The Biggest Loser 2013 Season 14 Recap: Episode 10 Spoilers – Makeover Week

One of the best episodes of the season on The Biggest Loser 2013 Season 14 is when the contestants get the makeovers to show off that smaller body they have been working so hard to get to on The Biggest Loser 2013. These final five contestants still have a long way to go before the final weigh-in on The Biggest Loser Season 14 Finale, but it is time for them to take a look at their new bodies and embrace them tonight with the help of both Tim Gunn and Ken Paves. Check out their new looks with me during our The Biggest Loser 2013 Season 14 Recap and find out who was eliminated on The Biggest Loser Challenge America.

The Biggest Loser - Season 14

Last week on The Biggest Loser 2013, the contestants had to go face-face-with their biggest fears and while it seemed like more of a ploy then anything, the contestants did take on some “fears” they had. The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper took Joe out into the water to swim with the sharks that weren’t even in the water. Gina did spend some time shut in a coffin, which would be scary as hell. Danni sang the National Anthem in front of a bar. All seemed pretty lame, but in the end Alex was voted off.

Tonight, the contestants are given another chance to gain immunity for everyone if they can hit a certain number at weigh-in. That number will come after a week of being home for makeovers and revealing them to their families. Being home also mean being tempted with all the bad foods from their past. Can they fight the temptation tonight?

It starts with the final five taking a limo and having a toast to celebrate makesovers. They pull up and meet Tim Gunn and Ken Paves and are so excited. The kids are there too and they will be getting makeovers as well. Ken heads to his salon for later, but Tim takes them to get clothes.

Lindsay is first and she is loving it. Jackson is next and he is loving how skinny he looks. Tim tells Joe that he is close to being fully baked, if he were a baker and looking at his cake. Who knows with Tim sometimes! He tells Jeff that he is looking really good. Sunny doesn’t look like she has lost a pound. Tim wants to put Gina in a leather skirt and look sexy, not matronly. Tim said the hardest person to put clothes on are teen boys, which Biingo makes it difficult. Danni puts on skinny jeans and makes me cry…damn her!

Time for them to all head over to Ken’s salon for the hair makeover! They are all excited and Ken is ready for them to go home and show it off!

A look at their journeys on the season as they head home. Gina’s hair looks awesome and they all look so good. I am a big crying mess, but as they give their speeches and their loved ones tell their stories and the tears continue!

Now for a shocker, as the contestants get a letter from the ranch. If they can lose 5% of their body weight in the next two weeks, then they get immunity. If they don’t, there is no Yellow Line and anyone is up for elimination! They will also challenge their communities while home.

Nothing good in Jackson’s fridge, so he talks with his mom about what they need to be eating. Gina goes out to their favorite Mexican restaurant and she struggles with not eating the chips and salsa and then tries to order healthy, but gets chicken drowning in cheese. Jeff goes out with his friends and there is one thing on the menu to order and his friends are not being supportive. Joe goes out to their favorite restaurant and he is having a hard time seeing all of his old favorite dishes, but he orders healthy and is a good boy!

Gina sends her food back and gets the right dish this time and is happy. Jeff’s friends aren’t overweight, so he doesn’t blame them for eating unhealthy, but Jeff gets his salad.

Back at home, Jeff’s family setup a mini gym in the basement in his room for him so he is not sitting in his bed and eating and watching TV. Danni has a moment with her dad and knows they have to be more open with their conversations and their health on The Biggest Loser 2013.

Now the contestants will workout with their communities in a workout they planned. Danni’s dad is their working out and she is so happy to see him sweating. Then Joe’s brother is there and he is so proud of the weight he has lost on his own at home. Jeff seems to be the only one who is not working out during the workout and just leading.

The kids get their chance for some screen time and I am over them. They seem to annoy me more than make me happy or inspire me. Anyone else feel that way? Gina is missing the trainers are the gym, since they tell her what to do. Danni is working her two jobs while home? Jackson is focusing on time management and getting the gym into his day. I think Jeff is going home because he seems to be slacking this week or is it just me seeing this?

The contestants pack up and saying goodbye to their loved ones as they head back to The Biggest Loser 2013 ranch. They are all nervous to get on that scale for the weigh-in and lose that 5%.

Weigh-in time: Danni needs to lose 10 pounds for the 5% and is down 10 pounds, so she is safe. Jackson needs to lose 13 pounds and he is down 15 pounds, so he is safe also. Joe needs to lose 14 pounds and he is down 17 pounds, so he is safe also. Jeff needs to lose 15 pounds and he is down 19 pounds, so he is safe also. It all comes down to Gina to see if they all get immunity! Gina needs to lose 9 pounds and she is down 10 pounds, so she is safe also!

That means all the contestants meet their 5% goal and they are all safe on The Biggest Loser 2013, so no one goes home tonight! Congrats to them all!

Next week is the final weigh-in and this is how it works: The top two weight loss percentages for the week automatically make the finale. There will be a Red Line and the lowest weight loss percentage is going home automatically! Then there will be a Yellow Line and the 3rd and 4th place will have a vote to see who makes the finale, but the vote will be by America and the results will be revealed on the live finale!

  1. The makeovers are always so much fun, and I think that everyone that loses a lot of weight should do something big like this to celebrate. You could just see how those new clothes gave the contestants so much confidence and verified all of the effort they have been putting in.
