Most of the women on The Choice TV show  just seemed awkward and unsure of how to impress the celebrities. Most  of them reverted to talking about their physical assets, and less about their personality. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of a blind dating show?

Some of the standout contestants  on tonight’s episode of The Choice TV show were:

Rachel, aka Taylor Swift, talked about how she loved her grandmother and played with her hair a lot. If Taylor Swift and Kristen Stewart had a baby girl, Rachel would be the result. You could tell she really loved Jeremy Bloom, like it wouldn’t surprise me if she has pictures of him hanging up in her room.

After giving her plea for a date, Jason Cook and Jeremy Bloom turned around. She admitted she read information about Jeremy Bloom and catered her speech to him. After given the choice to pick between the two men, shocker, she picked Jeremy Bloom.

Another standout was Elyse. The audience began screaming for her before she said one word. Then, of course, most of the men turned around for her. Just seeing her, and hearing her speak viewers could tell she was casted with Pauly D in mind. Romeo teased Pauly D the minute he started making his speech for her to pick him, by asking if he remembered her name. Of course, Pauly D did not. Elyse said she preferred a man to know her name (who doesn’t?), but she went with, shocker, Pauly D.

The next contestant to really capture attention was Kitty-Kick-Butt, aka Ashley. Ashley managed to out weird Taylor Swift, Rachel, and no one turned for her. She shouldn’t worry about having a celebrity pick her, I’m sure her cats really love her.

Another girl to get a lot of screams for not really saying anything was Nia. The minute she came out the crowd went wild. Romeo even turned before she said a word. After she described herself more, most of the men turned their chairs. Jason Cook and her seemed to have an immediate bond, or sexual tension, and she picked him.

By the end of round one, Pauly D was the only one left needing a final girl. He had to choose between a girl with a stripper pole and — well does it really matter? She mentioned stripper pole! Of course, Pauly D was going to pick her. Her name was Alyssa, but does that even matter? Stripper pole!

Round two got even more weird, as the remaining contestants had mini dates with the celebrities. It became more apparent which girl each guy was going to choose after this round.

Jason Cook and Nia had little to say to one another, but Jason seemed sold on her from minute one.

Pauly D and Elyse pretty much the same. They kind of seemed like a match made in tan heaven.

Jeremy had the most fun asking the women questions. Some of his questions including asking a woman  how she would milk a cow.  He continued to be charmed by  Rachel, despite her not really being charming. My guess is Jeremy just secretly has a crush on Taylor Swift.

Romeo seemed to not like being questioned. Not a fan of aggressive women?

By the final round the original three on each team was narrowed down to two.

The show then really went pageant like and had the final two contestants on each team answer one question that the men submitted.

These were the questions and results:

Romeo’s question: “Most impressive thing you’ve done for love?”

After some actually heartfelt answers he picked model Lisa.

Jeremy’s question: “Most adventurous thing you’ve done?”

Both gave really boring answers, but Jeremy loved Rachel from the beginning, and accurately, called her Taylor Swift, and picked her. Does Taylor Swift ever not get the guy? Can’t wait for Rachel to follow in Taylor’s footsteps and write a song about her date with Jeremy.

Jason’s question: “If he had his heartbroken, what would she prescribe to make him feel better?”

The best moment of the whole show came when Nia said “I prescribe some coffee for your cream” and then Annapura (second finalist), completely lost to what was said before she came out, said she prescribe lots of chocolate.Everyone in the studio lost it. As predicted, Jason picked Nia.

Pauly D’s question: “Can men and women be friends?”

Both women stumbled with their answers, but shocker, Pauly D picked Elyse. He even said if you look up his type in the dictionary she be it.

The first episode of The Choice Dating Show 2012 was more interesting than I expected. The blending of The Voice and pageants make for a really strange combination, but kind of interesting?

The Choice dating show 2012 does seem like it has too much going on, and the contestants, mainly, seem really cringe worthy to watch compete. But for the little fun moments, and comments it might be worth turning into each week. If not only for the always fun host Cat Deeley, who shows you can be a great host and have a personality.
