American Idol 2012 winner Phillip Phillips had his much-needed kidney surgery on June 7 to deal with an overabundance of huge kidney stones caused by a genetic disorder, as reported right here, and he went to his Twitter account to show his love to his fans. Phillip Phillips, recovering at an American Idol 2012 executive’s mansion in Los Angeles, sent a tweet to his fans thanks them for their support: “It means a lot to my family and I. I’m just resting and healing.” Phillips went on to say that he’s ”ready to be able to pick the guitar back up and really play, it’s been too long.”
During American Idol 2012, Phillip Phillips endured eight surgeries for the kidney stone issues, including a stent being placed in one to ease the pain. The surgery went well and obviously from his tweet, Phillips is doing well and ready to get back to performing music. The American Idols Live 2012 Tour is set to kick-off on July 6 in Detroit and Phillip Phillips is said to be recovered by then to join the other Top 10 members on the road! That is exciting news for any ticketholders!

God Bless Philip, this kid has worked hard and being sick to boot… I have prayed for good health for him.. He did a fabulous job on American Idol.. I understand why he won.. Ive read some terrible comments however, It wasnt just kids voteing for Philip.. Most of the people I have talked to are older and some retired… Men , women and boys and girls voted for him.. I for one Love it as it says we in American LOVE ALOT OF DIFFERENT MUSIC.. His reminds me of CCR, Bruce Springstein, John Mayer, Eric Clapton.. etc… They dont all have voices that they can screem high and low HOWEVER, they all can sing.. AND I LOVE IT……. Ive bought all of the itunes of Philip… Because when his album comes out, they wont be on there and I will then buy his album….
Casey James and Haley Reinhart… Ive bought there albums… and itunes.. they were totaly different from Phiilip but I loved them also…..
Glad to hear Phil is recovering love and prayers to him he was fabulous on idol. My son had a kidney transplant two years ago and is doing great ! He was 26 then so when I heard about Phil having kidney problems I felt terrible. So glad he will be on the idol tour I have bought three of his songs on I tunes enjoy the tour
