The Blacklist season 4 finale is a two-part episode. The first episode will air at 9/8c and is titled “Mr. Kaplan.” The episode synopsis reads, “Raymond Reddington tracks a high-end thief enlisted by Mr. Kaplan for a mysterious assignment; Aram Mojtabai faces a tough decision when agent Julian Gale goes to extreme measures in his investigation into the Task Force’s conduct.” The second part is titled “Mr. Kaplan: Conclusion.” The episode synopsis reads, “Red sets a dangerous plan in motion to save himself and the Task Force as Kaplan engages in the final phase of her assault on his criminal empire; Elizabeth Keen confronts the biggest questions about her past.” For a refresher on what happened last week, read my recap of episode 20.
In The Blacklist season 4 finale promo video, Red tells Liz, “Four years ago I surrendered to protect you. It appears Kate may be right after all. Maybe I am the person you need protection from.” Later, he calls Mr. Kaplan and tells her, “Five o’clock. The war ends tonight.” Then, Mr. Kaplan tells someone, “I’m going to give her what he will not: the truth.” She’s shown holding hands with Liz. At the end of the promo, Harold Cooper tells Liz, “We’ll finally know whether or not Raymond Reddington is your father.” Watch The Blacklist season 4 finale promo video below.
