The whole incident, naturally, was captured on video. The Blount punch video topped searches on Google and other search engines Thursday night and Friday morning, leading football fans to ponder what kind of punishment Blount would receive for his attack on Hout.

After reviewing the video of the incident, Oregon State suspended LeGarrette Blount for the remainder of the season on Friday. Blount issued an apology for his actions to the press, saying that he “lost my head. I lost my temper. I apologize.”

Oregon Coach Chip Kelly issued a statement on Friday saying Blount would be allowed to stay on scholarship and practice with the team for the remainder of the year.
