President Obama Calls Kanye West a Jackass
Once again proving that Twitter is a dangerous tool, the whole world now knows President Barack Obama thinks Kanye West is a jackass for interrupting Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech at the VMAs. ABC News reporter Terry Moran slipped up on Monday by posting an “off-the-record” comment from Obama on his Twitter feed regarding the Kanye West – Taylor Swift MTV Video Music Awards incident and quickly found himself in hot water.

Monday night, while reporting on remarks by President Obama for a CNBC interview, Terry Moran posted to his Twitter feed: “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.” The impulsive Tweet went out to over a million followers and was rapidly reTweeted across the Net.
The post was deleted only a short time later, but the cat was already out of the bag. An ABC spokesperson later explained to Politico.com that the Kayne West jackass remark was not supposed to be repeated. Obama’s bash of Kayne West was part of an “off-the-record” portion of the interview and Terry Moran apparently failed to get that memo.
ABC has apologized to the White House and CNBC for letting Obama’s opinion of Kanye West leak to the public and says it is “taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.” We’re thinking Mr. Moran won’t be sitting in on any more Presidential interviews for a while…
Obama isn’t the first celebrity to bash Kanye over the Taylor Swift VMAs insult, but nobody much cares if Kelly Clarkston thinks Kanye is a “piece of shit.” The President, on the other hand… Should the POTUS be allowed to express his opinion, even if crass, about mundane matters like an awards show publicity stunt? Or is he supposed to keep these kinds of thoughts inside his head so he doesn’t muck up his presidential image? We’ll let you decide on that one. Meanwhile, Kanye West and Taylor Swift both took to television talk shows this week to hash out their feelings over the VMAs incident. While West once again apologized for his behavior on The Jay Leno Show, Taylor Swift told the ladies of The View that West hasn’t reached out to apologize directly to her yet.

Unfortunately you are wrong about that one. The majority of people in the United States have very limited exposure to black people if any exposure at all. Therefore black celebrities do represent the black race…. it sucks. Why can’t Denzel Washington go to the VMA’s ? He doesn’t have any music videos? Oh well.

I think that was very disrespectful of Kanye West, he does not represent the black race. That is not Byonce’s charactor she would never agree to such ignorance. Byonce has won many awards, maybe this is a big break for this young lady. He had no right to do that I think he should be fined for jumping on stage and insulting the young lady. No one deservse that type of treatment I don’ t care what race you are. The should have given him a breathe test, and sent him back home.
