Whitney Houston dead of unknown causes at Beverly Hills hotel

Superstar pop icon Whitney Houston is dead at the age of 48 from uknown causes. The “Waiting to Exhale” star was reportedly found dead by friends in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday afternoon. Although no official cause of death has yet been determined, there is already mass speculation the “I Will Always Love You” singer may have died of a drug overdose due to her confessed history of drug abuse.

Mark Rosen, a lieutenant with the Beverly Hills Police Department, confirmed Whitney Houston’s death by unknown causes in a press conference on Saturday evening. According to Rosen, police and fire department emergency responders arrived at the Beverly Hilton Hotel just a few minutes after an emergency medical call was placed to 911 on Saturday afternoon. Rescue personnel found Whitney Houston unresponsive in a hotel room on the fourth floor and attempted to do what they could for Houston, but were unable to revive the singer.

Attempts to resuscitate Houston were stopped after only a short time, according to various media reports, and she was not transported to a hospital. This implies that Houston was so obviously incapable of being revived that there was no point in continuing, or that the singer had been deceased for a significant point of time before rescue personnel arrived. Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m at the scene and her body remained at the hotel while an initial investigation was launched by police.

Whitney Houston’s body was officially  identified by friends, family and co-workers who were with her at the hotel room and her next of kin have been notified. There were no “obvious signs of any criminal intent,” according to Rosen, and the death is now under investigation by the Beverly Hills Police Department.3:55 p.m.

I knew her well and I knew her father John, her aunt Dionne Warwick,& her brother Gary Garland. I loved Nippy, but I think it grossly unfair to blame Bobby Brown for her drug problem. They both had a co-dependency that fed off of each other! That co-dependency was unfortunate and had toxic manifestations for her life. I knew her under much happier circumstances when she gave birth to Bobbi Kristina at Morristown Memorial Hospital in NJ when she and Bobby Brown were living in Mendham township next to Morristown. I provided some helpful suggestions to Nippy and Bobby about infant care basics and she loved that, and called me to thank me for helping her with Bobbi Kristina. Years later,I ran into her again in Ft. Lauderdale,Fl. when I left NJ and relocated to Florida. She made a court appearance at Bobby’s speeding trial and she called me when she was in Florida to say Hello!
