Spencer Hastings learns more about her connection to Mary Drake in Pretty Little Liars season 7 episode 11. For a refresher on what happened last time, read my recap of episode 10.
Pretty Little Liars season 7 episode 11 opens with Spencer in an ambulance. The EMT tells her that she’s lost a lot of blood.
The other Liars arrive at the hospital to check on Spencer. They see Toby Cavanaugh also enter the hospital, unconscious on a gurney.
A week later, Toby talks to Aria Montgomery. She tells him that Spencer is home from the hospital.
Later, Spencer sends an S.O.S. text to all the Liars. She shows them a package that arrived at the barn. The card says that it’s from A.D. Inside, there’s a game that has a model of Rosewood and tiny player pieces of all the Liars. Text appears on a panel on the side of the game that reads “endgame, bitches.”
Emily Fields suggests that Noel Kahn could’ve set this up before he died. But, Spencer rejects that idea and adds that Jenna Marshall couldn’t have built this herself.
Spencer talks to Marco Furey. He says that the gun Jenna was holding doesn’t match the bullet in Spencer, meaning there were two different guns. He implies that Mary Drake may have been the one who actually shot her.
Hanna and Aria look at a wedding venue. They run into Holden Strauss. He tells her that he’s working as a chef at the venue.
Later, Spencer confronts Veronica Hastings. She tells her that Mary Drake said she’s her biological mother. Veronica says that Mary Drake is insane. Spencer tells her, “That’s not a denial.”
Veronica tells Spencer that her father was with Mary while he thought she was Jessica DiLaurentis. Veronica says that she couldn’t let Mary have a baby in a mental hospital and let that baby end up in the system.
Back at the barn, Spencer engages with the board game. It asks her to pick either truth or dare. She selects dare. It tells her “visit a sick friend, get a reward” and shows a picture of Toby.
Spencer visits Toby in the hospital. He hugs her and she tells him how sorry she is that his fiancé Yvonne Phillips is in a coma.
When Spencer returns from the hospital, the game prints out her “prize.” It’s a letter that Mary Drake wrote to her right after she was born.
Later, Veronica finds Spencer asleep with the letter next to her. She pulls a blanket over body.
At the end of the episode, Jenna sits in a room. She says, “You said you’d tell me today about the game.” Someone hands her a binder full of papers written in Braille. She reads them, then smiles and says, “Endgame.”
