act. Sharon thought the music was too old, the dance too cute, and there was not enough edge. Howard does think they are talented, and says the other judges are being too rough on the crew, but he thinks they just can’t compete against the other acts and they won’t go through.

Aurora Light Painters
Vote: 1-866-602-4806

Howie thinks the act has peeked and they don’t have anything else to offer. Even though they were different enough that the judges brought them here, it is not enough for a $1M Vegas act. Howard gives the act an X. He thinks they are unusual and have put in a lot of effort, but there is too much special effect with no story behind it. He doesn’t think the voters will get them and they won’t move to the next round. Sharon believes the act has an interesting vision, but she just doesn’t think it is enough.

Danielle Stallings
Vote: 1-866-602-4807

Judges: Howard thinks Danielle was totally memorable and she should be very proud of her performance. Sharon says Danielle’s voice just doesn’t quit and everyone has to love her. She also thinks it is refreshing that she dresses and looks her age. Howie says Danielle is beautiful and he thinks she is outstanding, just like his followers on Twitter say she is.

Donovan & Rebecca
1-866-602-4808

Judges: Sharon loves that every time she sees them perform, they are doing something different. She hopes the voters can see how difficult what they do is, how perfect they were and how strong they are. Howie believes they are totally great performers and he loves when Rebecca kissed Donovan. Howard is amazed by the act and he loves it when Rebecca lifts Donovan (which is stunning). He tells them bravo! He thinks America will put them through.

Big Barry
Vote: 1-866-602-4809

Judges: Howie says if Bob Dylan and the Easter Bunny had a baby it would be Big Barry. He acknowledges that Barry has no singing voice, but he thinks the novelty act is great and memorable. Howard is totally offended that Barry is in the competition at all. He gets all up on Howie, telling him there were a lot of great people that were let go that should have had Barry’s place. He says Barry has absolutely no talent and it is offensive he is on stage. Sharon syas Barry sings like he is sitting on a toilet. Howard wants an apology for this guy being on the show.

Tom Cotter
Vote: 1-866-602-4810

Judges: Howard thinks Tom has it down and knows how to win a crowd. Sharon says Tom’s timing is just perfect and his jokes are funny and original. She hopes he will make the finals. Howie knows what the pressure is like and Tom never shows it. He is really a true professional and Howie hopes he makes it through.

Ben Blaque
Vote: 1-866-602-4811

Judges: Sharon says the act kept everyone at the edge of their seats and it was very good. Howard has been a fan of the act from the start and whines again about how they should have more acts like this, not like Big Barry. Howie also thinks they are a great act and he loved it.

Tim Hockenberry
Vote: 1-866-602-4812

Judges: Howie says Tim’s voice is haunting, emotive and he is phenomenal. He could possibly be the winner of this whole thing. Sharon loves the emotion in his voice and thinks he is amazing. She believes America will vote him through. Howard says Tim is his favorite singer, but he did not like his performance as much this time as he did the previous two times. He does hope Tim makes it through to the next round.

  1. I cannot stand Howie..I agree 100% with Howard that a spot was wasted on Big Daddy and that good talent was sent home…Howie is the most arrogant judge I’ve seen..he thinks he’s all” that”..you gotta be a moron to follow him on his twitter..

  2. Collin G says:

I think that Donovan and Rebecca, Tom Cotter and Tim Hockenberry make it to the next round, with Turf outlasting Ben Blaque in the judges’ choice. However, I must admit that I became a huge Howard fan when he rightfully called out Howie. Kudos to him for telling it like it is.

I recently wrote a blog post about this quarterfinal. http://twentyfoursports.blogspot.com/2012/07/americas-got-talent-quarterfinal-2.html

  3. This is the worse year of the show. What happen the talent is the worse.
