The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 4: Episode 7 Recap – True Love, True Lies

In this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey 2012, wedding bells will ring and drama will ensue after Caroline Manzo reads a tabloid revealing more of Teresa Giudice’s thoughts about her. Melissa Gorga hosts a shore house beach party, and Joe Gorga attempts to make peace with Teresa once more.

In Chicago, Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline are preparing for the wedding when they stumble upon an In Touch Magazine with Teresa on the cover. Inside, statements from Teresa allege that Caroline, Melissa, Kathy Wakile, and Kim G. have all bullied her in-one-way-or-another for “being broke.”

Outraged at the accusations, Caroline and Jacqueline assert that Teresa’s article is brimming with lies and that they never bullied her. Caroline and family officially affirm Teresa’s delusion, and toast to taking the high road.

In Teresa’s hotel room, the mood isn’t much better. Joe Giudice is refusing to wake up and attend the wedding citing, its invalidity. But, Teresa and Joe must get ready because they’ve promised to meet Jacqueline and Chris Manzo in their hotel room prior to the wedding. Back in Jacqueline’s room, she ponders whether to confront Teresa about the article or not. Ultimately, she decides that she will question her about it, and upon doing so, receives immediate and expected denial from Teresa.

Like Kathy, Melissa now has a new shore house and intends to have a party. While preparing huge vodka-filled vats, in pops Kathy and Joe with copies of the now infamous In Touch Magazine. The girls begin examining it and question Teresa’s motives and state of finances.

Caroline, Jacqueline, Teresa and families head to the wedding in their posh hats and dainty outfits. Teresa attempts to make conversation, but really just makes awkward silence, until Chris announces the addition of some wine company to his portfolio. He informs that group that he will be taking a trip to Napa, and surprisingly invites everyone –Teresa and Joe, included.

The group finally arrives at the splendid wedding, where they mingle with guests, and prepare for the ceremony. The grooms arrive via horse and carriage, and the tears begin to flow. Not only are the wedding vows super-emotional, but Caroline’s speech is elegant and well delivered as well. As Teresa puts it, it’s “the ultimate gay extravaganza!”

Back in New Jersey, Melissa and Joe’s party is well under way as Joe drunkenly plays Melissa’s new song – it’s not good. After dancing to the drone, Joe and Rich Wakile discuss Teresa’s disregard for Joe’s heartfelt text message sent last episode. It seems that Joe is genuinely ready to hash out his family problems, so sends Teresa another (more heartfelt) text message, with Rich as his witness.

Meanwhile, in Chicago the wedding guests chow down, and Teresa announces to a disinterested table that her book is on the New York Times Bestseller list. Caroline and Jacqueline look at each other in annoyance as Joe makes more inappropriate comments.

Now, Melissa’s shore house party is in full swing. The adults are sufficiently drunk and acting like children – jumping in a pool and fighting with whipped cream and garden hoses. Rich expresses relief over Teresa and Joe’s absence as Joe runs full speed into a pool and covered with whipped cream.

Back to the wedding: Jacqueline and Teresa are walking through the garden when Teresa receives the text from Joe. Despite all of Joe’s sincerity, Teresa continues to deny needing therapy while simultaneously shifting blame. Jacqueline tries to tell Teresa for the billionth time that she should have more of an open mind and acknowledge her true feelings.

The wedding and Real Housewives of New Jersey 2012 episode conclude with a ceremonious balloon peace send-off and toast – as everyone reflects, and fireworks explode in the sky.
