Raymond Reddington assigns the task force to trail a Blacklister who can manipulate memories in The Blacklist season 4 episode 19. For a refresher on what happened last week, read my recap of episode 18.
The Blacklist season 4 episode 19 opens on Bogan Krilov. He tells a man that he’s going to erase all of his memories of a death he witnessed. He’s interrupted by Mr. Kaplan, who has a job for him.
Detective Elijah Bell calls Donald Ressler. He tells him about a new witness in the disappearance of Reven Wright.
Later, Krilov sees Elizabeth Keen and Samar Navabi confiscating his equipment. He calls Mr. Kaplan and says that they can’t replace his equipment because no one else does what he does. Mr. Kaplan says, “That’s not exactly true. Take out a pen and paper.”
Red visits a cafe and shows the woman working a picture of Mr. Kaplan. The woman tells him that Mr. Kaplan was there that morning and she believes that she’s staying a couple blocks away.
Red searches a train for Mr. Kaplan. A woman hands him a phone and he uses it to call her. She tells him where she’s heading and says she’ll call him when she gets there.
Red calls Liz to tell her where Mr. Kaplan is heading. They speculate about whether she would use Liz to hurt Red.
Ressler talks to Laurel Hitchin. But, it’s revealed that Ressler is actually with Krilov and that he’s giving him false memories of speaking to Laurel.
Aram Mojtabai tracks a signal from Krilov’s equipment. Liz and Samar head out to the clinic in Maryland where the signal is coming from.
Mr. Kaplan tells Werner, former partner of Red’s, the truth about Red’s involvement in his son’s death. But, when he seeks his revenge, Red is a step ahead of him and shoots him first.
Liz and Samar ask Krilov where Ressler is. But, he says he’s refusing to talk until his lawyer is present. So, Liz grabs a syringe to threaten him.
Red and Dembe walk through the woods. Red says that all Werner’s allies will be after them. He tells Dembe, “For the time being, we’ll have to be comfortable with chaos.”
Liz and Samar track Ressler to Laurel’s house. They find Ressler there, attempting to take Laurel out because he believes she’s hurting witnesses in the Revens case. Liz tells him that there is no Detective Elijah Bell and Ressler had false memories planted in his mind.
At the end of the episode, Liz meets Agent Gale. He questions her about the task force, but she doesn’t tell him anything.
