Hannah Horvath embarks on a new chapter in the Girls series finale. For a refresher on what happened last week, read my recap of episode 9.
The Girls series finale opens with Hannah and Marnie Michaels sleeping in bed together at Hannah’s house. Hannah wakes up and asks Marnie when she got there. Marnie says that she snuck in at 1 a.m. She says that she’d like to help Hannah raise her baby.
Marnie says that of all Hannah’s friends, she’s the one who’s there. She says that she loves her the most. Hannah says, “Okay.”
Later, Hannah holds her baby Grover in the hospital at a check up. She says that her son isn’t breastfeeding anymore, he’ll only drink from a bottle. The doctor tells her that sometimes there’s something with breastfeeding that’s just off.
At home, Hannah tries to breastfeed. Marnie reads off instructions from a book, but Hannah doesn’t want her help.
Later, Marnie privately tries to have FaceTime sex with a guy named Delvin. Loreen Horvath interrupts her to tell her that she thinks they’re out of breastmilk. Marnie puts her pajamas on, then tells Loreen that she used the last bottle so they’ll have to wait for Hannah to get back.
Hannah gets home and picks up Grover, who’s crying. She tries again to breastfeed him and this time he latches.
