Music superstar Adele recently cancelled her last shows in London after claiming to have damaged vocal cords because of the last minute extra gigs she added while on tour and her fans are furious.
The south London singer released a statement informing almost 100,000 disappointed fans that she will not be able to perform due to damaged vocal cords. She also insisted that she was heartbroken.
Some fans expressed sympathy for the 29-year-oldd mother of one, however, many others were angry over the money they lost after reserving travel and hotel.
They also pointed out that it was unfair that after booking tickets over 6 months they couldn’t see her yet others were able to snap up last minute gigs.
One angry Twitter user, who bought tickets last December, wrote, “She added more dates…all before tonight’s gig…Can’t help but feel cheated that she wouldn’t have strained her voice and we would’ve seen her.”
“The added dates got to see her and we didn’t. Just gutted she won’t be touring anymore. Hey ho my son has a life lesson in disappointment. Just hope we get all money back from travel arrangements xx
“‘I am gutted and so is my five-year-old boy who has been so excited since Christmas day when receiving his ticket! Obviously we love Adele and want her to recover…but can’t help but feel a massive let down when we bought the tickets when she first released them”
Fan Anne Crocker wrote: “She has been rather greedy and rather over rated. Boring songs which she shouts out…no wonder her voice broke…let’s hope she gives up some of her cash for a worthy charitable cause and refunds money appropriately.”
