Duets TV Show 2012 is airing on a special night and time tonight, as we head into another week of the Superstars (Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles, John Legend and Robin Thicke) taking the stage with their Duets 2012 partners. We saw our first amateur singer (Alexis Foster) eliminated last week and another one will be saying goodbye tonight on Duets TV Show 2012.
With things starting to pick up speed now on Duets TV Show 2012, the songs will be following in the same tune, as the theme this week is Party Songs! Put on your dancing shoes, because things are about to go down in here!

******************************************************************************
Up first tonight is Jason Farol, who was in the bottom two last week on Duets TV Show 2012. Kelly Clarkson and Jason take a look back at last week’s performance and Kelly notices some pitchy parts. Tonight, they will be singing Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones. Kelly wants him to dance and get more comfortable on stage. I enjoyed it and got goosebumps. Jason seemed much more confident, as he was working the stage and the crowd. I loved the tone he used and their rendition of the song. Jennifer Nettles said that was his best performance of this season so far. John Legend said this was his most effective vocal performance so far…definitely a lot of progress. Robin said definitely your best performance of the season….your nerves are going away. So of course, after one performance the standings are: Jason Farol!
Up next is Bridget Carrington, who will be singing Last Dance by Donna Summer, with John Legend. John says he is missing that emotional connection with his partners and he can’t get any tears, like Jennifer Nettles. It starts out great, as they showed some major emotions…I love it. They ended on a great note, but it was kind of just blah to me in between. Nothing too over-the-top for me. Kelly said I loved the two of you together, but I want to see more of you perform to us, not to John. Jennifer Nettles said it was really great…you are so confident up there. Robin said you have so much passion, but I did want to see that next level of fun. The new standings: Bridget Carrington and Jason Farol.
J Rome is up next and he will be singing P.Y.T. by Michael Jackson with Jennifer Nettles. J Rome wants to show a more fun side after bringing everyone to tears last week! Did we just see the winner of Duets TV Show 2012 perform??? This was awesome…J Rome has great vocals and he put on a great show…dance moves and he owned this song! Kelly Clarkson said I love J Rome, but it looked like you were impersonating Michael Jackson that performance. Robin Thicke said I think this show is your stepping stone to starting you career in the music business. John Legend said vocally it was a little nasal, but you are awesome. New standings: J Rome, Bridget Carrington and Jason Farol.
Now it is time for Team Robin, as Olivia Chisholm takes the stage with Robin Thicke on Duets 2012 singing Let’s Stay Together by Al Green. In honor of trying to stay in the competition, Robin chose this song. I think Olivia has a great voice…does it blend well with Robin’s? I don’t think so…do you agree? You gotta focus on her voice and I love it! John said you are great when sounding smooth, but it needs more strength to compliment the voice. Jennifer said I would love to see more of that energy from last week…you have a smooth, smooth tone. New standings: J Rome, Bridget Carrington, Jason Farol and Olivia Chisholm.
Next up is Team Kelly again, as Jordan Meredith and Kelly Clarkson take the stage singing I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett. If she can keep up that confidence from last week, Jordan will knock this song out of the park! The energy seems gone for Jordan, as she sang great, but seemed very laid back. She seemed to be slow in the heels…go back to barefoot like you were last week girl! Jennifer Nettles said she felt some of the nervousness, but their were moments where you burst out. Robin Thicke said this week he didn’t feel any angry or tension, but he did miss the sultry she threw at him last week. John Legend said he thinks she should go barefoot every week. New standings: J Rome, Bridget Carrington, Jordan Meredith, Jason Farol and Olivia Chisholm.
Next up is Team John, as Meleana Brown and John Legend take a big risk, as they sing Since U Been Gone by our Superstar Kelly Clarkson. To me, this is a song you should not take on…Kelly does it justice and it is so hard to stand up against. Meleana is not a rocker and either is John, so this one was a little rough for me. They work the crowd, but I just want to hear Kelly sing it! Kelly said that is ballsy because that is a hard song…you were pitchy at times, but you performed the hell out of it. Jennifer said you really had the energy. Robin said it is a little weird hearing John Legend singing Since U Been Gone, but you did great. New standings: J Rome, Bridget Carrington, Jordan Meredith, Jason Farol, Meleana Brown and Olivia Chisholm.
Last performance of the night on Duets TV Show 2012 is Team Jennifer. John Glosson and Jennifer Nettles take the stage singing Life Is A Highway by Rascal Flatts. John is definitely a ballad singer, so this should be fun to watch. And I loved it…John has such great vocals. Jennifer and him had so much fun up there, but they also had great vocals…so good! Kelly said Jennifer picked the perfect song for you to sing and I felt you during that performance. Robin said your voice is so good you don’t have to try so much physically…I would come to hear you sing alone everytime. John Legend said I thought you were great.
The final standings tonight for Duets TV Show 2012 are:
- J Rome
- Bridget Carrington
- John Glosson
- Jordan Meredith
- Jason Farol
- Meleana Brown
- Olivia Chisholm
That means, that Meleana Brown and Olivia Chisholm will be singing for their lives to stay one more week on Duets 2012. Up first is Meleana, as she sings Saving All My Love For You by Whitney Houston. She does work it out and this girl can sing a ballad, even Whitney. Olivia is next, as she sings I Can’t Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt. I think she does good and has moments that rocked, but I think Meleana might have been a little better, but can they send both of Robin’s partners home the first two weeks???
After the Superstars vote, the person leaving us tonight is Meleana Brown, so Olivia and Team Robin live on for at least one more week! Tune in next week for even more performances!

Have you guys even figured out what to do once your “superstars” have no amateurs left,
or are you just winging it?
I think Olivia Chisholm should sing some of Sade’s songs she has that soft sweet voice.
1st, “life is a highway” is by tom cochrane (former lead singer for red rider of “lunatic fringe” fame), though rascal flats did cover it otherwise, i pretty much agree…i kinda think olivia should have gone, but then what happens to robin? which is one of the things i keep wondering about…what happens if a “superstar” does end up with both amateurs leaving? and you wanna bet that when fans start voting anyone from kelly’s team will end up on top?
Burning.
That’s a great question. What happens when a superstar has no amateurs left. Do they just hang out in the lounge with a brewski and vote on everyone else?
Oh Man. You guys messed up BAD last night. Not to quote Michael Jackson or anything.
You sent the WRONG girl home. What’s wrong with you?????
Olivia is like a delicate flower, a genie in a bottle with no range and there is NO, I mean NO
power in her voice.
You guys are the superstars and I’m very disappointed in the one’s who kept her. Robin, I already know you’re one of them.
