Jessica Sanchez has sung the National Anthem at the Pacquiao vs Bradley fight and during the 2012 NBA Finals, she performed on The Today Show and is about to kick off the 2012 American Idols Live Tour on July 6. With all that going on, it was overlooked by the fact that Jessica Sanchez has yet to sign a record deal…until now! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica Sanchez has signed a deal with Interscope Records.
The American Idol 2012 runner-up may have signed her record deal late, but Jessica Sanchez is getting right on track with her new album. Sanchez is already in the recording studio and her album is expected to be released in October. If you fell in love with Jessica Sanchez during her time on American Idol 2012 singing the Whitney Houston power ballads, don’t expect that on the American Idol 2012 runner-up’s album. The Hollywood Reporter said the album will carry an “urban flavor” and don’t expect it to be like her performances on American Idol 2012.
Jessica Sanchez is wanting her album to be more R&B then just all pop…can you say Jordin Sparks? American Idol 2012 runner-up Sanchez recently told MTV, ”I want to do pop, but, like, just a sprinkle of it, not a whole bucket.” This all comes with that fact that Sanchez’s dream collaborator is none other than Eminem (shocking, right)? About a collaboration with Eminem, Jessica Sanchez said: “He has so much conviction and emotion in the way he raps; every word that he raps, you feel it. And I think our talents would mesh. So, hopefully, it could happen, and I would just die if he’d collaborate with me!” Keep an eye out for Jessica’s album…will you buy it?
