We have finally arrived to the moment everyone has been saying needs to happen on Duets TV Show 2012…the voting is now in the hands you America…how will you handle this pressure? Tonight on Duets TV Show 2012, the Superstars (Robin Thicke,John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Nettles) join their Duets 2012 partners onstage and take on songs from the 2000s. It’s live tonight on Duets 2012 on ABC and I think they will pull out all the stops to make this a big show. The Top 5 will take the stage tonight on Duets TV Show 2012 singing songs from this millennium…don’t let me down Duets TV Show 2012.
The Superstars kick off the live show of Duets TV Show 2012, as Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles, John Legend and Robin Thicke take on “Freedom” by George Michael. Great start to Duets 2012 and Kelly is looking good as a blonde, right?
Up first tonight is John Glosson, as he joins Jennifer Nettles on the stage to sing “When You Say You Love Me” by Josh Groban. After a look back at John’s visit home, John and Jennifer take the Duets 2012 stage and it is amazing. He can hold a note so well and they sound amazing together, right? Kelly Clarkson said I’m not shocked you did amazing…it was beautiful. Robin Thicke said it was the perfect song for you. John Legend said your voice sounded magnificent…it felt a little syrupy to me.
Time for Olivia Chisholm to take the Duets TV Show 2012 stage for Team Robin. They will be taking on the Lady Antebellum hit “Need You Now.” Well, if you can look past the sexy legs on Olivia, then you start to focus on the singing. I am not a fan of Robin Thicke. I don’t think he makes a good Duets 2012 partner. His voice does not blend well with Olivia’s, even though I do enjoy her. John said it was kind of cool to have you guys sing some country tonight. Kelly said you were pretty pitchy throughout the song and I love the song choice. Jennifer said you showed your diversity with the song choice.
Jason Farol is taking the stage now and representing Team Kelly on Duets TV Show 2012. He has been in the bottom three a lot on Duets 2012, so does he deserve to still be here? They will be singing “Mercy” by Duffy tonight and oh my, Jason owned that stage tonight. There were no nerves and he totally worked it out. I loved this performance. He looked great. Kelly looked great and it was fun to watch! Jennifer Nettles said I love seeing you let loose and the teenage girls are going to love you. Robin Thicke said you did a great job and couldn’t take his eyes off Kelly. John Legend said sometimes when you dance it doesn’t feel natural, but I liked it.
Next up we have Bridget Carrington, as she takes the stage with John Legend to represent Team John on Duets 2012. They will be singing “Halo” by Beyonce…this could be amazing! She looked amazing in her white dress and this girl can sing. Taking on Beyonce is a feat on it’s own, but she held her own…I loved it! Robin said it was very nice and you got better as it went along. Jennifer said it was wonderful and I loved that I could hear your voice at the top. Kelly said I loved it and such a great choice for the song.
Last up for the night on Duets TV Show 2012 before the voting lines open is J Rome, who takes the stage with Jennifer Nettles. Did we save the best for last tonight? Jennifer said he just has to focus on being himself tonight and that will be a winning performance. They will be singing “Without You” by David Guetta and Usher. This is a huge dance hit, so J Rome is speeding it up tonight! Okay, so it was fun and Jennifer is so fun to watch. I did enjoy it and it showed a different side of J Rome…I still love him singing ballads though. John Legend said it was one of your weaker performances, but you belong up there. Robin Thicke said Jennifer is dropping it like it’s hot. Kelly Clarkson said you are so ridiculous and I can’t wait to come to your concerts.

Duets is an interesting take on Dancing with the Stars meets American Idol. I did enjoy the show though and plan on watching the rest of the season. I’ve come to the conclusion that I just have to watch the show a little longer to really come up with a favorite.
Loved the show. I think , just like “idol” people think that the most talented is going to win … and its almost never that way. I’m usually pretty good at predicting the winner on these shows long before the finales. And what you generally find in these shows is that, the audiences and the judges pick differently. The judges are generally really good at picking the best talents of the groups for the shows… and almost always the viewers vote against the judges. If the judges rave about a talent, people think that talent is safe and don’t vote for that person that much because they think its in the bag (until they realize that that person may be in jeopardy). They seem to always be surprised to find the singer who is the best, in the bottom. Its funny to me because, when that happens folks always think the show is rigged, Buts its not. Its just that when people think someone is safe they don’t vote as much and the talent they think the judges have given a raw deal too (who should have went) always ends up going further because that persons fan base sees to it that it happens. This is a new show so I’m not sure how this will work BUT if its works like the others, just remember J. Rome is the judges favorite (and to me is the best) … the person who everyone think is a “shoe in”. The people who the judges haven’t favored as much are Olivia Chisolm and Jason Farol. Just remember, whether you think they are the best or not, its their fan clubs that keep them in …not their talent. Picking the best talent is easy, Picking who will win is a whole new story. I don;t have this show down pat yet …but I think we’ll all be surprised at who goes further and who goes home and i think it has nothing to do with talent. I will say this though, John Glosson is awesome (always in the top) and obviously a much more fine tuned singer than Jason…but do you really think that John can get a bigger voting fan base among the viewers than Jason. Are the teen age girls who vote the most in theses shows (on the most phones) going to vote for John?. Alls I’m saying is … its not just about talent so don’t be surprised how this goes.
I was trying to vote last night and it was busy for 18 min. Then I got thru only to hear that my area,Rochester,n.y. Was closed. What is this??????? I went on line and couldn’t find where to vote.Poor planning?”???????????
I got a busy signal for a minute or two but did get through after that (on the West Coast). It said I could only vote 5 times at each place (phone, Facebook, abc.com) but I got 10 or 15 phone votes on the phone before Robin Thicke (at least it sounded like they were using his voice for everything) told me my phone number was maxed out, while the other two did limit me to 5.
