Check out my The Voice season 5 live recap of last night’s performances right here! The Voice - Season 5I am so excited for tonight’s finale of The Voice season 5, two of my favorites have made it into the top 3 on The Voice 2013 though and only one of them can win. All of the artists have a chance at winning, based on vocal performances I think that it will come down to Tessanne Chin or Will Champlin, but Jacquie Lee definitely has a pretty big following. It is anybody’s game, but we are going to find out tonight who won The Voice season 5, don’t miss it! Keep reading for the elimination results for The Voice season 5 season finale!

We start tonight’s episode of The Voice season 5 with a performance from the top 20 on The Voice 2013 of “Tonight Is The Night” by Outasight. This is a really cool performance, just because we get to see the top 20 all together and I’m sitting here wondering how some of them didn’t make it. I can’t wait to hear who the winner is! Who do you think it will be?

Jacquie’s bring back performance is with Matthew Schuler, Caroline Pennell, Cole Vosbury and James Wolpert of “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. This was a fun performance to watch, to see them perform from the stage and then the crowd and then back on stage and finishing in the crowd, just awesome.

Tessanne is now getting an opportunity to sing with one of her idols, Celine Dion and they are singing her hit single “Love Can Move Mountains” and all I can say is wow! Tessanne was really emotional in a video clip showing her reaction to learning that she was going to have the chance to perform with her. She admitted in the clip that she has always looked up to her. Epic performance!

OneRepublic is now performing their new single “I Lived” and don’t forget that tonight when the winner is announced they will sing an original song written by Ryan Tedder himself! I am getting more and more excited for the end of the show and finding out who won The Voice season 5!! I have to say, I love this song too, one of my favorites!

Ray Boudreaux, Matthew Schuler, Josh LoganPreston Poole and Nik Hawk singing “Treasure” by Bruno Mars. This is a great performance too, they really have had great songs for these performances tonight. There are still many more performances coming too, can’t wait to see what other amazing performances they have in store for us!

Will is bringing back Jonny Gray, Cole Vosbury, Caroline Pennell and Austin Jenckes for his bring back performance. They are performing “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker, this was an interesting combination of voices for this performance, but it worked and sounded pretty great.

Jacquie is now joining Paramore on stage with their new single “Ain’t It Fun” and this is a really good performance except for the fact that the lead singer of Paramore is dancing and Jacquie, well, yea. Vocally, it was amazing and I guess that is all that matters.

Tamara Chauniece, Kat Robichaud, Stephanie Johnson, Grey, Shelbie Z and Amber Nicole are now singing “My Life Would Suck Without You” by Kelly Clarkson. I have to say that I am glad to see a few of them back on The Voice season 5 stage, I really wish that Kat made it further in the competition, she was one of my early favorites.

We are now taking a look at the outing that the Top 3 on The Voice had to Universal Studios and just like last year, the finalists got brand new cars. Just like last year, there is a finalist that doesn’t have a license to drive yet. We are now looking at their final The Voice season 5 confessionals, these are a little less funny, more emotional for them this time around.

Celine Dion and Ne-Yo are now on the stage with their new collaboration single “Incredible” and it isn’t what I expected, that’s for sure. Their voices actually work really well together and I wasn’t expecting them to compliment each other that well. I really like this song.

Will is now singing with Aloe Blacc and they are singing “Wake Me Up” and I have become a huge fan of this song, everyone has sung it on these shows. I guess you can say it grew on me, but I really like this performance and this rendition of the song. When we come back from this commercial break we will see who Tessanne chose to bring back and what they will be singing!

Tessanne decided to perform “Hold On I’m Coming” by Drake and she brought back James Wolpert, Preston Poole, Olivia Henken and Grey. This was an awesome performance, I’m not a huge fan of Drake, but their rendition of this song was absolutely amazing. I really think that Tessanne is going to win tonight, as Adam said last night, there is no ceiling to her voice and if there is, we can’t find it!

Lady Gaga is now taking the stage and singing her hit single “Do What You Want” with Christina Aguilera and this was a really good performance! I have to ask what is up with the pleather outfits on these two, then again, it is Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera! You would never know that this is was the first time the two of them have ever met! After the commercial break we are going to find out who the winner of The Voice season 5 is!

Are we ready? It is the moment of truth, we are about to find out who the winner of The Voice season 5 is!!!

WINNER: Tessanne Chin!!!!

She now gets to debut her first song written by Ryan Tedder called “Tumbling Down”!!!!

  1. Joy D'Angelo says:

I didn’t follow The Voice too closely after I saw Tessanne Chin’s audition. She is extremely talented and deserving, but more importantly, after last season’s Judith Hill debacle I knew she would win. The producers were mad that Judith was eliminated – especially Carson. The two were so similar than there was no way she was going to lose. She made up for Judith not winning.
