Jimmy McGill is arrested in Better Call Saul season 3 episode 3. For a refresher on what happened last week, read my recap of episode 2.
Better Call Saul season 3 episode 3 opens on a Los Pollos truck driving through the desert.
Later, Mike Ehrmantraut finds a phone in the street. Gus Fring is on the other line. He tells him not to use his gun and to expect two cars. Then, Mike tosses the phone aside.
Meanwhile, Jimmy is arrested. While he’s being taken into a holding cell, a prosecutor mocks him.
The next morning, Kim Wexler wakes up in her office at 5:30 a.m. She showers and goes through her morning routine at a gym. Then, she finds Ernesto waiting for her and he tells her about Jimmy’s arrest.
Later, Mike visits a doctor. He tells him that he needs a package. Then, he leaves the office holding a white paper bag.
At the court house, Jimmy sits down next to the prosecutor who mocked him previously. He tells him there’s no way his case is going to trial. But, then he says that he’s always ready to make a deal. Howevear, the prosecutor tells him he’s not the one assigned to his case.
Later, Chuck McGill meets with Ms. Haig, the prosecutor on the case. When she says that the case could go to trial, Chuck says that there may be a better solution for everyone.
Meanwhile, in the desert, Mike hides with a sniper rifle set up. A truck drives by and two men step out. Mike starts firing shots off, but not aiming for the men. Then, they get back in the truck and drive away.
At the end of the episode, Jimmy tells Kim that Chuck wants him disbarred. So, Kim says that she’ll help him argue this. Then, he asks why she’d help him. She takes his hand and says, “Let’s just call it the phallacy of sunk costs.” So, with Kim on his side, he decides not to take the plea deal that would get him disbarred.
