The winner of The Voice 2017 will be determined this week on The Voice Season 12! We start tonight with the Voice Finale performances, as the Voice Top 4 perform for your votes one last time. Check it out with us during our The Voice 2017 Live Recap and see the Top 4 on The Voice Season 12 perform!
Last week on The Voice USA Season 12, it was the semifinals and half of the artists would be headed home! They all felt the pressure, as they performed Monday Night for your votes. They each performed a new solo and then duets with one of the other artists. This was the night to have an amazing night and Chris Blue definitely had that. Both of his performances ended up in the Top 10 on iTunes, so he was a shoe-in to make the Voice Finale. On Tuesday Night, the Voice Results were read by Carson Daly and we saw four artists move on and four artists eliminated after the final Voice Save was used.

We start with a look at the Voice Top 4 and some words from their coaches. For the performances tonight, we have the Top 4 singing three times: a new cover, a duet with their coach and then the debut of their new single! Time to get to those performances on The Voice 2017!
Aliyah Moulden – Team Blake – “Never Be Lonely” (Her New Original Single)
Blake said this is right up her alley with pop and old school blended together. He said to hurry up and get this on iTunes, as he wants to buy it! To be honest, I liked this song. I loved the way she sounded on it and think it was catchy. However, I was over the kids dancing on the stage with her to try and make it more youthful. It didn’t seem to blend for me.
COACHES’ THOUGHTS – Gwen said the funnest thing is watching her evolve in front of their eyes. She stuck to being her age with her fashion and this song, she can see where she is going. Blake said it sounds so perfect for her. To see that kind of performance from her and the kid that came for her blind audition to Glee that just happened on stage.
Jesse Larson – Team Adam – “Takin’ It To The Streets” by The Doobie Brothers
Carson Daly sits down with Jesse and Adam to chat. Carson said he almost didn’t make it here, as Adam was the only one that turned down for him! Adam said he is jealous of Jesse for singing this song. I do love Jesse’s voice and think this was a fun performance. I just don’t think it allowed him to show off his amazing vocals like he can. He did show off his guitar skills on The Voice 2017!
COACHES’ THOUGHTS – Alicia said that was dope. His voice has never sounded better and he was in his element right here. She loves and respects what him and Adam are doing together. Adam said he is so happy that they managed to get through this whole thing and not deviating from who he is. The coolest thing about this guy is that he does it with such a humble attitude.
Chris Blue and Alicia Keys – “Diamonds and Pearls” by Prince and The New Generation
The intro video was cute, as Alicia said this won’t be the last time she performs on a stage with Chris Blue and he gets all giddy! This was amazing and gave me goosebumps! Chris is an entertainer and he was up there working it on this one. I mean, can you imagine being put to the task of singing a duet with Alicia Keys? He was and he held his own and they sounded great together!
Lauren Duski – Team Blake – “The Dance” by Garth Brooks
They sit down with Carson and he asked if she peaked too early, as she hit #1 last week. Blake said it’s nice to hit a high and plateau there! This was a simple song and performance, but she has such a strong country voice. She is always so solid when she sings and so soothing. It was kind of nice hearing a woman sing this Garth Brooks classic.
COACHES’ THOUGHTS – Adam said she has a voice that they have all loved from the beginning. She has a voice that is familiar and comforting and that is why everyone loves what she does. Blake said he can’t stop smiling right now. That is one of the most important songs in country music and she was literally making him feel like he was hearing it for the first time.
Aliyah Moulden and Blake Shelton – “Dancing in the Street” by Martha & The Vandellas
Blake said when he thinks of Aliyah, he can’t think of her walking down the street without dancing. Of course, this is fun and upbeat. However, it seems like an odd song choice for Aliyah on The Voice 2017. She is going upbeat tonight on the Voice Finale, but it seems like those slower, emotional songs helped get her here!
Chris Blue – Team Alicia – “Money On You” (New Original Song)
Alicia said his energy and confidence will sell this song. She said there is not a soul in this world not dancing to this song. Like I said before, he is definitely an entertainer and he was having fun up there. It is crazy his range and how high he can get and sound good. I think I could like this song after listening to it a few more times.
COACHES’ THOUGHTS – Alicia said wow. When she watches him perform, she is already at his show and listening to his music. She is already there and there is this electricity when he comes into the room.
Jesse Larson and Adam Levine – “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince
It looks like it is Prince Night, huh? Another duet on The Voice 2017 with a Prince song. I don’t know why they do this, but it always seems like the background music and production is louder than the actual singer. It is tough to hear Jesse at times, which sucks. They had fun and were doing their guitar riffs, so they were both happy campers!
Lauren Duski and Blake Shelton – “There’s A Tear In My Beer” by Hank Williams, Jr.
Blake said he is glad this is not a competition, as he would get the crap beat out of him. He would need to go get a beer to cry in! They both sound good on this one and Lauren sounds great. Again, great hearing a female voice on this classic song. The actually duet is not working though, as they don’t seem to be singing together a lot and each taking their own part.
Jesse Larson – Team Adam – “Woman” (New Original Song)
This song was written by Chris Stapleton for Jesse! He sang two of his songs this season on The Voice 2017, so fitting for his original song. I love Jesse, but this one seemed a little slow and blah compared to the others. I was just waiting for it to go somewhere bigger the whole time. Then it came towards the end and made it better.
COACHES’ THOUGHTS – Adam said he has been doing this show for twelve seasons. This show is called The Voice and he wants to get back to that thing. Don’t vote for Jesse unless you want that quality in a voice winner. This guy embodies what The Voice should be about.
Aliyah Moulden – Team Blake – “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” by Stevie Wonder
They sit down with Carson Daly. Aliyah is the youngest artist to ever sing in a Voice Finale! Blake said this song brings her back full circle, but shows us how much better of a singer she got on the show. I do like this performance and it is great to see how comfortable she is up on that stage. No nerves, as she is singing in the Voice Finale! She has fun and sounds good on this one.
COACHES’ THOUGHTS – Blake said that every time she gets on that stage, she makes America smile and makes them forget. America has to vote for Aliyah!
Lauren Duski – Team Blake – “Deja Vu” (New Original Song)
Lauren actually wrote this song herself! Blake said she is a record producer’s dream. Lauren said she has been in Nashville for a couple years now, but never had the nerve to release any of her own music. It is so nice to hear her singing her own music. I do think she is going to have a career in country music, even if she does not win tomorrow night. She has the total look and voice of a star and this song was great and she was feeling those lyrics!
COACHES’ THOUGHTS – Blake said let me be the first to congratulate her on writing her first #1 song. They have had some incredible moments on this show. I don’t know if we’ve had an artist come out here and sing their own song that was that beautiful.
Chris Blue – Team Alicia – “Rhythm Nation” by Janet Jackson
They sit down and talk about his journey on The Voice 2017, as he was the last artist to audition this season! I am not sure about this song choice, but we shall see! This is not one of his best vocal performances. The song just didn’t allow for it, but he is an entertainer. He was up there and dancing and making it enjoyable. I think this should have been one of his other performances and not the last one. Or is it just me? The crowd definitely seems to be loving it and him tonight!
COACHES’ THOUGHTS – Alicia said he came out tonight and he showed people he is everything. America needs to know, together we can say we started Chris Blue’s career tonight!
