We have just a little less than two weeks left before the Big Brother 14 premiere! The rumor mill has gone wild with some intriguing, crazy, and just plain boring, possible scenarios for Big Brother 14. Fans can only wait with excitement, and fear, for what the Big Brother 2012 producers have planned for the Big Brother 14 cast and viewers.
There are a couple of major Big Brother 14 spoilers rumors circulating that seem to be gaining momentum. Though, fans generally seem not interested in seeing returning contestants, the major rumor is that veterans are returning to the house as mentors. We mentioned this earlier in the week, but new information has developed about this rumor.
A couple of days ago, a few of the more reliable Big Brother 14 sources starting saying the mentor rumor is true. And here are some more details about it:
The four surprises promised on the season premiere of Big Brother 14 are allegedly the four chosen mentors. They will allegedly be Dan Gheesling, Rachel Reilly, Janelle Pierzina and Mike “Boogie” Malin. All four will choose the people they want to mentor in a pick teams playground manner. Each mentor is being paid $20,000 for their participation in the house. The mentors will be there as long as they have people to mentor. Once they run out of mentees they will have to leave the house. However, if their mentee wins the grand prize they can win $100,000.
This is not the only surprise Big Brother 14 promises, but this is the major one. Before hearing the full rumor details, I wasn’t excited about seeing returning housemates, because every time they’re on the show they seem to overpower the newbies. The veterans get most of the screen time and it turns into a war against new vs. old. I do like this mentor idea, because this way the new contestants will get enough focus, and still CBS can use the veterans to bring in more ratings. And they chose wisely with their picks for mentors.
The four chosen are some of the best players in Big Brother history. Three out of the four won their seasons. I’m really excited to see three of the HouseGuests again, because they’re some of my personal favorites, and the other one is always interesting to watch. All four are doing their best to pretend this rumor is not true, so this makes it all the more suspicious. Guess we’ll have to wait for the Big Brother 14 premiere to see if Rachel, Dan, Boogie and Janelle really do return to the house.
Overall, if this Big Brother 14 spoilers rumor proves true it could really heighten the Big Brother game, as long as there is a balance of who gets airtime, and there is no twist within the twist where veterans become contestants. Besides their advice giving skills, I’m also interested to see how the veterans get along with other veterans. I can just imagine Janelle and Rachel will have some major collisions.
Darn- I was so hoping Dr Will would be one of them. Only one I am excited about is Dan… I loved Dan… hate Janelle both times…. barely tolerated Boogie because he was Will’s buddy and Rachel has been on too much
I am actually excited about this. Aside from Rachel who I was never a fan of, it might not be as bad considering Brendan wont be on with her, which is the main reason she gets whiny and annoying. Im excited to see Janelle and Boogie because they really are the most exciting to watch, especially if Rachel and Janelle get in cat fights. I could care less about Dan also. Everyone always says theyre not going to watch and they always end up tuning in every week.
I will NOT watch if Rachel is back. She’s already ruined 2 seasons of BB and one season of TAR for me. It won’t happen a 4th time.
I DO NOT LIKE THIS IDEA. I’m sorry but if 4 mentors have multiple houseguests to mentor then the house will be divided from the beginning and it won’t be the houseguests doing the dividing. Each mentor will have their own little alliance going on. I understand that the mentors would not actually be playing the game, but still if there is a chance they could win money if one of their mentees wins the game you can bet your ass that they will be forming up and trying to get their people to work together.
i dont like rachel or boogie at all…now i wouldnt mind seeing howie agian but rachel – oh lord…cant wait to see who the cast members are.
Well rachel and janelle are my favorite. and I think THOSE TWO ARE FAR THE BEST. JUST GLAD YOU ROBIN aren’t in Big Brother cause you would be kicked off immediately.

I am looking forward to this season & most of you don’t even have your facts straight. Did you READ what the whole mentor thing is about? And yes three out of the four WON with Janelle being the exception & as far as Dan riding coat tails….are you kidding me? Who’s coat tails? Renny’s? Jerry’s? Dan took more flack in that house & pulled through when he needed to. If anyone should have had their spotlight taken it was Memphis. He didn’t deserve second place, Keesha did.
If this is true I imagine a lot of people will not watch. I didnt even watch amazing race this year because rachel was on it. Enough already!
Hey rachel and brendan were the BEST ON AMAZING RACE AND ARE THE BEST ON BB. I have been in charge of the Big Brother office pool for 4 years now. If they bring back any prior house guests I won’t be watching. Someone else can take over the pool…..Rachel makes me sick!! Already had to put up with her on The Amazing Race…enough is enough!!!!

I’ve been watching since the feeds were free on aol, it used to b interesting to watch strangers work their way through the house.. But it seems the producers think we like to see old faces, personally I don’t! This there will be no “showtime too” ,or live feeds for me for the first time, IM SICK OF RACHEL AND DON’T LIKE BOOGIE, JANELLE WAS A GREAT PLAYER, DAN RODE COATTAILS.. SO think I’m done..to bad they don’t go back to the beginning and try the original way the game was played..it’s getting old watching old players..feel bad if this is the case and people get chosen by rachel, they will have huge targets on their backs, especially if she picks cryers like her!!!will watch first show this season, but if this is true, I’m done!! It’s a shame, cause this is the only reality show I watch…

I have been a BB FAN since the beginning. I have attended cast parties, etc. Janelle and Rachel act like spoiled brats and gifts to the world. I can give them credit for winning comps but watching them in 14 if the rumor is true will ruin it for me. Janelle is an attention seeking girl (trying to keep it clean). She shake her purchased assets for her newborn to see. It all changes, and she’s played twice and Rachel for a third time. Good god, I know tv likes trainwrecks but this would really push MOST over the line and if she doesn’t have a babysitter and someone to show her how to act, she will be a miserable stripper coach. Why can people not just compete? Let them learn like everyone else did. How did we get through 13 seasons without a coach? Easy, they figure it out and chips fall where they may good or bad. Great season or not so great. Mike boogie is probably printing self promoting tees for his business right now. And aren’t Jeff and Jordan the ratings kings. Play on their own and make it their own game. I for one will be very saddened by a decision to bring these people back. Get a job Rachel! Get a life. Reality tv is not a career though it may be all you have left.

This is the worst idea in the history of Big Brother. I’d rather America’s Player than this nonsense. This mixing of new versus old is absurd. I’d actually rather these four just come back into the game and play normally than have them mentor their contestants. How silly and lame is this? Rachel in that house for three years in a row? Are they serious? And there can’t be seventeen people or the teams wouldn’t be even. Why is it that Survivor can give us brand new contestants twice a year with more people per cast but Big Brother can’t even do it once a year?
