February is the month for lovers… or is it? Three celebrities are in the spotlight once again, this time for broken wedding vows. For Kelsey Grammer, Ashlee Simpson and Charlie Sheen, this is the month for ex-lovers. These three celebrities are all contestants for Hollywood’s latest round of celebrity splits.

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller filed divorce papers today in the L.A. County Superior Court. Even with the papers filed, California law will force them to wait six months before the divorce is finalized. Ladies, Charlie will be a free man on May 2nd, 2011. According to documents that TMZ.com obtained, the two will get joint custody of twins Bob and Max, with Brooke having primary physical custody. Child support, in the amount of $55,000 a month, will also be granted to Brooke.
The settlement outlines that “under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to Denise Richards for Sam and Lola.” Also, Brooke will get a lump sum of $757,698.70 and one million dollars for her portion of the family homestead, that Charlie is keeping. What does Charlie get out of the deal? An empty house and a second ex-wife to his name is his gain. Don’t feel too sorry for him though. His per episode earnings on the hit show Two and a half Men is close to a cool two million. I think financially he is going to be fine.
Former Cheers and Fraiser star Kelsey Grammer is officially single today. A judge in the L.A. County Superior Court signed the divorce decree for Camille and Kelsey Grammer a few very few minutes ago, according to TMZ. Also reported by them, the property settlement for the pair will be resolved at a later date. In order to get the divorce, Kelsey had to post $2.3 million, which protects Camille’s pension rights against any new spouse. Life as a single is just a very temporary concept for Kelsey, as he plans on marrying girlfriend Kayte Walsh at the end of this month.
As previously reported, singer and actor Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce yesterday from musician husband, Pete Wentz. Married in 2008, the couple has a two year old son, Bronx. They have agreed to joint custody, with Simpson receiving physical primary custody. Simpson listed “irreconcilable differences” for grounds of the divorce. The couple seperated for a brief period last fall.
