We had some interesting dates tonight on First Dates NBC, as these couples were taking on some odd topics. We had one guy that is a medium, but his date did not seem to believe him! Then we had a familiar face back on First Dates Season 1, but would he get friend zoned again? Check out the details from Week 7 in our First Dates NBC Recap below!
Last week on NBC’s First Dates 2017, the topic of the night seemed to be monogamy. Most of the dates seemed to be talking about it. We saw one guy bring all the things to do on their date. He brought a Jenga board with questions he wrote, which she seemed to love. He even brought out his guitar and sang her a song in the confession room. We saw two guys go out and they seemed to go for a hookup, as the one said monogamy is overrated. There was also the sweetest guy in Stanten, but apparently a hopeless romantic was too much for his date. We also had a dirty old man, who was working his magic with all the ladies. Maybe he met one that settled him down, as they have been dating since the show!
Will love be found this week on First Dates Season 1? Find out what the new couples had to offer below!
Warning: This post contains spoilers from First Dates tonight on NBC, so stop reading now if you don’t want to know what happened!!!
Kyle & Justine
He worries that his Jersey attitude works against. He takes a lot of selfies and most girls think he is a player. She is a web designer. Justine said she was bullied in high school. She said she has dated all of the wrong guys. Kyle talks about things he looks for in a lady and Justine thinks it is all vain stuff. He is very sarcastic and it can come off as rude. Kyle said she is guarded and wanted to know why, so she talks about being bullied. She has had work done to fix issues and now goes to high schools to talk about bullying. Justine thought he was the typical Jersey guy when she first met him. He wants a second date and she agrees to it. She said this date made her realize that she needs to be more open-minded and not judge people.
Jennifer & Doug
She is a divorced entrepreneur. He said he is more of a Fred Flintstone type of a guy and does not find himself sexy. Doug is divorced also and said he was married to Bill Gates’ sister! Jennifer has traveled to 37 countries. She talks about her divorce and how she was not desired by her ex-husband. They both talk more about their divorce and it was not his choice and he still feels pain. Things seem to be going well, but then he said he was being a fraud. She seems so classy and together, but he is not that way. Things get awkward there. In the confession room, he wants a second date, but she turns him down. She said he was always comparing himself to her and he is a good guy and needs to know that. However, no second date for them on First Dates NBC.
Logan & Jacob
So, Logan is a medium and talks to dead people. This should make for an interesting date on First Dates NBC 2017! Jacob said he is 24, which is 34 in gay years and he needs to find someone now. Logan is only 20 years old, so Jacob asks if he is okay with him drinking. Jacob seems to be throwing down the drinks, as they start talking about the medium job. It is awkward, so Logan goes into the bathroom and calls his dad (so cute)! His dad said just be himself. Back at the table, they talk about their families and being gay. Jacob asks for a reading and Logan tries, but is not very successful. This is awkward also. They both agree that there will be no second date, as Logan said he was rude!
Stanten & Bria
Stanten is back for a second time! He said he always gets put in the “friends zone” and he is used to it. Now we have Bria, who said she is old school and said the guy should be dressed nicely and be the man in a relationship. She said the #1 rule on a date: be a gentleman. She wants her chair pulled out for her, the door opened for her and so on. Stanten passes, as he pulls out the chair for her. Bria is very forward and holds nothing back and seems like she would walk all over Stanten in an instant! Bria said she is not as complicated as it seems. In the confessional, Bria said it is in his court to plan and execute a second date. So, he asks to go out and play some basketball and she agrees! They did go on the date, but Stanten ended up in the friend zone again! He was too nice for her anyway!
Matt & Marie
Matt said everyone has scars, but he is lucky enough to have them on the outside. He survived a bon fire accident when he was 19 years old. Marie has been single her whole life, as she has never had a boyfriend. Her dad passed away during her senior year of high school, so she doesn’t want to give herself up to someone and get hurt. He is ready to start a family, but she said she does not want kids. Marie said the world is corrupt and does not want to bring someone into that. He said they could change that and is optimistic, but she said the two of them can’t change the world. Matt talks about the fire and how it made him more confident in life. They talk about her dad and him passing away. I love Matt and his upbeat attitude and humor. They both agree to a second date on First Dates NBC 2017!
