The Voice Season 4 Live Recap – Blind Auditions Round 2

Round 2 of The Voice season 4 blind auditions are tonight. So far we have seen a lot of great talent and The Voice season 4 coaches are lucky to have the amazing contestants that they have chosen for their teams. The Voice 2013 is off to a great start and I can’t wait to see what the rest of The Voice season 4 has in store for us! Make sure you join me tonight for my The Voice Season 4 Live Recap! Last night on The Voice Season 4 premiere we were introduced to some amazing talent. If you missed last night episode don’t worry we have your recap right here.

The Voice - Season 4

I started to get a little worried with Team Adam because when the last audition for the night came on stage he still didn’t have anyone picked for his team. The last audition for the night was probably the most memorable of The Voice season 4 blind auditions, at least in my opinion. Judith Hill was a female duet singer for Michael Jackson. If her résumé didn’t impress you, you should have heard her voice! She immediately got the attention of Adam Levine, Usher, Shakira and Blake Shelton, who all fought tooth and nail for her. That’s the only contestant that went to Team Adam last night.

There were a lot of contestants with heart wrenching stories, one of the stories that touched my heart was James Irwin’s. James and his wife suffered a huge lose a couple years ago when the couple lost their identical twin girls while his wife was still pregnant. He dedicated his performance to his wife, son and his little girls, however the judges were not moved by his performance enough. The Voice blind auditions round 1 were amazing and I hope you will join me tonight for The Voice season 4 Live Recap for round 2 tonight at 8/7c.

Tawnya Reynolds is the first up for The Voice blind auditions tonight. She decides to sing “Mammas Don’t Let Their Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys” by Willie Nelson. Surprisingly the only coach who didn’t turn their chair for her was Blake. After Shakira pulls out her English-Country dictionary, Tawny picks to be on Team Shakira.

Josiah Hawley is the next contestant to try and wow the judges with his performance of “Sunday Morning” by Maroon 5. He gets instant attention from Blake and Usher, Adam is soon to follow but of course Josiah had to sing it better than he sings it to get his attention, right? I have to say, he was pretty close to blowing Adam out of the water, he was amazing. Of course he picked the song because he wanted to be on Team Adam, right? NO! He goes to Team Usher! Wow! Sorry Adam, better luck next time.

Midas Whale a duo made up of two friends from Idaho are next up to try and impress The Voice season 4 coaches. They perform “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash, they get everyone to turn for them! All of the coaches think they are out when the guys start talking to Shakira in Spanish, fluently. They choose to go with Team Adam, even though they pointed out that Usher turned his chair first.

Abraham McDonald is the next contestant up, he sings “Best Thing I Never Had” by Beyonce Knowles. Honestly, considering he’s singing a song written and sung by a woman, I think he nailed it. Unfortunately, none of the coaches thought the same. They feel that because of the deepness in his voice he sounded strained on the high notes.

Cáthia it the next one on The Voice season 4 blind auditions. She sings a song called “No Me Doy Por Vencido” by Luis Fonsi. The songs title translates to “I don’t give up”. Everyone but Adam turned their chairs for her, although I couldn’t understand the song, her voice was amazing. I would think this is a no-brainer, she’s probably going to pick Shakira, right? This time I’m right! She goes with Team Shakira.

Sarah Simmons is the final audition for tonight. All of The Voice season 4 coaches have picked someone tonight except Blake. Sarah chooses one of my favorite songs “One Of Us” by Joan Osbourne. She kills it, they definitely saved the best for last tonight! After her amazing reviews and all of the judges fighting for her to be on their team, Sarah chooses to go with Team Adam!

Unfortunately, Blake is left with no one tonight but check out my The Voice Live Recap next Monday at 8/7c to find out who he gets next week!

  1. Sarah was totally the best last night! I’m really glad she picked Adam for her coach, they’re going to be awesome together. I can’t wait to see what happens next week.
