American Idol 2013 Season 12: Ratings Down For Hollywood Week Premiere

Hollywood Week on American Idol 2013 Season 12 did not save the American Idol 2013 ratings last night, so does the sink continue to sink for this singing competition? American Idol used to dominate in the ratings, but now it seems the ratings are going down and down every week and every season. Time to pull the plug on American Idol 2013?

Idol2013-Hollywood

Don’t get me wrong, Idol still did win the night, but when would 14.18 million viewers be an acceptable amount of people watching for FOX? The new American Idol judges 2013 are not bringing in the viewers like they had hoped, or maybe it is the fact that the producers have made it all about the judges and their stupid, over-hyped drama that is sending viewers away?

For the night last night, American Idol 2013 Season 12 was down 16% just from last week and down 25% from last season! Those are some big decreases, right? Hollywood Week didn’t increase the viewers, but maybe the live shows will?

  1. the judging of the women the other night – sheeeshh – if it wasn’t biased then – it never will be – cut 2 good ones and kept one of if not the worst one

  2. This show has jumped the shark. I don’t think Cousin Oliver could save this show.

  3. Nicki Minaj will be the down fall of the show. She really has no talent except adding all that fake stuff to her face and hair, not very professional in her attitude toward other judges or contestants. Whatever their paying her is too much.

A.I is dead plain and simple.

The focus each week is on those absolutely horrible judges, next to them Simon Cowell is Paul McCartney seriously.

A.I got it all wrong to replace Steven Tyler and J-Lo.

They’re still running the same old concept that has been past its prime since years.

Only things that saved it from boredom last year was the phenomenally talented Phillip Phillips.

Don’t look for any legit musician like him this year, they’re too busy arguing and mocking any contestant (making them more anxious = nervous breakdown for those young kids dreaming of making it).

Keith Urban (who was ironically a coach on The Voice Australia a few months ago) is adding nothing to the equation, he is a very poor old man Blake Shelton (I’m comparing him to Blake for the “country demo factor”.

And that leads me to what has been and will be the nail in the coffin of A.I : The Voice on NBC being a vastly superior “musical” show in any area possible.

From coaches having great chemistry, being legit talented artists AND Respecting every single contestant.

To the contestants themselves, the level of vocal talents on The Voice makes both X-Factor and A.I sounding like Karaoke contests IMO

After watching the first few shows, will no longer watch as long as Nicki is on the show as a judge. She is not an asset to anyone.
